Double Core Select Pillow Orthopedic Pillow - Core Item # 172
I tried the tempurpedic hated it because it squishes down to one inch from the heat. I tried the d-core pillow but I got pain in my neck it's just a strange design. I don't do well with memory foam pillows because of the heat, again, they tend to get flat and I actually need the support.
After trying about six different pillows over a period of two months, I gave this a try. It's fantastic. It doesn't flatten because it's not memory foam and the precision cut foam tubes can be changed. I started with the mid-firm one but had to change to the soft (the instructions do say to start with the softest one). No more tossing in bed, no more pain in the neck (literally).
This pillow is perfect especially because you can adjust the firmness by changing out the cores. I am absolutely delighted with it and so is my husband. He doesn't have to hear me complain that I can't sleep.
U P D A T E: I have been using this for almost 6 months now and I have to look for another pillow. I'm in between the 2nd and the 3rd cores. The 2nd is too soft and the 3rd is too hard. I am having a very hard time adjusting. No longer happy with pillow. Too bad, it worked wonders at the beginning.
My star rating has dropped to a 2.My husband and I suffer from stiff neck pain from time to time. We need good neck support while we sleep. We have tried alot of pillows over the years. Water, buckwheat, Tempura to name just a few. After reading the reviews on this pillow I felt comfortable in purchasing a couple of them for us. Mistake. These pillows are made out of VERY soft foam. Even with the choice of changeable inserts the pillow itself does not have support for your head. I only opened one pillow hoping to return the other which I did without any problems. I was very disappointed by the quality with the price I paid for this pillow.

I purchased this pillow and it arrived in about a week! To set the cores into the pillow was very easy. The cover that is supplied with the pillow is not very easy to put on however, the cover DOES hold tightly to the pillow which is great. As noted in the instructions, it seems to be best to start off with the softer cores and work up to the more firm ones. Once I switched over to the next level core, the first night I awoke twice to reposition. The second night I slept though the night and likewise since then. I have not upgraded the core and I have yet to have any neck aches.I use a CPAP machine and have arthritis in my spine (and neck) and this pillow is working very well for me. I am thrilled that I finally can sleep all night and have no neck pain in the morning. I had originally asked Customer Service if they had such a pillow, little did I know that there was one in the works!!! I am very, very pleased!!!

I've been unable to sleep well due to shoulder pain for over a year because of pinched nerves in my neck. I would only sleep for a short time before waking with terrible shoulder pain every night. I've had this MARVELOUS pillow for a little over a month and I sleep through the night every night! It's such a blessing. It takes a couple of weeks to get used to having such a different-feeling pillow, but I followed the directions on which core to start out with and the pain is gone. I changed cores after a couple of weeks for a bit more firmness. I love going to bed again. :-)Want Double Core Select Pillow Orthopedic Pillow - Core Item # 172 Discount?
I bought this pillow to alleviate my chronic neck pain after reading all the positive reviews. However, after using this pillow for a week, my little nagging neck pain turned into a major pain!! The foam rolls are a good idea except that the two firmest ones are too firm. They feel like rocks under your neck, and the soft one squishes down to nothing! The pillow is just cheap quality foam, and there's virtually no pillow in the middle, so your head ends up at an awkward angle! Also, the foam material that the pillow is made out of is very cheap quality compared to other memory foam or tempurpedic pillows! Very disappointing for the price!!Hearos Xtreme Protection Series Ear Plugs, 4 Count (Pack of 6)

As previously said, there is a lot of publicity attached to it. I mean, A LOT ! Like 25 pages of the products they sell. And you feel you have to go through every page to make sure there's not one page you will need if you are not satisfied and need to return the product, you know ?Otherwise, it's really a excellent product to help me sleep. I take one every night before going to bed and I can sleep quickly, and the whole night, and it's like I've had a 10-hours-sleep night.
Also it's a "Veg" thing, so you're sure there's not animal thing in it. Very important.

