Breathe Right Snore Relief Throat Strips-30 ct.

I was so sad to see that these have been discontinued. They worked wonders for my husband's snoring. We didn't know what to do, but I managed to get a hold of the ingredient list for this and similar products, as well as a couple of research papers discussing the treatment of snoring with essential oils (those are the active ingredients in this!), and I came up with my recipe, which has actually been working better than this, if such a thing is possible:

Wintergreen Oil 1 oz EssOil: 6 drops

Peppermint Oil 4 oz.: 3 drops

NOW Foods Clove Oil, 2 ounce: 4 drops

NOW Foods Anise Oil, 1 ounce (Pack of 2): 2 drops

I put all of this in a 2 oz. spray bottle. Just 15 drops! The stuff is concentrated! NOW Foods Glycerine Vegetable, 16-Fluid Ounces and Listerine were used for the rest of it. 1/3 glycerin and 2/3 Listerine. Mix it all up, and spray 4-6 times as tolerated at the back of the throat before going to sleep.

I'm so sad that this stuff has been discontinued, but at least Amazon had all the stuff I needed to make my own!

My husband snores pretty badly. We tried different solutions for years, but nothing was doing the trick, and we spent a lot of sleepless nights, or, if it was too bad, slept separately. I won't lie and say they're foolproof, but there has been a marked improvement. My husband complains that it feels like his throat is being slightly numbed, and that he coughs up greenish blue gunk in the mornings (he says he'd prefer to try the throat spray or mouthwash varieties, but they're either impossible to find or impossibly expensive), but even he agrees that they're far less intrusive and more effective than many other "remedies," and that it's worth it so that we both get a decent night's sleep.

I was given 2 packets of Snore Relief by my brother on a family trip to the Grand Canyon because I was keeping everyone awake by my deep booming throat snoring. This products works for me exactly as the name suggests. It is easy to use and, according to my wife, stops my snoring. My last purchase was delivered on time and intact. The shipping and handling charges were exorbitant, but when you can only find one source you have no choice.

My Mom and Dad recommended these throat strip, along with using the Breathe Right nasal strips. Apparently, this combination has been the only thing that has made my dad's snoring more tolerable for my Mom.

However, after having used them for several weeks, I can't say I've noticed any difference in myself.

I guess each user is different. They may be worth your trying them: they worked (with the nasal strips) for my Dad, but not for me. They're inexpensive enough that they're worth a shot for anyone who has a problem with snoring or sleep apnea.
