I love this splint. I had Plantar Fasciitis in my left foot only. I read about all the treatments and had no desire to take meds or have surgery. I prefer to try the least invasive solution first. I bought this splint, wore if for two or three days one week, and a day or two the next week and my pain was gone. This one is hard to find now it used to be in Dr. Leonard's catalog. It stops at the ankle, no need to bind the calf, as the longer ones do. I have not had any pain in my foot at all, ever after, and highly recommend this product.

Pros:

It does relieve my plantar faciitis pain, more in the morning and then comes back later in the day. It is easy to sleep with it on. It is very warm, if you have cold feet you'll love it

Cons: Even though it's adjustable, it hurts the tip of my toes during the middle of the night sometimes, I have wider feet at the toes. . My feet sweat with it, but it's worth it for the relief it gives.

I bought this because I have plantar fasciitis. I have a boot prescribed by my podiatrist, but didn't want to pack this in my suitcase when traveling. Unfortunately, this night splint is so soft that it doesn't really hold the foot in the position required to keep the foot at a 90 degree angle to the leg to keep the ligament stretched.

A friend let me borrow hers to try (she had only used it a couple times) and I had relief after the first night. My planters fasciitis had been excrutiating. After one use I woke up and could walk normally for the first time in several months. I continued to wear it however for about 7-8 weeks almost every night. It really helped. My planters is practically gone. If I feel it start to bother me at all i wear this for a night or two for relief. Occasionally I wake up and my foot is hot so I will take it off in the middle of the night, but that is the only thing that bothers me about it. Otherwise I find it very comfortable. I need to give my friend hers back so I am buying one to have as a back up.