When going outside, this scooter is more stable than the wheel chair the senior has. Very easy to maneuver. Almost no learning curve. The make is sturdy and the battery lasts as long as the senior need. Going on bus need skills to back up it to the seat area, not always successful. It is better to put a cushion on the seat. I am reviewing it for a senior who is 96 years old. This is an inexpensive scooter other seniors may enjoy.Read Best Reviews of Phoenix 4 Wheel Compact Portable Travel Power Scooter Here

I've had the clock now for 5 months and decided to do an update. I still enjoy it even after the novelty of it has worn off and everything works for me fine. No issues, no breakage of any kind, haven't lost the remote and the aromatherapy still works. Cons for me are still the same as I mentioned below. One additional thing I do not like that some other individuals have mentioned is a beep. An annoyingly 1 second cold monotone beep. What was Oregon Scientific thinking when they decidied to kill this lovely clock by inserting that beep? I mean, seriously?
Okay, so mine isn't an issue so much as listening to the sounds before I go to sleep as I really don't care for sound at bedtime. However, I can see how the other reviewers could be perturbed at being awakened at the end of their relaxing 15 minutes with that beep. I'd be super annoyed as well, what would be the point of even listening to it? Mine is the fact that the damn beep goes off five minutes before my alarm comes on. Wait, what? Yes. Five minutes before I get to hear the lovely sound of birds chirping or water cascading I get awoken by a "Beeeeeeeeeeeep". I, at this point, am already awake by the time my soft alarm goes off. What's the point? I don't get it. It's obvious to me that Oregon Scientific just has a sick sense of humor and they win this round.
Even though I hate them and wish they'd burn at this point, I still like the clock and would still potentially purchase it again. However, not above 60-70 bucks.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This might be a bit of a longer review, so bear with me. I figured with as much deliberation as I put into purchasing this item, maybe it might help someone else out.
This item came up on Amazon's deal of the day on August 10, 2010. A lot of moolah for a glorified alarm clock, right?
As I was contemplating purchasing this device, I started to read some of the comments left on the deal of the day comment board. The majority, if not all, were negative in regards to this device. I started to get swayed by reading these and had basically talked myself out of purchasing it; after all, what idiot would spend $70 on an alarm clock on sale?
Obviously this one.
What made me purchase it? After doing every bit of research I could do on this product for information (let me tell you, there isn't enough out there) a few things made me think, maybe it isn't that bad. First, I watched the video done by Oregon Scientific located on the Amazon page itself. A little cheesy, but hey, the chick's accent is pretty soothing, I think they did that on purpose though. Secondly, I went to Walmart and checked out their alarm clocks/diffusers/multiple function devices (yep, in the same day just to verify prices), and they ranged anywhere from $10 for a cheap little digital one, up to $30-$60+ for ones with a little bit more technology (IE: AM/FM radio, cd player, iPod adapter, etc.). Still, none seemed as cool as this one did. I then researched online and saw people were paying $125+, depending on manufacturer, for sunrise clocks. Suddenly, I didn't feel so wasteful anymore (I was going to say, feel like an idiot anymore, but I didn't want to offend any sunrise clock purchasers; after all, you should get what you want). Of course, I hate light in the morning, so one of those just wouldn't do it for me.
Lastly, I found this review on youtube:
Review | Oregon Scientific Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser (you'll need to put this in the search area as Amazon doesn't like links)
At this point, I was hooked. I couldn't stop myself from clicking the purchase button, even if I wanted to. I wanted this little contraption and nothing but a sellout would prevent me from getting it (albeit a $99.99 price tag). I received it within two days of ordering it and like a little kid receiving a new package, was ever elated in opening it. Pulling it out, I thought, "Hey, this is pretty dang neat." No, I'm not really that dull, but this is after all an Amazon review, have to keep it clean, dontcha know. However, nor am I going to admit that I was jumping through my house holding an alarm clock while simultaneously swaying my arms back and forth in the air due to unbridled joy. Anyway, setting up was easy, I already had oil purchased previously that I could use, and voila... done. My new alarm with aroma therapy and light was ready to be used!
I cannot say that as of yet, that I regret this purchase in the least. To be honest, I really only got this alarm clock for its nature sound capabilities, which I read that Oregon Scientific has some of the best. I have chronic dry eye due to PRK surgery and often when ripping my eyes open in the morning in response to the out-of-nowhere loud buzzing alarm of my previous clock, I would tear my epithelium off and need to go to the doctors for a 3-day contact bandage. Fun fun. All the other extras, is just that, extras, but still perks in their own way. It is extremely soothing to listen to this before I go to sleep; it does help with that `wind down' phase. Also, I find that so far (granted it's only been 3 days) I do pleasantly lift my eyes open to the sound of music and birds chirping as opposed to the aforementioned ripping.
Minor drawbacks for me:
I am definitely a snooze hitter, not anymore though as this doesn't give you the option. I do find myself resetting it on the weekends though to get those 10-20-30-40-50 extra minutes that I truly want.
There are no buttons on this clock. Yes it looks clean, but as the youtube video shows, if you lose the remote, you are SOL (maybe OS will offer a replacement part for those of us that find ourselves losing... did I say losing?... I meant misplacing, things often). Because of this, I leave the remote out during the night when I'm sleeping next to the clock and promptly put it away when I wake up in the morning.
There are only 5 sounds. This isn't so much a drawback for me as I just really use it as an alarm, so 5 sounds versus only one annoying repetitive beep, is a step up for me. However, for those that want to listen to this on a constant basis, may become bored with it.
Don't use too much oil and then feel the need to smell the cool little waft of (what appears to be) smoke that comes from the top. I felt like I singed my nose hairs and my nostrils were on fire. They say use 1 2 drops. Yes, that is actually enough, no matter how much you feel it isn't, it is. Trust me.
Because I am so used to a buzz alarm, this one almost lures me back to sleep after it wakes me up. It's actually quite nice, minus the whole sleeping in part. My advice? Attempt to get up the first time. For the first two weeks, I am using a small backup alarm as a just in case, just until I get used to this one.
Other than that, it's new and fun. The light colors are pretty, the dim feature is decent (even though it's still too bright for me, refer previously to me hating light), I like the sounds and be honest; how many people can say that their alarm clock smells good? Plus, because of the lid, I don't tend to smell it while it just sits there and not in use. I'll be back in 3 weeks, then 3 months and lastly, for the 1 year updates. Just to let you know if it's still as good as I originally thought, if something broke, or if I go monster on it for whatever unforeseen circumstances. Hope this has helped!
P.S. I gave it a 4 rating because it is just an alarm clock, which in my opinion is still a high level review. I save the 5's for some kicka$$ items only.I think the product itself is very nice for someone like me who enjoys the sensory experience of nature sounds and aromatherapy. The unit looks nice and the remote control is easy to work. I really enjoy the aromatherapy in particular. Based on the product alone I would have given it a higher review.
There are two things that really bug me.
First, as another reviewer mentioned there is a mechanical beep that sounds at the end of a session when you set it to sleep mode. This is so jarring and seems totally at odds with the purpose of the machine.
Second, I had trouble getting the alarm function to work I see that it can be an alarm, but I couldn't figure out how to work it the manual was no help. I called customer service and they were stumped. Said they would call me back and did not. Received an email in response to my inquiry that said that the product was to go to sleep to, not to be an alarm. Huh? It says it has an alarm function on its own website!
My mechanically-inclined spouse figured out the alarm and I'll be happy to provide instructions in case anyone struggles like I did.

