Ok, I've seen the reviews for simular products that seemed to be all over the map about ultrasonic cleaners for dental devices and took a chance on this one since there were no reviews available.

1. The unit is pretty quiet considering the frequency at which it operates...I would liken it to the noise level of an electric tooth brush. It also stays stationary on the counter while you use it (doesn't walk around like other models seem to do). I have a snore guard sleep retainer, top and bottom and both of them fit in the tub so I can do both halves at the same time. If you are using this for upper and lower dentures you probably would need to clean them separately.

2. I've notice online that many of the so-called ultrasonic cleaners operated at ~5000 times a minute, this one runs at 18,000 times and it seems to do a much better job cleaning.

3. The unit feels solid. When I picked up the unit for the first time I was struck by the fact that the unit felt solid and not just a cheap motor mounted of center and shaking a plastic dish.

4. I didn't know when I ordered the unit that a power supply came with the unit, it indicated it took 3 AA batteries. It does take 3 AA batteries but like I said, it also comes with a power supply.

I've seen some cleaners that leave a lot to be desired just in the description, but this one is excellent. Fits two retainers at one time, works wonderfully on batteries (but has an included adapter which is a great bonus!) Cleans and destroys bacteria way better than I could ever do with a toothbrush scrubbing.

I was amazed at how clean my old retainers got in just one pass through the ultrasonic and UV cycle. Best money spent. Item did much more than I expected.

The Denture Cleaner With UV works very well. I use it for dentures. I drink a lot of coffee and it removed the stains the first time i used it.

We found the product to work as advertised, however we also advised the company that the cup should be larger. Their reply was that the cup was designed to hold only on denture at at time (as pictured). We found this to be highly inconvenient as the previous Ultra sonic cleaning unit was large enough to hold both upper and lower denture. This allowed the both dentures to soak overnight in the cleaning solution. We were pleased at the Ultra Violet light sterilization feature.

We were not able to find the exact brand and model that we had used before.

We also request that AMAZON publish a more detailed specification on each product being offered including the cup dimensions.

I purchased this after getting tired of changing out the batteries on my "portable" unit, which also vibrated all over the counter. The unit is very solid in its construction and absolutely stays put! Of course, I truly enjoy being able to simply plug it in, because changing out batteries gets old after awhile. I gave it FOUR stars ONLY because it is a little shallow. Not all mouths are "built" alike, and not all dentures are the same size. I try to compensate by filling the vault almost to the brim, hoping it does not spill into the mechanism. Honestly, if the company came out with a DEEPER unit, I would be FIRST in line to buy it! It really gets my dentures clean and "like new" too!
