For many parents out there finding out your kid has night terrors is a harsh realization. My son at the age of 16 months had his first night terror and it was horrific. He then began having them about 1-2 times a week. We had tried everything from changing his pre bedtime activities, his eating habits, his diet to cut out all food coloring in products (Red 40, Yellow 5....) Nothing seemed to work well. My 4 year old has had major issues getting so sleep since we moved Feb 1. Pre-move she was in bed every night at 7:30, after the move it was 10-11pm, hours of fights, returning, begging, pleading and we have a seriously over tired child on our hands. I used Calms Forte 4 Kids about two dozen times in an attempt to help my 4 yr old son get to sleep. He has always had a very difficult time sleeping and will toss and turn and be unable to fall asleep, sometimes for several hours, so I decided to give these a try.

The first night they seemed to help. With just one dose he was asleep in about half an hour. The next day he was very cranky and irritable, though I did not initially attribute this to the pills.

The second night one dose did not work. I ended up giving him a second dose 45 minutes after the first dose. He eventually fell asleep about half an hour after the second dose. The second morning he was again very moody, cranky.

Beginning to suspect a relationship between morning mood and these pills I decided to take a couple of days off. During this time he was back to having more trouble sleeping but was less moody/cranky during the day.

We tried these pills again and again for about 24 nights total and finally came to the conclusion that the pills were, in fact, affecting his behavior the following morning. I threw them out.

Calms Forte 4 Kids may help some children for some short period of time. They may be helpful in reestablishing a broken sleep pattern.

For us, the side effect was not worth it.

Have tried this product for 4 days. Each morning my son has woken up more excited, irritable, and out of control with behaviors. He has slept a bit better,but the side effects out weigh the results.

Also found out that if your child is allergic to ragweed, they may start having a reaction to the chamomile. Chamomile grows near ragweed and can not be fully separated. I wish I knew this before taking this product.