I fell in love with this clock, and we bought it almost two months ago, we use it every night for the aromatherapy and the cromotherapy, last night in the middle of the night I woke up and it had stopped working for no reason (as another user commented as well). I religiously followed the care instructions, and was careful not to leave the diffuser on too long. Now I am left (less than 47 days later) with an expensive broken alarm clock that I can either throw away or get only partial credit on. Seriously Amazon, for larger purchases (and given customer reviews) you really need to put a new policy in place regarding returns for this item, or set stricter guidelines for your dealings with the manufacturer. Very very displeased!Read Best Reviews of Oregon Scientific WS903G Aroma Diffuser and Sound Therapy Clock Here
I liked some things about it, but not enough to keep it. I bought this on a lightning deal for $60. It's definitely not worth more than that. Here is my take on this item:Pros:
1. The diffuser worked really well as far as diffusing the essential oil scents. (However, it kept automatically shutting off. More on this in Cons.)
2. I liked the "idea" of the lights, sounds, and diffuser.
3. The unit was well-constructed. I was happy with the appearance of it.
Cons:
1. The instructions in the "manual" were hard to follow and gave limited information. Once I figured everything out, I was fine. But it took some time to figure out how to operate it. There should have been more information given especially on the diffuser. Big thumbs down for the manual.
2. The sounds were okay, but became annoying. They were very short sound clips that just repeated over and over. There could be a definite improvement with the sounds.
3. I hated that you could only control all functions with the remote.
4. There is no snooze option with the alarm. I need a snooze.
5. The beep was really annoying as others have stated in their reviews.
6. The lights didn't do anything for me. Yeah, it looked cool, but I didn't plan on sitting there staring at the unit to see lights change color. I expected more.
7. The diffuser kept automatically shutting off. I didn't have it on the timer and couldn't find anything in the "manual" to explain why this kept happening. I tried to call the company and was on hold for 30 minutes. It was around Christmas when I tried to call, but it was still frustrating. I hung up before anyone even answered due to the long hold time.
Overall, there are just too many functions wrapped up into one with this unit and none of them were perfected. I am going to look for two different units; a quality diffuser that is only a diffuser and then a quality alarm clock with nature sounds. I can do without the lights.

