I just bought these Marpac pillow speakers. So far, they seem to work pretty good. They are not super loud when plugged into my sound machine at its full volume, but do seem to work well overall. I would warn consumers that these pillow speakers do not go with the Marpac circular shaped Dual sound volume option white noise machines as there is no jack on these machines for them. Be sure if you buy any of Marpac's white noise sound machines that it states they have a headset jack on them before assuming this. They appeared, at the time to go together with the Marpac machines by sales pitches I have seen online. They do seem to work fine with other sound machines or units with a standard headphone jack. I also wish there was a way with these speakers to clip and keep them separated on two different sides of your pillow, mine fall out easily and I am thinking of using duct tape on them to keep them at night where I want them.
Bought for my kid they work as described. We love this as it allows one kid to hear the music without playing the music so loud a sibling gets disturbed.

All i wanted was a pair of small speakers to work with my various tablets and computers for nighttime.
These guys are muffled--low volume (lower than the tablet or laptop itself) and have awful sonics.
I am wishing I could return them--but got them at X-mas time--and it is too late. Big pile of suck here. Do not expect anything of value. If they are worse than the speakers on a tablet or laptop--imagine the cost of the units that come on a Kindle Fire HD. Their speakers can't be more than 33 cents on the wholesale/manufacturing market. Then try these? I'd do better by buying the HD and balancing it on my forehead with the speakers pointing at my face--than deal with these piece of drek.
They are an abomination.
