Phenibut was an interesting chemical to experiment with. The effects are noticeable. Phenibut will help you relax and significantly reduce any anxiety you may have, but will not be sedative (but I am not sure about sedation at high doses). Concentration ability is enhanced as well. This drug is considered a nootropic. Can help with falling asleep and staying asleep. Taking a couple grams is comparable to taking a dose of a low-level benzodiazepine. Be warned that phenibut is addictive. Many people will not take it more than 2-3 days per week, with at least one day in between, in order to avoid getting withdrawals. I find that the calm feeling I get from phenibut is similar to picamilon, but phenibut is more noticable.
These worked very well for the first month (I only needed to take one or two at bedtime), but after a month they are not working so well. I am taking a break from them and hope they start to work well again. If you only use them occasionally they would probably continue to work.

I was using a much larger SAD light that has great reviews here on Amazon and is at least 3 times the price. It worked really well in the months I used it so I was pretty sold on SAD lights by the time I ordered this little guy. The problem with the larger light is that it's not easy to move around so I leave it at my computer table so that I can have a pick me up if I'm dozing off at the computer, but I don't always use the computer in the mornings. In fact lately I've been using it less and less for work, so I got this little one that is easy to tranport into any room I want to use it in. I say that this little guy works just as well as the big light I have at 1/3rd of the price. The only drawback is that it's not battery operated, but that's not very important to me. I bought this a couple of weeks already and been using it every day. I've shopped around for a SAD light for a while and most were $100+. A friend let me borrow hers to try (she had only used it a couple times) and I had relief after the first night. My planters fasciitis had been excrutiating. I had been having trouble sleeping afrer a house fire incident where we arrived first on the scene to recscue anything in the home we could. The smoke, fumes, fire and just being there (in and out of the home) really messed up my sleep pattern with bad dreams, waking up a lot and just not being able to go back to sleep at all.
