Mack's Snore Blockers are great if sleeping with someone who has a light-to-moderate snore, and will reduce up to 32db, much more than the drugstore bought, average, foam-styled ear plugs. Snore Blockers are soft, made with silicone, I believe, and thus, uber-gentle and are auto-pliable in your ears. Truthfully, the Snore Blockers do a good job of keeping noise out, in general. However, if you have someone with heavy, loud snoring, Snore Blockers cannot mask or do much for you. Bottom line is that you'll need to bend a soft pillow around your ears after you put the Snore Blockers in or find other solutions. One thing, though, is that either the Snore Blockers appear to automatically "pop out" during my sleep or is it that I am, during sleep, removing them? Could it be a snore gnome removes them? Just kidding... Final word? Snore Blockers are closer to reducing snoring noise, moreso than the other Mack and other earplugs I've tried thus far.

I am a very light sleeper. A lot of sounds wake me up. Before using these earplugs I'd get up 4+ times a night, mostly due to my husbands bear-like snoring. It took me a while to figure out how to get these in right. If you don't get them in far enough you might as well not wear them at all! I roll them between my fingers to make a very skinny tube and stick it in my ear canal as far as I can comfortably (like really in there where the q-tips go!) and it blocks out a lot of sound. I can still have a conversation if needed, but my husband's snoring is greatly reduced (to the point I can mostly ignore it and fall back asleep) and I get a MUCH better nights sleep! The only real problem I have with these is you only get a few nights of good use out of them. Yes, they are disposable, but after 3 or 4 uses they don't crush down as far and it seems like they don't block as much sound as when they are new.

I use ear plugs while mowing the lawn, riding on airplanes, to endure loud movies in theaters, and so forth. While I also use them while sleeping, I didn't select Snore Blockers with that purpose primarily in mind. To my amazement, however, they did the worst job of any ear plugs I've ever used in attenuating the sound of my wife's occasional, gentle snoring!

After discovering this, I compared them against Hearos Ultimate Softness plugs while seated in a chair across the room from my sleeping wife. The Snore Blockers yielded only a slight reduction in the snoring sound level while the Hearos virtually eliminated it.

Although these two models of ear plugs both claim a NNR of 32 dB, the provided octave band sound attenuation data show the Hearos to be more effective than the Snore Blockers in every octave band and with a smaller Standard Deviation in 7 of 9 octave bands. While it's therefore no wonder that the Hearos are more effective, it is curious that Snore Blockers claim the same NRR rating.

The Snore Blockers seem to do well enough in less critical applications such as lawn mowing, so I've banished them to the garage while the Hearos Ultimate Softness plugs took their place in my nightstand.

I bought these ear plugs because they specifically said they were for blocking snoring. My husband snores very loud. These ear plugs did not block out the snoring and I don't think they are any better than any other ear plugs. I would not buy them again.

Therapeutica Sleeping Pillow

Ten years ago I fractured 2 vertebrae in my neck/back (C7/T1). I'd never needed a special pillow previously so I struggled with "normal" pillows for 1.5 years. Then a new chiropractor turned me onto the Therapeutica pillow. It took a week or two to adjust to it but I've never looked back. All it takes is 3-4 days away from home on a "normal" pillow to remind me what an extraordinary difference this pillow makes to my neck. Without it, I wake up with neck & back pain, muscle strain, and head aches. The additional cervical/upper thoracic spine support makes all the difference in the world. I couldn't live without this pillow!! For those of you having difficulty with the side lying position, pull the pillow down snug against your shoulder when you roll on your side this fully supports my entire cervical spine and I sleep like a baby :).

I finally got this pillow after a friend of mine told me she swore by it. I found that the first two weeks were painful while my neck muscles relearned how to be relaxed while sleeping. I recommend giving this pillow at least two weeks for your neck to adjust. I'm a massage therapist and I suggest this pillow to my clients. I have noticed that the firmness of your bed also effects the usefulness of this pillow. I had a fairly firm bed and loved this pillow then I got a softer bed and the pillow didn't work. And perhaps the only perfect pillow is one you can mold to your own specific requirements, but I thought this was the next best thing. The truth is that if it were returnable I would've returned it... but since it wasn't I went ahead and made my own adjustments to it.

Pros:

1-vents that allow airflow and keep your head and face from getting too warm.

