This stuff doesn't work. I had an attack after beer and salami for the World Series. It was relatively modest since I'm very careful limiting purine rich food in my diet. But it was still painful and disabling. There was no Miracle. Eating cheese sandwiches and vegetable stew for two weeks and drinking two quarts of water a day caused the crystals to dissolve. There was no difference from former attacks without the pills. For me it was a waste of money.

I discovered these online a few years ago, and they saved my marriage! My husband snores so loud that I had left the bedroom, sleeping in another room for 6 years. I needed to find a way back to the bedroom. I tried other earplugs. They were uncomfortable, putting pressure on my ears, causing pain and there were also frustrating to put in. It would take me up to 10 minutes to get them "just right". And they were only so-so at blocking the sound. I decided to try a pair of these. I LOVED them from day one! They were so comfortable to wear (no pain and no pressure). They blocked out, I would say, about 90% of the noise. I was worried that my alarm music would be blocked out, but it isn't. I sleep so soundly now and am still able to hear my alarm clock in the morning. I've re-ordered these several times, getting a bigger pack each time. I've found that I am able to re-use them for about 3-4 months before they start to lose their effectiveness and I toss them and replace with a fresh pair. I would highly recommend this product.

I've only ever used the foam kind before, so after reading few reviews I decided to try out the wax ones... Overall they are ok; do the job. They are definitely Not as good as the foam ones when it comes to noise reduction however. I find myself waking up in the middle of the night with the wax plugs out... somehow they come off every now and then. I use ear plugs at night to drown out the snoring from my spouse. I have tried quite a few products, but these work the best as they are custom fit to your ear. Other ear plugs would start to make my ears ache, but these don't. They are reuseable and come with a little container to keep the current pair you are using.

I don't know, but this one doesn't work for me. I applied it on my temples, above my upper lip, and my throat and nothing happened I still couldn't sleep. It calms you a lil' bit, but thats about it.When I ordered this, I also ordered (Nelson) Bach Rescue Sleep. Now this one works for me (see my review of it under Bach Rescue Remedy Sleep for further details). It's much better than Badger.
I'll check out Valerian Extract (standardized) next time and see the differences between the two.

I came across this product by accident and was intrigued. I love the scent of Lavender and Bergamot, and who couldn't use a sleep balm. Plus, it's USA Organic, in keeping with all Badger products.It's suggested you rub a little onto your temples, face, neck, or lips, and use it regularly for best results. I find I miss it when I don't use it. I love the fragrance, and it's been well documented that lavender is a calming aroma.
I'm not sure it helps me fall asleep faster, but it certainly does induce a degree of relaxation, so maybe it does. Even my dog loves it and snuggles up to me when he smells it.
I've found that I love it most when I'm sitting for meditation. When you're doing the deep breathing, the wafts of the scents takes you away from other distractions. It's also great for de-stressing, bedtime yoga programs, like 'Candlelight Yoga'.

It's almost impossible if you have hand cream on, or you're re-appying the balm with oily hands. But it's worth the struggle.

Not a bad little machine. The sound loop for the 6 sounds is pretty good, if you listen (actually listen) to the loop, you can find where it starts repeating. The only thing I didn't like about this machine is that the lights for the on/off and timer are a bit bright! I solve this by putting a small towel over the area. Also, you have to remember to shut it off, or the batteries will wear out quickly! (I'm in Europe and can't use the AC plug.) Other than this, I would recommend it for people who want to either block out surrounding sounds (from outside mostly) or don't like to fall asleep with total quiet.

I love the idea behind this, it is a basic white nosie maker to drown out noise for our daughter to sleep, even camping since it runs on a couple of batteries! When we received our first item, the volume knob was "crackly" and you had to jiggle it to get it to work. We sent it back to Amazon and received a replacement. The replacement worked fine for about 6 months, and started to have the same problem. This problem doesn't kill the machine, you can use Radio Shack's Tuner Lubricant to spray the contacts and get it to work again. The quality of the potentiometer is quite low, however, and if you don't want to have to do maintenance, I'd suggest looking around for another machine.Save 8% Off

While I am giving this two stars, it really should be one. 2 stars is only because it does the job for the immediate need we had, but it is very poor quality. As it is made of just compacted cardboard, as soon as it was unfolded, the folded seems began to crack. This will NOT hold up to continuous use and suspect it will have to be discarded after the 5th time of using.If you are looking for something that you will be able to use over and over, I would suggest finding something of a more durable material that is intended for long-time use.

