There are no better earplugs on the market. Period. I'm down to my last box, so I'm reusing them for a week at a time; it's just laziness that has kept me from calling NYC. ;-) So delighted to discover this Amazon listing.
Friends come over and squeal when they see my well-handled earplugs sitting on the counter -they get dirty with hand-handling or if they fall on the floor -but I don't care. If I want to, I can hear the noise around me with the plugs in. I have extremely sensitive hearing, and find it difficult to do concentrated work, especially work I dont want to do, without a buffer. These provide that. On the other hand, you can squish them further into your ear canal for a real seal, and you won't hear a thing.
I think they work on the same principle as wax on top of homemade jam.
The absolute best. And I tried every other earplug on the market, and occasionally see if any new ones can best them. They can't. I've used them for 25 years.

These really are the best ear plugs. We use them all of the time. They do not hurt your ear or build up with wax. They are not suggested for re-use, but if you keep them clean you can re-use a few times. Afterall, the foam ones are designed to be used over a long period of time, why not also these wax earplugs. If you think all wax ear plugs are the same, you would be wrong. My only compliant is I wish they were available at more stores. Also, they are a bit expensive.Read Best Reviews of Boules Quies Protection Auditive Earplugs, Made in France Here
When I first tried these earplugs out, I was very disappointed. The sound I wanted to escape from still came through. Like another reviewer here, I also got scared I could not get them out, they were so small for my ear. I stopped using them for a week or so and tried still others, even though I thought I had tried all the earplugs that are sold. I tried some dubious wax ones that were much larger and less comfortable inside the ear when -presto! I discovered how I'd been using Quies all wrong at the start! Here's what I do now: I mold them into tiny missiles that can be inserted down my ear canal. What's left of the tail-end, I mash against the opening of the ear in order to full cover it. Like magic, the sound drifts away and when I wake, yes, there's a little picking I have to do to remove them, though no more fear, and I toss them out.
They're very comfortable. The cotton that protects them is a bit of a pain to remove since it sticks to the wax.
Out of the very many earplugs I have tried, I feel the Quies are the best and the most comfortable for a good night's sleep.

They are OK, but not perfect. I have used the Flents ear stopples in the past, but decided to try these based on the reviews. I am not a fan. First, they come with a cotton coating, which is a pain-in-the-stern to remove. But my biggest complaint is that they are so small! I was very concerned about getting one in my ear canal and not being able to get it out. I have found that I have to combine 3 of them to have a mass large enough to cover and seal my ear. Using 6 at a time is not very cost effective. Probably going back to the Flents.