2-The sides of the pillow are the perfect part as far as I'm concerned. They make side sleeping comfortable and super easy. Just roll over to the side and you have a pillow high enough for side sleeping. The measurement you take mostly applies to the side panels..which is probably why this aspect of the pillow has the least complaints.

3-For most parts the foam is soft enough to be comfortable yet firm enough to keep your head from sinking too close to the mattress (as my previous tempurpedic pillow did).

4breathable & soft pillow cover.

Cons:

1The neck contour is as firm as the rest of the pillow. I felt it pushing against my neck and the soft goodies inside my neck & throat (whatever they are) were getting squished.

The human head weighs almost ten pounds and this is why a certain amount of firmness is good to keep the weight of the head from flatening the pillow down. But unlike the bony, heavy headthe neck is both both soft and virtually weightless. So the neck doesn't need that same amount of firmess. A much softer foam for that area would've been more comfortable while still being supportive. I brought the pillow to my doctor to show him and he agreed the neck cradle was pushing on my neck too much and it was throwing my head a bit too back. So be aware that different people will have different needs there. It seems that the measurement you take only applies to the size you need for the SIDE panels of the pillow and there's no way to measure what the person needs in the back of the head while back sleeping. I decided to copy the reviewers who mentioned they cut out the foam where neck support is. I went one step further and replaced it with a smaller foam cut out from my old much softer foam pillow and sewed that piece to this pillow. Ahhhhh. Now it's perfect. No more feeling my throat getting squished and pushed around.

2The center cavity is a bit limiting. Which is a pro if you've had surgery and want to keep your head from moving, but otherwise it can be a bit restricting. The back of your head has to be on the deepest point of the cavityIf I want to move the pillow even just a tiny bit higher or lower I can't because it'll throw my head out of alignment. Unlike softer foam pillows this doesn't really conform to the shape of your head so much...rather your head has to conform to it's properties. It might have been nice if the center cavity had the best of both worlds: A firm foam base at the bottom to keep the head from sinking down too far towards the mattress and then a softer foam on top that sinks down and conforms to the head whenever you'd like to move the pillow a bit might've been the ticket.

Conclusion: This may work for some and not for others. I would suggest sleeping on it for a few days with the plastic covering still on and a pillow cover over it so that you can return it if it doesn't suit your needs.

It's a very nice pillow. I bought it and the first night I had the WORST night's sleep I ever had. But the next was better and so on. Getting the right size is important as I gave the large to my wife and at 6'-1" I bought the x-large. Everyonce in a while I sleep on it incorrectly and am a little sore. But for the most part, its a great pillow that you get used to sleeping on it in a particular way. I just have to figure out what to do with our old pillows. Of course it would be nice to have a nicer cover, but I'll make due.

I ordered this pillow on the recommendation of my chiropractor (and yes, my chiropractor measured me). For the first 1.5 weeks, it was painful to sleep on, but I kept at it. For the next 1.5 weeks, I loved it and I noticed a huge improvement in my posture. Now, I agree that the product must be sent in to be inspected, however, the need for a machine to confirm my own experience with pain? Not to mention the fact that one can physically FEEL the pillow on all its sides and SEE that the foam has obviously broken down in the area that juts up against one's shoulder. (Yes, I followed their directions on how to sleep on the pillow to a T, in order to sleep on it correctly.) I don't know about any of you, but this is THE MOST HASSLE and WORST COMMUNICATION I have ever had with a company and their product guarantee. BUYER BEWARE!

Sidenote: before purchasing this pillow, I had requested advice from the company re: the differences between the full sized pillow and the travel sized pillow. Wendy, had informed me at that time that the travel sized pillow offered the same exact support as the full sized pillow and that for my needs, the travel sized pillow "was perfect". Once the pillow broke down, however, she changed her comments and stated that the company had not received many comments re: the travel pillow and that it was a TRAVEL pillow and not meant to be slept on every night. I, for one, have never heard that about any kind of pillow. Perhaps the company thinks that we should have revolving pillows that we purchase from them?

I bought this pillow because I am pregnant and need to sleep on an incline to get comfortable. I sleep a lot better with it, but because the incline is so steep, I often slide down the pillow as the night progresses, and I wake up with my head near the bottom of the pillow. I would have preferred one that had more grip or ridges, to prevent me from sliding. I do like the level of incline I am in, and plan to continue to use the pillow post-pregnancy.