I lived in Connecticut/New York my entire life until two years ago. Up north, my skin had always been flawless. I never had problems with acne or breakouts until I moved to Louisiana. This product acts like a tinted moisturizer. Great for summertime when you want something light. Blends to your skin tone, which I find amazing. I've had the MARPAC SleepMate for 3 years. Not only do I use this unit to sleep, I keep it on all of the time. I usually have some kind of white noise going throughout the house to block out distractions. I don't want to obsess about the noisy neighbor. I don't always want to ask the kids to turn the TV down, when they are enjoying their TV time. The little machine helps me to re-group. It's a little solace machine. It also gives me a focal-point so I may get to sleep. Helpful especially while traveling, as it can give one the feeling of familiarity and consistency.It's travel-worthy. Using the proper country adapters, I've used this product in England, India, Finland, Australia and here at home in the USA.
It has gotten me through many-a-hotel stay.
I have a new baby (2 months) and I believe the white noise adds calm to our room.

So I asked for and received the Marpac 980A for christmas it is the perfect solution. It draws a lot less electricity, which was something I was looking for. It creates the same sort of sound the air filter or a fan creates the dial allows you to adjust how loud it is and the type of noise one way is a mostly rushing air noise, the other is more of a pleasant mechanical hum. It also has two settings on the on/off switch, low and high.
The sound screen is a lot softer volume wise than something like my air filter, when I first turned it on my husband remarked 'Is that as loud as it gets?', however, while my air filter sits on the other side of the room, far away, I put the marpac next to me on my nightstand and it actually seems about the same volume at that proximity. It's small size (about 4.5" diameter) means I can take it with me when travelling. I also liked that it has foam padding on the bottom so it will not scratch nice furniture it is set on.
It does let off a very very slight airflow out the holes, if I put my hand right over them I can feel it, but not enough to reach my face sleeping next to it and bother me.
I wanted to note that the first picture in this listing is NOT of the 980A, it must be a slightly older model, the switch is different, the second picture is correct.

I purchased the GHD IV Pure Styler in Dec. 2009 from Amazon directly not a second party seller. I tried to register this on the official GHD website. The date code was not recognized a sign that this may be counterfeit. I contacted Amazon through an email and received a very quick response. They immediately sent another styler and a label for the return of the first GHD styler. I received the replacement GHD IV Pure Styler in 2 days with high hopes. Unfortunately, the date code for the replacement was not recognized either. I had emailed GHD in both instances and had not heard back from them. After 3 phone messages and multiple attempts, I finally got a hold of a customer service representative from GHD. I was told that Amazon.com USA is NOT an authorized seller of GHD products and could NOT be registered. With the high level of counterfeits, GHD cannot authenticate the styler at this time. If you do not buy from an authorized seller/retailer GHD will assume that the GHD styler you purchased is a counterfeit and will NOT register the styler or honor the warranty. Only Amazon.com UK is an authorized seller. Confusing, I know. There are other authorized online retailers. A complete list can be heard by calling the customer service number.I just got off the phone with an Amazon.com representative. They were very apologetic and unaware of this issue. I was sent another email with a authorized return and shipping label. I wanted Amazon to be aware of GHD's policy and the fact that the GHD products they are selling are being treated as counterfeits by GHD.
So I guess the bottom line is buyer beware. I hope this helps someone else. I read all of the reviews and was wrongly assured that Amazon.com was an authorized retailer.

I just got it today and im very satisfied with it. it is authentic because i contacted GHD to confirm that amazon is an official stockist.I chose the white one because its not a very common color in hair straighteners. Pink and Blank can be seen everywhere else. The Box is the size of a shoebox, or even bigger and it came with 2 booklets and the Instructional DVD. Watching it wont waste your time.