I have always had issues with puffy bags under my eyes when I haven't had enough sleep or have consumed too much sodium. Most of the time, I have had success with the usual remedies cold water/ice cubes, eye massage, tea bags, and cucumbers. But they're all a time-consuming and sometimes messy PITA to do. And for the last several months, my bags have become progressively worse, even when I've had enough sleep and avoided salt I wake up with these huge balloons under my eyes it's horrible! The bags were so bad that I had little hope for this gel to work. The first time I used it, there was a noticeable difference, but the bags were not completely removed I think they were just too severe. But I could tell it was at least partially working. I then tried the suggestion (on the label) to put a generous amount on at night before going to bed, and reapply in the morning. The next morning, there was further improvement. After a week of doing the night/morning routine, as well as about 30 seconds of eye massage with my fingers, my bags are 90% gone. It is SO much more convenient and more pleasant than the other remedies! I am also happy with how long it is lasting, considering it is such a small container. I am way happy with this product and will be ordering it again.

Breathe Right Nasal Strips, Small/Medium
The strip attaches to your nose using a mild but effective adhesive, and two plastic "springs" want to straighten out, lifting the outside of the nose just enough to provide clear air passages.
Learning to install the strip to your best advantage can be a trial and error exercise. The instructions show one position to install the strip, but it isn't necessarily the best for each person. If your nose is long, the position shown might not lift at the best spot, making you think these won't work for you.
There are two lengths of strips, one marked "small/medium" and one marked "large". Most folks need the small/medium. If the strip comes down onto your face, use the smaller strip. The strips also come in a clear version and a "scratch and sniff" version with menthol. They now have a new "super" version that is much wider, covering more of the nose with 3 springs, that makes it much easier to place the strip effectively.
If you feel the outside of your nose, squeezing lightly, you will note there is a cartilage ridge that supports the center of your nose from top to bottom. There are also two projections of harder cartilage that support the sides of the nose up near your face. Most folks can't lift the hard cartilage away from the center ridge, but just below the hard side cartilage, there is soft flesh that the Breathe Right strip will easily lift. I find that I need to place the strip just below the hard cartilage to get the most effect from the strip.
I don't care what they look like when I wear them, and I have no intention to wake up to scratch the menthol to activate it, so I stick with the small/medium tan version.
Something you might notice is that when you first lay down, your nose will want to "close up" even when wearing the strip. This is because you get the blood that was "pooling" in your legs while standing to equalize into the rest of the body when you lay down, swelling the nasal membranes. Generally this effect will go away in a few minutes as your blood vessels and heart adjust. Raising the head of your bed 6 or 8 inches can also minimize this effect.
A con for these strips is that dry and cold weather will cause your skin to thin and get dry. When this happens you must be very careful when you remove the strip in the morning. Removing it in a hot shower with soap usually eases removal. If you are not careful, you will remove a small area of the epidermis on the top of your nose, and possibly on your cheek if the strip is too long. A tiny amount of lotion (apply with a Q-tip) on the top of your nose before installing the strip will prevent the problem.
This leads into one more item, cleaning your nose before installing the strip. Folks are different, but many folks have oily or waxy skin on the sides of their nose. Excessive oil, wax, lotion, etc. will prevent the strip from sticking properly. Wash and dry your face before installing the strip. If your nose is still too oily or waxy, and this happens certain times of the year, use a little alcohol or Sea Breeze to wipe only the sides of your nose before installation.
Amazingly, the strip will generally keep sticking even if you exercise and sweat a lot, but it does make it easier to remove the strip, so if you exercise first thing in the morning, keep the strip on until after you finish your exercise regimen.
So what about snoring? If you are a nose-breather, using Breathe Right nasal Strips will reduce how much you open your mouth to breathe, and that will reduce snoring. It will also prevent the vibration in your nose that causes some snoring. It will not reduce the snoring that emanates from your throat when your tongue falls and the sides of your throat vibrate when you breathe through your mouth. Breathe Right has made two products that help with throat snoring. One is Breathe Right Throat Spray and the other is Breathe Right Throat Strips. The spray has been remarkably effective for me, while the strips, if placed far enough back on the tongue (hard for me to do) are also quite effective. What the spray does is coat your throat with some pleasant oils that lubricate the flesh and keep it taught. Most amazing is that it has eliminated my sore throats. Unfortunately, Breathe Right has been bought by a large company and it appears that they are only going to continue making the strips. C'est la vie.
Oh, and buying this product on the Amazon subscription plan is smart and easy!
Buy Breathe Right Nasal Strips, Small/Medium Now
Breathe Right nasal strips are the most effective way of increasing the flow of air into and out of the nasal passages during sleep. When you adhere the strip to the outside of your nose, the strip springs open and provides more space for air to flow during inhalation and exhalation through the nostrils. The strips come in Tan and Clear and in sizes Small/Medium and Large. I like the Tan because they stay on the nose all night as opposed to the Clear which are less adhesive and more prone to falling off. Most people will use the Small/Medium size unless your nose is large. When applying the strip, only remove the backing so that the outside ends of the strip are adhesive (leave the middle part covering the bridge of the nose unadhesive). To remove the stickiness in the morning, take a 2" x 2" piece of non-sterile gauze moistened with a little water and gently rub off [you can buy 200 pieces of non-sterile gauze in a pharmacy or hospital supply store for $3].Read Best Reviews of Breathe Right Nasal Strips, Small/Medium Here
No problem with supplier. Excellent service. I've used the strips many times in the past and they were perfect. They still are, however, the adhesive is now TOO good. I have a really difficult time getting the strips off my nose, even with water and soap. I've had to stop using them because my nose get so sore, even on the inside. Naturally I want them to stick good but this is rediculous.Want Breathe Right Nasal Strips, Small/Medium Discount?
I remember seeing these many years ago and thinking, "now that's just silly". I was so wrong; these strips are great.I can't take decongestants so my allergies would keep me up all night trying to get air through. While the strips can't do anything about your sinuses they do flair your nostrils just enough to make a big difference. I use them often and get a much better night's rest.
By the way, they're not just for sleep. The clear ones are great for daytime use.