I have slept on 2 regular pillows for some time and thought this would be a better solution to my sinus and acid reflux problems. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. I am 41 now, 6 foot was 235 lbs with BMI around 31. I tried numerous pillows. C-Pap and Bi-pap which i could not tolerate (felt like i was being smothered), tried ambien, lunesta, snoring strips, other pillows, dental guard, and was about to plunge into the UUUV surgery and maybe more which only has a 40% success rate.

My Apnea is/was bad = 240 instances per 7 hours of sleep of where I stopped breathing for an average of 21 seconds. If you don't treat it, your blood pressure rises, leptin hormones increase, REM goes down to nothing, your constantly tired and you run the risk of stroke/heart attack. On top of it your oxygen saturation can drop to 88-93% which is like trying to breath on the top of mount everest. You go through the day with a headache or migraine (shows up on a MRI of brain) and its probably killing brain cells. Try holding your breath for 21 seconds every minute for 7 hours during the waking day...if you know the pain and have read this far you know what i mean.

Before I got this pillow i was snoring so loudly that I had to sleep in another room from my wife and she could still hear me. I even recorded my snoring on my iphone record app and sure enough it sounded LOUD and terrible. This went on for 6 months until I stumbled upon this pillow. I got used to the ramp pillow instantly and add a pillow to it when i sleep (no problem on back or side). My snoring and apnea stopped THAT NIGHT. I have only snored twice in the last 4-5 months because I was sick with strep and once because my head fell off the pillow.

I have dropped 10 lbs due to the re balancing of hormones. When i travel now (rarely) I buy this pillow and have it send to where i will be. Thats how much this $30 pillow is worth it for me. I just pray it doesn't stop working. I think it works because it keeps your neck in a position where the weight of your neck doesn't collapse your windpipe. I love this splint. I had Plantar Fasciitis in my left foot only. I read about all the treatments and had no desire to take meds or have surgery. I prefer to try the least invasive solution first. A friend let me borrow hers to try (she had only used it a couple times) and I had relief after the first night. My planters fasciitis had been excrutiating. Not much to say. Great product and does what it says. These are the most comfortable ear plugs I've came across for extended wear, and believe me, I've tried just about every brand. They expand nicely once in the ear to provide great protection, but don't protrude out too far, so most people can't even tell you are wearing ear plugs.

I originally found these at a local pharmacy and was wearing them for 6-8hrs per night when I was working as a bouncer in a popular night club in a major metropolitan area. I've continued to wear these for activities that require ear plugs: everything from mowing grass to target shooting.

Latex-free earplugs aren't easy to find. These are fantastic though! They are a little harder than regular earplugs, but if you warm them in your pocket and roll them between your fingers they work just as well as the latex versions. Price wise, they might be slightly more expensive, but buying the 4-pack makes it completely worth it. I use them for shows at bars and house shows and they do a great job of allowing you to still hear the music, without doing damage to your eardrums. Definitely would recommend for anyone with a latex allergy. My non-latex-allergic friends have used a couple of pairs and they seem to like them better as well!!!

I have been wanting to try this product out for YEARS. My friend from High School used this stuff and her hair was gorgeous, thick, long and shiny. I read that some people said this stuff stinks.. Yes, it kind of does stink but the smell goes away after you wash it out. After reading about how "bad" it stinks I could never find anyone to describe what it smelled like.. Well.. It smells A LOT like the original Pine Sol floor cleaner. It smells a bit funky to be putting in your hair but I would say it is totally worth it. Anyways. To apply, I put a generous amount (2-3 tablespoons) in my hands, using a tablespoon at a time, and worked it through the middle of my hair to the tips and whatever else I had on my hands I would lightly apply to the top of my hair but not getting it on my roots or on my scalp. Then I put my hair up in a towel for an hour. An hour passed and I washed my hair with shampoo and I used conditioner only on the tips and middle of my hair (my hair routine). I dried my hair and it was incredibly soft and looked amazingly shiny. The only bad thing I can say about this product is that it stinks and that it left some of my hair a bit oily on top of my hair but I think it was my mistake for putting it close to my roots. Overall, I really like this product. Also, keep in mind that just because this product made my hair shiny and silky smooth it doesn't always mean that everyone else will get the same results.

