I am a nurse that works night shift and travels frequently. Between the two, I have a funky sleep schedule and sometimes go through periods of extreme insomnia.

Then, at the airport in Long Beach, CA I found Dream Water. I was a little shocked at the price but decided to try it anyway. Because it was expensive, I tried half a shot and it worked, well, like a dream. A whole shot makes me do weird things in my sleep, but a half shot makes me fall asleep and get a good 6-8 hours with no hangover effect even during my severe episodes of insomnia.

As a nurse, I would like to recommend that you be careful taking it every day. One of the ingredients (5-HTP) can cause serotonin syndrome in certain doses. Since we don't know the exact dose they use, I would look up serotonin syndrome and be on the look out for side effects if you take it regularly. Just in case. I haven't had any side effects, but better safe than sorry.

Also, be careful mixing it with certain other meds used to adjust mood (anxiety/depression meds) or other sleep aids even natural ones. Just a heads up.

This product is amazing. I tried both Dream water and nuero sleep and dream water worked all the time for me. no matter what, it would have me knocked out with-in a half hour.

I've had insomnia off and on for the past year +. I've been prescribed just about everything...including the main stuff like ambien. Ambien, unlike what the commercials promote, left me with horrible hangovers, terrible mood swings...and often times I would sleep walk/do things that I didn't even remember. I've also tried in store stuff like tylenol PM or sleep aids you can find in your local drugstore...really, nothing worked. Finally I discovered Dream Water from a random amazon search and found some at Duane Reade. It works (no pun intended) like a dream. I use 2 pillows to sleep on. I have always used a small travel pillow on top of the regular one. My biggest complaint was my head was always hot and would get sweaty. After purchasing the travel pillow, the first week without using a pillow case on it, I slept great; no hot or sweaty head and no waking up with a headache. I read the intructions where it said that we should use a COTTON pillowcase. I tried that for 3 weeks but did not have the relief I did the first week without the pillow case on. I guess I will continue without the pillow case and just have to wash it alot. Other than this issue the pillow does all the great things the commercial states it does. Maybe somewhere down the line they will make a pillowcase to help us HOT SLEEPERS out.

This is a nice pillow. For six bucks it is something that would be well received. But it is typical of the high-energy hucksters who get on the air and earnestly tout the "benefits" of something that has no more chance of solving the problems it claims to solve, and then legitimizing the product with a high price. The only way this pillow is worth a hundred bucks is if it came with four twenty dollar bills (and probably a ten also) stuffed into the pillow case. Nice try. The inventor wins the award for the best "sincere" presentation in the history of infomercials.

This is not your typical pillow. Its just different. When i got it i was surprised at the size of it. It seemed small. And the directions seemed weird. Put it in the dryer? Well, i did, and even though it seemed small, in use it is perfect. I had king size pillows and, because of its size, i just kind of figured i had made a mistake and before i even tried it i made the decision to return it. Well, it didn't turn out that way. It was GREAT. My wife kind of laughed at me, not believing a word i was saying. I had to leave for three days and when i returned, she told me that she was using my pillow. Definitely stays cooler than the surrounding air. Soaked up the water quick and plumped up thicker than I thought it would. Took a long time for material to be dry enough to use. Laid for 2 days on a folded over towel. Finally placed it on a paper bag to soak up the last bit of water. Mom doesn't really want to soak it again to plump it up b/c it took so long to dry. She only uses it when she's awake and won't put on bed b/c of the dampness.

I was very hesitant to buy these because I've read a lot of reviews in the other colors that said they were way too small to fit a king size pillow. So I wanted satin pillow cases to hopefully lessen the amount of knots I was getting in my hair so I ordered these. They were white, they were satin, and they were king-sized. Those were all the things I needed. Well, I received them and realized they are not in fact made for KING sized pillows. I compared these new pillow cases to the pillow cases that were previously on my pillows only to find out that these satin ones were about 3-4 inches shorter. That isn't to say that I couldn't have shoved by pillows in there and made it work, but I don't order pillowcases so that I can shove my pillow in them and make my pillow awkward and lumpy.

Calling these pillow cases "King-sized" is a complete misnomer. If you have really soft pillows that you like to bend up when you sleep with them, then I am sure these would be fine, but if you don't and you like your pillowcase to loosely fit over your pillow then DO NOT BUY this product.

