I have severe arthritis in my neck, shoulders and back. This pillow cradles my shoulder and provides the perfect amount of support for my head. I will never be totally pain free, but this pillow did provide relief. Memory foam is too firm, so this pillow is a wonderful option for me. I realize that a pillow loftiness is a personal preference but this pillow is "just right"! The pillow fits perfectly in my queen allergy sufferer's pillow protector and queen size pillow case.
I wish it had a little more support but is better than having too much, like some I have found
