My family has been using this product for over a year and are very satisfied with it.

The dosage is very small (most melatonin supplements are 3 milligrams), but it produces adequate drowsiness for my sons and I, who have trouble falling asleep. Also, the tablets are small and taste blandly sweet, so they can be chewed if swallowing a pill is a problem.

Within about thirty minutes of taking this product, I feel sleepy, but not drugged. The effect does not last more than, say, an hour, if I decide not to go to sleep after all.

It has been very helpful for getting my sons, who have high-functioning autism, on a good sleep routine and I would recommend this smaller dosage to parents before trying a higher dosage or to parents of children who do not like the flavor of liquid supplements and/or cannot swallow pills. It also cost less than the liquid supplements I've seen.

LOVE this product, but seriously what is up with this price! They only cost ~$3 a bottle, times that by 6 and you get ~$18. Keep searching, and buy in singles if you have to, because this bulk pack is a RIPOFF!

He highly recommended this brand to me because of the way it is made in the laboratory. I use it as a chronobiotic which is taken about 100-150 mcg's 6 hours in advance of sleep onset.

After a lifetime of insomnia, I discovered Melatonin in a Newsweek article about 20 years ago and now I can fall asleep when I need to, instead of 3 or 4 hours later than that. Unfortunately, the supplement manufacturers offer it in enormous doses--far higher than anyone needs, which can lead to other problems. I started at 3 milligrams, then tried 1 milligram, which worked just as well. When I found the 300-microgram dose on the shelf, I tried that and it was perfect. 300 micrograms is only ONE-THIRD OF A MILLIGRAM, and it is still more than sufficient to induce sleep I have searched every store in my area and can't find that dosage, so I turned to Amazon. The only drawback is that I have to buy 6 bottles at a time, which is enough for about 18 months, but at least I have it on hand.

Highly pure Melatonin that does it's job(especially when combined with Tryptophan and 5-htp), but only going to give it 2 stars since it's hard to swallow because of the chalky consistency and rough edges on this pill. I have NO problems swallowing pills, even large horse sized pills that others complain about...but these pills are a pain to swallow. I wish sundown would make them into a gel type pill or just smoothen out the edges..would make it much easier to swallow.