I am taking these because of my insomnia and my doctor told me to try those. Although it helps me stay asleep for good 5-6 hours, it does take me a long time to go down. Sometimes over 2.5 hours before I am asleep (I do give a benefit of doubt that it may have to do with my before bedtime habit (like watching TV and reading and the fact that I really don't try to sleep until I am really sleepy). I'm so glad I found this product on amazon. The first time I came across this balm was at tjmax for like $10, didn't think much of it but the fact that it was made without all the harsh chemicals I decided to give it a try. After only few days I could see the change. My skin was smooth and tight. The lines under my eyes were so much less noticable. When my balm was all gone I was very disapointed that tjmax didin't have them no more. I was glad I found it on amazon.com. It is worth every penny and I will continue to use it for as long they cary this product.

I've been using this product for about 2-3 months now, and I love the effect that it gives my face when I wake up in the morning. My skin looks really plump and dewy! This product also helped with shrinking my pores and eliminated some redness on my cheeks. I bought this for around $23 at a nearby TJ Maxx just to try it out, too bad I didn't find it earlier on Amazon. Note that I have combination skin with lots of acne scars and redness on the cheeks. My skin tends to be very dry after I double cleanse, and this moisturizer helps with bringing back the moisture in my skin.

Skincare LdeL Cosmetics Retinol Night Cream, 1.7-Ounce Jar

I have used this "type" of cream for over twenty years. However, this particular brand of cream is the real deal! Hard to find great quality, such as this!

I ordered this looking for an alternative to my expensive 4% retinol Cosmedix Refine. This is a heavy cream with a strong smell which would be OK with me if it were 4% retinol at this price. Initially my skin looked nice and soft in the morning with no redness. Since I have used retinol for a long time, redness doesn't usually happen on my face but my neck will show irritation. So I didn't know if 1) my skin looked nice because of the plumping effect of a heavy cream and/or 2) there was no irritation because the cream was soothing. I thought I would try for a full month to see what happend. I received an inquiry after my review of COQ10, Hyaluronic Acid, Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline Cell Repair Concentrate Serum..Boost Collagen, Repair Cells, Tighten and Smooth Wrinkles so decided to do some research. I was very leary when I couldn't find anything about their company. Their website is strictly a selling site but it does have a "contact us" feature. So I sent an email asking if it was 400,000 IU in the 1.7 oz jar or 400,000 IU per gram (which is a 4% retinol solution). They responded quickly and said it was 400,000 IU in the jar. Which works out to something like a 2% retinol solution. Which isn't bad for a mild retinol solution but not when it is so smelly. For a mild product I would stick with Watts Beauty Retinol Face Cream 1.5% or 150,000 IU Per Oz / 2oz with Treatment Pump So I bit the bullet and order my usual 2 times stronger Cosmedix. Glad I didn't wait a full month. Lessonif it doesn't say 4%, 400,000 IU is meaningless.

I hesitated to purchase this because other reviewers didn't care for the smell. I have very sensitive skin, and allergies, as well as a dislike of scented products. But this smell didn't bother me; it's definitely there, but it's not overwhelmingly floral or chemical, just a typical lotion scent. I'm so glad I bought this! It's a thick moisturizing cream without being heavy. You can feel that it's on, but it's not greasy. Every other face lotion I've ever tried makes me break out--even those by Clearasil, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, etc. This didn't. After a few days I noticed my skin actually looked better! I highly recommend this face cream.

The night Retinol cream is a little heavier than I usually like but since I use it before bed it doesn't really matter so much. It does smooth the face and I have no skin problems using it. All of the Retinol products have been very good for me.

Over the past year, things such as benzyl peroxide and salicilic acid have not been clearing up my skin from breakouts (I am 22 and still have pretty bad acne). I used a correction moisturizer for awhile that came in an acne kit and noticed that did more than anything and its big claimed ingredient was retinol. I then decided to look for retinol lotions to help my skin. Please beware this deal is too good to be true, there is a reason the price is so good.

I have been taking Estroven nighttime successfully for 18 months (and highly recommend it), buying three packs from Amazon, but with this last order, the product ingredients had changed dramatically. The box images look the same, so I didn't pay attention to the minor changes to the front of box copy. Today, I was talking to my mom about her night sweats and telling her how well Estroven Nighttime works for me. When I got out the box to show her, I freaked out when I saw the long ingredient list had shrunken considerably. And it now contained soy and melatonin, not black cohosh and valerian.

