On my job, I often have to go offshore and wear ear plugs for long periods of time, including during sleep hours due to snoring of other workers in the same bunk room. I tried numerous types of foam earplugs with the same poor results-within one day my ears were extremely sore. These earplugs not only provide a higher noise reduction rate, but I have used them nearly continuosly day and night for 8 days at a time with no discomfort. I highly recommend these plugs for anyone who needs to sleep with hearing protection or for any other high noise exposure.