For whatever reason any other time of the month I can take this product and achieve the sleep of the dead, so-to-speak, waking at about 5AM for whatever reason. This headgear is very comfortable and form fitting and does not require adjustment after first fitting. The straps are made of a stretch fabric which also line the frame. The straps are long enough to grasp and pull for a good fit. The downside is they do not have a Velcro closure to keep them from flopping around. I snipped mine to a shorter length and that solved the problem. I have used this headgear for 2 years now without problem, but I have noticed that as the straps loose their stiffness they will loosen up a bit. When this began to happen I realized that I had been pulling the mask too tight all the while. It does not require a tight fit to seal like the all the other types do. Now that I allow it to fit loose I like it even more. Another plus is that the mask snaps are robust and do not wear out or break easily.Read Best Reviews of ResMed Headgear for Mirage Vista Nasal Mask, 60918 Here

Aveeno Baby Diaper Rash Cream, Fragrance Free, 3.7-Ounce Tube
The zinc oxide in this product is not derived from cod liver oil and therefore leaves no residue and no odor in our diapers. I love the fact that I can pronounce all the ingredients and that there are no chemicals leaching into my daughter's skin. She doesn't get diaper rash often, but when she does it's terrible. This stuff clears it right up, while Desitin, A&D and even Boudreaux's Butt Paste never did. We cloth diaper and tried this cream out to combat a bad rash my daughter broke out with after eating citrus fruits. It sticks to the skin well and went on easy, I like that it's in a tube. However after a couple weeks of using this our pocket diapers repelled! It was a huge chore trying to strip them so I advice anyone who uses pocket diapers to stay far away.

I've been using the Aveeno Baby Diaper Rash Cream for several months now, and I love it! With my first baby I used the Burt's Bees Diaper Cream which I really liked. But at 9 bucks a pop it's kindof pricey. Anyhow, when I had my son I received the Aveeno cream as part of a gift and I fell in love with it! It's really smooth and creamy, thick, but spreads very easily. Almost like silk! It also works really well. I apply the cream with most diaper changes and my son never gets a diaper rash. Plus at $5.99 per tube, it's much more affordable than the Burt's Bees (and I actually like the Aveeno much better). The 3 pack from Amazon at just over $12 is a great price! I definitely recommend this product.Read Best Reviews of Aveeno Baby Diaper Rash Cream, Fragrance Free, 3.7-Ounce Tube Here
I immediately stopped using this product when I learned the inactive ingredients included paraben. Parabens display estrogenic activity and are potentially cancer-causing. To be safe, I've switched my baby to Weleda diaper cream. I love the calendula, and it's organic.Want Aveeno Baby Diaper Rash Cream, Fragrance Free, 3.7-Ounce Tube Discount?
After our son developed diaper rash, we tried this cream and frequent changes, but could never get his rash to go completely away. We switched to Desitin Maximum Strength (40% Zinc Oxide vs. Aveeno's 13%) to see if that would help. The Desitin Maximum is thicker and stays put better than the Aveeno. After only a few days, the rash went away. The Aveeno cream doesn't seem to stick to our baby's bottom well enough to provide a good barrier.
