I have tried this many times and it does not work. It's annoying. It sounds like static sounds. I think it is supposed to sound like rain, but it's just annoying. Waste of money.

I have to say, this is the most disapppointing products I have bought in years. The "sleep" noise is annoying and doesn't make me or my daughter restful. It eats battery power like crazy. We have only had it 2 weeks and are on our 3rd battery. The problem is between the both of us we have used it only a half a dozen times. We were trying to like it. I am calling customer service to see if I can return it.

I love this sleep solution, I get both a night sleep aid and their NAP26 product works like nothing I have ever tried before. I can't take naps on my own as I sleep too long, and NAP26 always wakes me up in 26-minutes feeling rested.

My chiropractor recommended binaural beats (which is what the static noises the other reviewers refer to are). This does allow me to nap in my car on my lunch break from work, which I've never been able to do before. I like that it is it's own player so I can just leave it in my car and not have to remember to bring my iPod. I don't use it enough (maybe once a month) to know if it eats batteries, but I do keep a 4 pack of AAAs from the dollar store with it in my glove box.

Anyone with sleep problems, should make sure there is not a medical reason for their sleep issues. An mp3 cannot cure these issues. I highly recommend reading The Mood Cure by Julia Ross. You can take the quiz here and see if the cures in the book would be beneficial:

I keep this in my purse at all times. Whenever I have a chance for a nap, I know without a doubt that I can use this and only nap for the 26 minutes and wake up having energy to go!! I had previously had the two CD set, one for naps and the other for sleeping all night. I always carried them with me in my backpack, along with portable CD player, but my backpack was stolen. I had to have them again, so I ordered another set.
