However, my highly inclined bed proved superior for a long term solution because I tended to slide off this wedge at night, and get acid. For plane travel, this wedge is too large (without paying extra luggage fees). For car travel, this would be fine. I use this currently on top of my inclined bed, when reading.I have had excellent experience with this product. I have one of them and have given 3 others as gifts. They are very heavy duty. Designed with multiple air chambers that allow for almost unlimited adjustment. When fully inflated they can be much more firm than one would ever expect from an air-filled product, however, the air pressure can be varied to the particular preference of the individual. I use mine as a backup for extra sleeping capacity for visiting family and friends and everyone who has used it just loves it. The ones I have given as gifts have been used for the same, as well as for camping. One of my friends has an acid reflux condition and has has told me that it works perfectly for his circumstance to allow him a more comfortable nights sleep. I have found this product to be an excellent value. This wedge works well but I wish it had a remote so I can lower the inclination after watching TV in bed. Right now I have to reach over and partly unscrew the valve and let the air leak out slowly through the loose valve.
I know this will raise the cost but I feel it would be well worth it.I inflated two of the chambers and quickly realized that this product was consuming too much of the bed. I deflated the wedge and returned it to the shipping box. I inquired about returning the unused wedge and the seller said that it was used and that he and Amazon's return policy was that no health product was returnable, even though I hadn't had a chance to use it. I think the seller is hard up and if you buy, you are stuck with it.!!!
