I have used bipap for over a decade and wanted to try the new fx version of my normal mask. This was a waste of money for me, the mask just does not fit well, it rides all over my face at night and the plastic presses into my face in a manner that puts pressure on my eyes which caused my eye to have a lot of needed pressure all night long after 2 months of trying its no longer in use.

Since August, I have tried 2 kinds of Opus nasal pillows, and the ResMed Mirage Quattro. I had numerous problems with leaks and my nose was left with breakouts and bruising from the mask. I have had the Quattro FX in small for a month now and I love it! A little nose irritation on the first few days, but no more. My compliance has increased and my AHI is never larger than 0.5. I paid out of pocket for this one and it was worth the extra expense for a good night's sleep. Hopefully my insurance company will add this style ResMed mask to their list of "covered" DMEs.
