This product works extremely well. Before I found it, I would have terrible side effects from eating even small amounts of wheat. I would experience severe, immediate, gastrointestinal and skin problems. With this product I can eat large amounts of wheat products with zero side effects. In addition, it does not contain amylase which breaks down starches into glucose. I am diabetic and do not need the additional blood sugar.
I bought this product because I read an article where it would help digest gluten. Almost everything you buy in a conventional grocery store has some kind of gluten in it. I could not tolerate this product. It caused terrible abdominal cramps. That does not mean that it will not work for other people or cause cramps in other people. It just did not work for me.