Pantene Pro-V Overnight Miracle Repair Serum 4.9 Fl Oz

This product is exactly as the name says: a miracle. I have been desperate for a long time for something to breathe life back into my thin, burnt hair. I am a hair straightener addict and my hair, though naturally very greasy (I HAVE to wash every day), has been dry due to styling and recent weather. I found this bottle on the shelf at my grocery store and picked it up, thinking for the price it was worth a try.

I did as the directions said and used a single pump to cover the ends of my hair. I'm not the biggest fan of Pantene products. Used to love their Sheer Volume shampoo, conditioner, and aerosol spray (until they changed the formula years ago) and except for their Aqua Light shampoo and conditioner, I don't care for too many other of their products. I saw this advertised on a commercial and being a sucker for ads and new products, I decided to pick some up. It was around $7 at my local drugstore.

I have baby fine "see through" blonde hair that has been abused by years of coloring, bleached highlights, and using some sort of heat appliance EVERYDAY (I have strange hair that is somewhere between straight and wavy and is frizzy and looks like garbage if I don't use something on it; air drying is not an option). Because my hair is so thin, it breaks and splits if you look at it wrong. Now, there is NOTHING you can do to repair damage. Once it's broken and frayed, you're stuck with it unless/until you chop it off. But, you can disguise the damage and help make it look better at least. That's what this stuff does. Despite it being called a serum, it's not some nasty, oily stuff. It's a gel-like cream that disappears. Once again, because my hair is thin, it gets weighed down by pretty much everything and even Moroccan Oil which isn't supposed to be greasy and heavy makes it look greasy, but this stuff doesn't AT ALL. It helps my hair not be a frizzy mess when it dries and makes it smooth and less damaged LOOKING in the morning. I use it as a leave in conditioner even if i'm not going to bed. It doesn't say whether to use it on damp or dry hair, but i've found you can use it on both and still get good results. I also love the smell, but those sensitive to scent may think it's a little strong. The smell of Pantene's products has always been one thing I have liked. I say give it a try. Not sure how this would work on thicker hair but if you have overprocessed, thin, frizzy hair like mine, I think you'll like it.

I'm usually not one to write a review unless the product was really really good, or really really bad, in this case it almost seemed too good to be true. After seeing this serum on the 'Top Products' list in 2 different magazines and the great reviews on Amazon I decided that I had to try it. I went to 4 different CVS's looking for it but apprently they don't carry it yet (even though they have signs for it in the hair product isle?!) but I was able to find it at Walgreens & it was on sale! I have extremelyyy baby fine, thin hair and could definitely use a hair cut. I put the recommended 1-2 pumps on the ends of my hair and worked it up towards the roots. When I woke up my hair was silky smooth and not at all greasy as I would usually expect from a serum. Obviously there's no miracle product that will magically cure split ends, you have to cut them off, but this product leaves your hair looking great in the meantime. I would absolutely recommend it!

I have very brittle hair that gets split ends so easily, and for years I have been dreaming about being able to grow my hair out. I would give it a couple month and then be forced to cut it because the ends would be a mess. I found this product and decided to give it a shot, boy was I amazed! I just got this yesterday. I am 54 years old and I have gradually been getting more and more fatigued to the point where this year, it was a chore just to get out of bed. When I did, I spent most of the day lying on the couch. My legs were extremely fatigued just getting up and walking to the kitchen or bathroom. I tried all kinds of vitamins including B12, a B complex and D3. Nothing seemed to help. Went to the dr. and had blood tests done for thyroid, liver and kidney function and several other things. The results couldn't have been more NORMAL, yet, I was still feeling this chronic and debilitating fatigue!

What can I say? My Grandma and Grandpa took Geritol tonic, and later when I was an exhausted single parent in college, I started taking it. That was about 30 years ago. Nothing beats a good 'ol tonic. I've read on some sites that folks think it tastes awful but I don't agree. (Perhaps I'm comparing it to the taste of some of the chinese herbal tonics my doctor has put together for me. After tasting those brews, nothing else can be catagorized as tasting "awful".) But even if you don't like Geritol's taste, it works great and does the trick. Orrrr, you can try the iron alternative...a nice hunk of yummy calf's liver. Heck, if something can help you through this life, go for it...even chinese herbal brews. ;) I notice the difference when I take Geritol tonic and am glad that Amazon carries it. Since moving to NC I have not been able to find Geritol in liquid form and I just don't feel the benefit with Geritol pills. Bottoms up!