Many people believe that these herbal supplements don't have side effects--that is an erroneous idea. Depending on your own consititution, you may experience side effects with this product. I had tried Estroven Maximum Strength and found it to work adequately (although not great) in reducing the intensity and frequency of hot flashes. So I thought I'd try Estroven Nighttime. I had never tried the other ingredients in it (melatonin being one), but thought it would be helpful, as my hot flashes intensify at night, and I sometimes have trouble sleeping. Well, a while after taking it, my heart started to race, I had a feeling of anxiety, and I was sleepless throughout the night--It gave me terrible insomnia! I would encourage you to try it--obviously it works great for many, many people--but if you find yourself tossing and turning all night after taking this, you may be one of the women who reacts poorly to the product. I would like to have known that this sleep mask is not soft or pliable and cannot mold to my face. It has cardboard inside and is stiff. The strap is also too long so the leftover Velcro gets stuck in my hair. Would not recommend.

I have an eye condition that forces me to wear a mask at night to control the environment of the eye area. While I do not use this mask for the purpose of blocking light, it does so very well.

There is a Velcro section on the back of the elastic strap that makes the tension of the strap adjustable, which is nice, but if you are a back sleeper and are sensitive, the little extra bulk of the hook and loop enclosure might bother you a bit.

The bit that touches your face is not the slick satin stuff that many masks are made of, but a cotton/polyester blend. It feels more poly than cotton to me. I think it is simply a matter of personal preference whether this is an improvement or not. I find it more comfortable in the winter when the ambient temperature is colder and I find the slick stuff preferable in the hot summer. The padding around the nose improves the mask's ability to block light. The mask is not as floppy as some masks, but I do find that it forms to the face just fine especially after a washing. I recommend you wash anything that touches your body before you wear it anyway and this can be tossed in the washing machine with your t-shirts or sheets or what-have-you. I usually hang mine to dry, but it has been through the dryer without any immediate effects.

I have purchased this mask twice. The elastic strap began separating from the side of the mask when the first was about 1.5 2 years old. Considering I use it every night and elastic straps are not known for their durability, I felt this was a reasonable wear pattern. I have had similar experiences with other masks, as well. If you are handy, you can simply purchase some elastic and replace the straps yourself without much trouble since the mask itself does not wear as quickly as the straps.

The ear plugs that come with this are the plain foam plugs you can purchase in packs. They are inconsequential to me as I simply wanted the mask. When I use earplugs, I prefer the Flents Contour plugs Flents Contour Ear Plugs Soft Comfort! 10 Pair. I find the contour plugs easier to insert, more comfortable in the ear, and they are effective for both sleeping and for use at the firing range (they have a higher level of protection than the standard orange plugs I picked up in the ammo aisle).

I have used several sleep masks from this company over the years. This one is very thin compared to the others though it seems to do a good enough job blocking light. My biggest complaint is the elastic strap to hold it in place is very narrow. There is also very little adjustment for the length. As the strap stretches it will soon become unusable. I will have to try to find the model I bought before.

While shopping at Ross, I noticed this unassuming bottle of youth. I'd heard good thinks about moisturizers from Europe, so I'd thought I'd give this one a try. I found Bio-Active Anti-Aging Cream (BAAAC) to be one of the best buys ever. Don't be fooled by the somewhat plain packaging on this "not well-recognized in America" line. This is CIA (Cosmetic Intelligence Agency) level info. Thank goodness you don't have to be an operative to enjoy its benefits. The cream is not greasy at all, but absorbs very well into your skin. I also tried using BAAAC on my arms, stretch marks, and the backside of my hands. I have had excellent results in all areas. The stretch marks are fading and feel better no dry, itchy skin. My hands are in water all the time, but using BAAAC at night has helped reduce the fine lines. As for my face, I didn't have alot of lines to start with, but I definitely feel the overall texture and elasticity has improved. I also have some dark spots which never left after my pregnancies. The spots are finally starting to fade (yippee!).

I've added this to my maintenance regiment as a best practice. BAAAC delivers on what many of the pricier creams only promise. Guys, you'll be happy to know that the cream does not have a heavy perfume scent so, go ahead and slather some on, too. Ladies, you might need to pick-up two jars one for you and another for your favorite man. Enjoy!

Diphenhydramine has other troubling side-effects that bear mentioning. The usual adult dosage is 25-50 mg, 3-4 times a day. Use the lowest effective dose to treat your symptoms. Pregnant women should avoid any antihistamines, as the medication has been known to cause birth defects.

While this is a great medication for allergies, there are better, newer antihistamines that do not produce the drowsiness that diphenhydramine does. (Check out Claritin as a better, but more costly substitute).
