MAJOR improvement over my last mask. If you are having a headache, freezing the mask for a couple hours before bed will send you into a deep slumber in not time at all. I like the "heft" of this mask. At first I thought the weighted feeling of this mask would prove to be a nuisance, actually turned out to be quite the opposite. The "eye cups" are AWESOME and a definite must on any sleep mask that you choose to get.

Cons:

-Negligible amount of light will leak through around the nose. However, this small amount of light doesn't make a difference when my eyelids are CLOSED. An important part of the sleeping process :P

The elastic waistband is narrow and not as well thought at as the mask itself. I still feel like it "saws" on the tops of my ears while I sleep. I feel that if it was wider/covered in fleece, it would be make this mask a five-star, hands down.

PS this mask is comfortable, whether I am sleeping on my back or side.

I have been using the IMAK eye pillow for years and am sold on them completely. I wear one when I sleep, day or night, at home or on the road. I am not comfortable sleeping without one. I keep the ones I am not wearing in the freezer. The chill does not last very long, so, if I am having trouble falling asleep, I will often exchange the one I have been wearing for a fresh one from the freezer.

This mask is incredibly comfortable and does an outstanding job at blocking out the light. The indentations for your eyes are also incredibly nice; and the built-in ice pack is a relaxing feature.

I am a stomach sleeper so I immediately noticed that I couldn't use it for actually sleeping -much to my dismay. I held on to it, though, and use it when travelling and relaxing.

One major con is that the headband -and its plastic adjuster thing -are fairly cheap and flimsy. When I first donned the mask, the plastic thing came flying off. I lucked out (the strap is pretty much the exact size I needed) but others may not be so lucky.

Really like this mask, It is very comfy. We will be using it frozen for sinus headaches, etc. As a sleep mask it works for me too and feels great. My son says it feels good but his nose is larger than mine so too much light gets in at the bottom, unfortunately. I really think light gets in most masks at the bottom. They all need to put the little nose flap there, as some have, to help this problem. I ended up getting him the more expensive larger blue satin wrap-a-round type that covers the ears too. He says even with that one he gets some light through. I got the one with the nose flap and bubble for room for eyes. This one is very comfortable and would work great for smaller nose people. it is thicker than most as it has the little pellet things for comfort. Can't wait to use it next time I get sinus pressure, but not too soon!

UPDATE 11/7/10: My son had a horrible sinus headache. I reminded him this was in the freezer. He did not expect it to work but I did... and it did! He said it really helped a lot.
