Worked OK, to put me to sleep after about an hour and half, but only kept me asleep for about 3 hours. Each persons metabolism is

different so you probably have to try it to see how it works for you.

I work with a lot of people with sleep issues. If it's a mild issue difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, this is the first sleep formulation I recommend. It has worked well for several people I recommended it to a woman at my Kiwanis club who was 50 and has suffered for years with mild sleep issues. A couple of other clients. My 86 year old mom and now her 85 year old male neighbor.

Many people ask what's in it. One ingredient is melatonin which they'll say, I've tried, it doesn't work. But that's a small part of the formulation. There are a ton of sleep supplement/formulations. None will work for everyone. But this combo of magnesium, magnolia bark, and 5htp (plus a couple other things) is very solid. The combination appears to be far more effective than any one component.

Nothing works for everyone. This one is dose specific. It says to go up to 2 tablets, but you can go up to 4. I would recommend not taking it every night if you can help it, but that's true for all sleep remedies. You body will get too used to it.

Start 1 pill for 3 days. If that doesn't help, go up to 2 for 3 more days. For most people, 1 or 2 work, but some people will need to go higher (note there's only 30 pills in a bottle). If after 30 days it doesn't work, move on the next one. Go to a good health food store even CVS and Walgreens, have some pretty good sleep aids these days.

If one doesn't work, keep trying.. Don't assume the formulations are the same. Keep trying a natural forumla if you can before meds. Ambien and Xanax are not good long term sleep solutions, but you have to be creative to find other options. SleepCycle is a good formulation and another good option. Single supplements such as Melatonin, L-Tryptophan, Magnesium or a Magnesium/Calcium sleep blend can work. Formulations such as Hyland Calms Forte, Natural Factors Stress-Relax Tranquil Sleep, are good. Many others exist

However, SleepSolve is now my first recommendation to try. Give every supplement 30 days to really let you body adapt if you have enough patience. You can even try it while on sleep meds to see if you can learn to wean down on the sleep meds. It won't hurt all natural supplements.

I have been taking Benadryl as a sleep aid for some time. I thought I would try this product to give my body a break from it for a while. I took 2 of these Sleep Solves at 6 pm. At 8PM not a bit drowzy so I took 2 more. At 9 PM I was still wide awake so I took 25Mg Benadryl and was asleep in 30 minutes. I was really hoping for something that worked but this product does nothing at all. IMHO save your money. Be sure and eat well and exercise daily as well as get your "Head" in order. Doing this will help you a lot more than this useless product.

This did not work for me. Kept me up most of the night. I don't think the combination of 5htp and melatonin work together well with me. Like the other person said, everyone is different.

Marsona TSCI-330 Travel Sound Conditioner

The Marpac sound conditioners are, without question, the best. I've used various devices to achieve white noise. I can say with considerable experience that the Marpac ones are more durable and worth every penny. This version (the TSCi) has the distinct advantage of having a built-in voltage coverter which permits it to be used outside the US with only a plug adapter (the European adapter is included). Some years ago, my husband "fried" a previous white noise machine by plugging it in without the voltage adapter and I realized that it's a very handy feature. Likewise, the Marpac products last a lot longer than those made by other companies. We've had several from Sharper Image whose connections have broken out in no time. My husband has a mechanical machine which is >20 yrs. old; I've one which is >15 yrs. old. This smaller, electronic version, is perfect for travel (or home). We just returned from a week-long trip to Europe and it worked fabulously. My husband frequently travels to Africa where power outages are common and hotels are very noisy. He's looking forward to using it with the optional battery pack on his next trip.

I bought this for travel in Europe to use in place of my Marpac home unit. It is compact and works well on European current (with a small plug adapter). Drowned out street noises very well.

My husband really needs his white noise to sleep, and right now he uses an air filter fan that suffices. But now, he loves his Marsona. He's very sensitive to "patterns" in his white noise, and with the Marsona he was able to manually create the white noise by adjusting its dials. He travels a lot, and never can find good white noise, now it won't be a problem.

I travel a lot. One of the most significant trips I take is an annual visit to Tokyo for 2 months a year. The reviews written about the place I would be staying in Tokyo complained of thin walls. During a previous trip to Tokyo, construction workers were using a jackhammer at 2am in the morning just half a block from where I was sleeping. After years of consideration, I finally bought this sound machine. I was concerned that it would be big and not worth the weight to bring to Japan. I also couldn't tell if it came with a power supply or if I had to buy that separate. When the item finally arrives, I found it quite lightweight and not as big as I had expected. I would compare it to the size of a medium-sized wallet, but much less weight. There is no question that this noise machine was worth the money and worth its weight. I am a light sleeper and this machine blocks out a lot of odd noises that would otherwise keep me awake. I like the volume and sound options. The first noise option is a cross between a traditional noise machine by the same manufacturer and the sound of an ocean. The other noise option is a cross between a traditional noise machine and a waterfall. I prefer the ocean noise. The high volume setting is quite loud, and the low volume setting is quiet. A push-lever dial lets you choose any volume between these two extremes. Another lever allows you to add the sound of rain over the top of either the ocean or the waterfall. I haven't personally found this rain option necessary. The machine does come with a power cord that is not bulky. During the first two weeks of my trip to Tokyo, I had a roommate. I moved out to switch locations for a new job and took my noise machine with me. My previous roommate complained that now she couldn't sleep because of all the noise around the building. The machine is definitely a bit addictive, but also very effective. I am able to sleep with my window open in Tokyo and I hear very little noise. I intend to use this machine when I spend the night with friends or family, or when I have business trips within the US. I am a light packer, but this machine is plenty small and worth packing.

I wasn't sure if this unit would be loud enough to make any difference due to it's small size, but it puts out a good amount of noise. It doesn't "loop" either, like the cheaper imitations. I highly recommend this.

This strap idea certainly is a good one, but the material used stretches so it renders the contraption useless as I snored the night away. I strapped it as tight as I could and as soon as I relaxed, my jaw still was able to open up.

This is the second strap I have tried. The first one was only about 1 inch wide and had really only two contact points, my chin, and the crown of my head. It slid around thru the night. This style has 3 contact points, chin, velcro closure on the crown, and Velcro closure on the back of the neck. The width of the strap is very comfortable, I do not have lines on my face in the morning. It stays in place quite well, even as I drag and turn my head on the pillow. The things I don't like about it are the lack of aeration (it's very sweaty on the chin and back of the neck). , and unless I fasten it uncomfortably tight, I still open my mouth sometimes. If it could be made with a breathable kind of fabric, that would help with the sweating. I'm concerned about summer approaching. The material does not itch, and it is comfortable immediately after donning. I don't fuss with it at all, and fall asleep easily. I would recommend it to anyone who is not happy with their current system.