I am a vegetarian and anemic. I have tried EVERYTHING to boost my iron levels, from prescribed iron pills to slow fe release iron tabs, to iron water (THE worst). I tried Geritol and thought the taste was going to do me in the first time I tried it. After about 3 doses, I started to literally crave the taste. It is warm and sort of metallic but definitely doable. Stay away from the iron water pouches. Tastes like blood and hard on the stomach. I experienced no side effects with Geritol like with others. Recommend!

Tempur-Pedic Sleep Mask

This item is well worth the extra cost, as it will be the last mask you'll ever need to purchase for yourself. I went through three masks prior to this one. Each one had a benefit, but this one combined all of them. The most import selling points for me were hollow eye areas (for comfort and REM), complete light blocking (provided total darkness), comfort (very good strap that does not hurt the ears by having a high enough placement. Also, soft material), and durability (the lining is quality and there are no edges that could fray over time). Another important aspect is the nose placement. I have a fairly large nose. Past masks tried to cover it, allowing much light through. This mask conforms around your nose bridge and places padding directly under your eyes which causes absolutely no light to get through. It seriously looks like some R&D went into this design. I use it in my car to take a midday nap. I highly recommend getting a microfiber bead neck pillow as well if you are using this for the car or air/bus/train travel (the mushier ones, not the rigid uncomfortable type, or the blow up kind). The combination will put you to sleep incredibly fast. I used to fly weekly, this would have been great. My only concern, which is completely minor is that it may feel too warm on the face if its really hot out.

This is the most comfortable eye mask I've tried that blocked out 100% of light regardless of sleeping position (ie, face pressed half in the pillow didn't open any gaps around your nose or cheek bones). It's also good to know that the cavity left for your eyes is pretty deep. This has been a big deal to me since my eye lashes are kinda long and tend to brush things in front of my eyes (for instance, most sunglasses won't work for me). I know your eyes should be closed under there and it shouldn't be an issue... but while trying to fall asleep, you'll blink now and again and it will drive you batty if you keep hitting something.

Caveats:

1. Given that it isn't custom fit, or even sized, it may not be as effective or comfortable for everyone.

2. It picks up oil from your face easily and may lead to blemishes if you don't wash it once in a while (as often as your sheets)

3. You look even sillier than usual in this mask. It's lumpy and brings to mind late night QVC shopping your grandmother might do.

4. It's pricier than similar options so, if you can stand a little light leak, you might want something cheaper.

5. It's bulkier than similar options so pressing your face into your pillow isn't a good idea while wearing it.

I work rotating 12-hour shifts, so I frequently have to sleep when it's light out. I've tried blackout curtains, and never really got the needed level of darkness for best sleep I'd always stay in the "upper stages" of sleep, and wasn't getting the rest I needed. Obviously, I needed a sleep mask. I purchased one of these several years ago, after going through a few of the cheaper flat-style masks which really didn't help me much (at least they were cheap!) IIRC, I got it at Brookstone's, in my local mall, but I don't think they sell them there anymore. Wow what a difference. The contouring of this mask holds the material away from your eyes, as well as helping to seal it against your face to block out the light, it's nice and soft, and it doesn't build up excessive heat levels (important for me my wife calls me a "polar bear"), so it's VERY comfortable. Yes, it's more expensive than the other brands but it's worth it, IMO. After perhaps 5 years (!) of regular use and washing, the velcro's finally come loose I've tacked it back in place, but am looking to get a new mask to replace this one (so I can attach a new elastic/velcro strap and make the old one a spare makes sense to have a spare anyways, for when one mask is in the wash), and I have NO qualms about spending the money for another of these. It's THAT GOOD.

I've tried other visco-foam masks, even, and don't think the design is as good as this one's is. If one of the other brands work well for you, great I'll keep buying this brand, because it works the best for me. It might for you, too.

I have used my Tempurpedic eye shades for several years. This will be my third purchase because I left one on the plane and the other in a hotel room in Austria. They block all light and are cool because Tempurpedic material draws heat away from the surface. I don't travel without them. I am surprised by the Amazon price on this one so I'll have to purchase directly from Tempurpedic.
