Dream Essentials Dream Essence Sleep Mask with Sleep Booster Herb Sachet, Shabby Chic Pink

Dream Essentials Dream Essence Sleep Mask with Sleep Booster Herb Sachet, Shabby Chic PinkI haven't used the aromatherapy packet that came with the sleep mask, but this works very well for my purposes. It's very comfortable to wear, and while it doesn't block 100% of all light (some peeks in around my nose), it blocks substantial amounts of light. With my eyes closed, I can't tell that light leaks in, and I don't know many people who try to sleep with their eyes open. In fact, I've been able to sleep undisturbed, straight through strong morning light in a curtainless room full of windows. Before using this mask, a tiny bit of morning light escaping between the slats of venetian blinds would wake me up, and I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. This was well worth the money to me. I like the pink fabric, but the textured part of it is totally unnecessary. It doesn't affect it's effectiveness, though.

Bucky Luggage 40 Blinks Ultralight Sleep Mask

Bucky 40 Blinks Mask Ultralight Eye Mask,Black,One SizeI love my bucky 40 blinks eye mask. I rode to Florida from Missouri and took long naps with my face mask. It blocks out all the light and lets you zone out, nap and relax. The mask is so soft and comfortable with the bulging eye pockets, letting you blink. I would recommend this to everyone.

I have a lot of experience with sleep masks. In fact, I am so used to sleeping with them that I cannot sleep without them now, even if I am in complete darkness. My husband likes to watch TV before he sleeps and I need complete darkness to sleep, so this is how I started using the eye mask and then this turned into a mandatory item for me to be able to sleep. I have many very soft sleep masks which I love, and I wasn't sure about this one when I purchased it. I slept with it a few times and I really like it. It is different from my other plush eye masks. It looks a little bit like a bra (in the sense that there is a little cup for your eyes to be completely open and blink inside the eye mask as the product description states). So if you put this mask on, you can open and close your eyes as you want and all you see is darkness. There is a tiny little bit of light that comes thru the bottom near your nose if you sleep on your side, but really negligible (take it from someone who needs darkness + eye mask to sleep). In all the years that I have been using sleep masks, I have never had one like this, and I have to say that the experience was different and in a good way. I actually enjoy opening and closing my eyes while the mask in on my face and I find that it gives me a nice soothing feeling before I fall asleep. I am not sure I would have purchased this product if I had seen it in a store because it does not look soft at all (and I really like soft sleep masks). I am surprised to say that the product really works and is very comfortable. I am happy to add this to my collection and I do get a nice sound sleep when wearing it. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs an eye mask to sleep like me.

Wow, am I ever disappointed in this mask. It gaps all around my nose, particularly if I lay on my side. If I am on my side, it also slides around uncomfortably if I move my head even slightly gapping even more. If I lay on my back, it gaps less, but there is a lump formed by the velcro that makes this position uncomfortable too. I don't know what is harder -falling asleep without the mask with way too much light in the room, or falling asleep with this darn thing on and bright slivers of light still getting in. Seems like this mask works for a lot of people, but not for me. I have a narrow nose bridge -maybe that is the problem for me.

These eye shades are really comfortable. Because they're contoured away from touching the eye they're incredibly comfortable to wear. They totally block out light and you can adjust the back strap with velcro attachment to fit just right. I love my Bucky 40 winks. I had lost one and ended up purchasing two replacement masks. Once the sun comes up I wake up regardless of how little sleep I've gotten. But with this sleep mask I can sleep in and think it's still dark. Treat yourself!

I am a Police Officer who works night shift and I really need this to keep dark so that I can sleep during the day. I have tried a lot of different masks over the years and this one is by far the best. Other masks bunch and lift up allowing annoying light to get to your eyes. The shape and material of this mask allows minimal light to penetrate and disture my sleep. This is my second sleep mask by this manufacturer ,(the last one was good for 3 years using it nightly), the last one had to be replaced due to wear. I give it 5 stars.

Philips Hf3470 Wake-up Light, White

Philips Hf3470 Wake-up Light, WhiteFor the most part, I really like the Philips Wake-up Light. The modern design is great. The lighting itself is beautiful. The product features are adequate. The orange LED display offers four levels of brightness. The control buttons blend in nicely with the trim. The snooze button, appropriately, sticks out like a sore thumb so if I'm still drowsy I can just reach over and activate it without lifting my head all the way up off the pillow to find it.

The elegant halogen illumination is the heart of what this product is all about. You can use the Wake-up Light as a bedside lamp and adjust it to any of several intensities. Powering down, it smoothly transitions to darkness. Awesome!

The radio sounds nice, comparable to your standard clock radio. Unfortunately, it's FM only, and I'm one who likes to make the most out of my space. With no AM band to choose from it loses a bit of value for me.

As a wake-up light, this product is fantastic! With the unit placed within a couple feet of your head, it does a fine job at convincing you that the sun has risen. There are three choices of alarms: FM radio, chirping birds or a "beep" as it is referred to in the manual, but it really sounds more like a lazy kettledrum concerto. I love waking up to the chirping birds...very natural.

If you're typically miserable when being abruptly awakened to dark surroundings, then I highly recommend this item. It's a luxurious waking experience, which can contribute to a more positive start to your mornings. It really is a cool thing to have.

***6 Month Update*** Had a lot of questions about burning out lights and whether or not I still enjoyed the alarm clock, so I just thought that I'd offer a quick update to my review. At nearly 6 months, I still use the alarm clock every day and have yet to be dissatisfied and my original review still stands. The light bulb has so far not burnt out and that's even with me using it for hours at a time as a reading lamp (note that the bulb is replaceable should it ever burn out). The bird noises still sound natural and pleasing to me (I was afraid I'd eventually associate bird tweets with groggy mornings and want to kill anything with feathers) and, in fact, I still occasionally wake up and think: My goodness, some bird is going to town out there... before realizing it's only my alarm clock. As always, if there are any further questions, please leave them in the comments section and I'll do my best to answer them.

-------------------------------------------------------

With the exception of the somewhat alarming price tag, this alarm clock alternative is actually really wonderful! I've been using it for a while now and find it every bit as effective at getting me up in the morning as my old BEEP!!!!!! BEEEP !!!!!!!! BEPPPP! alarm clock, without the mini heart attack I used to have every morning. Annnnd, in addition to the pleasant factor, it's also very handy. I've found myself turning on the lamp constantly in the middle of the night should I need to get up. The FM radio is really impressive, too. The device has great reception (comes with a wire antennae) and has surprisingly good audio quality. The video doesn't do it justice exactly, but there's actually some pretty good bass.

Here's a rundown of what I love about the Philips wake up light:

Pleasant way to wake up

Easy to use controls

Lamp multi-purposeful

Excellent quality radio

The only cons I can see are the price a little hefty for an alarm clock, but you know if it's worth it. And the fact that it's a fairly big device and won't travel with you easily. It may not sit on your nightstand well, either, depending on how much room you have BUT since it doubles as a lamp and radio you can actually replace those things with this one compact contraption!

Overall, I'm in love! I'm not at all a morning person so anything that can start my day better is worth its weight in gold.

I HATE getting up in the morning, and this thing has made it a little less painful, especially as we move into the winter months when it's still dark when I get up. I've always been able to wake easier when the sun is up, and that's the philosophy behind this wake up light.

Set a wakeup time, and the light will gradually start brightening to the setting you've picked over a span of about 20 minutes. You can choose the light brightness you wake up to brightness goes from 1 (very low) to 20 (ridiculously blindingly high). Mine is set at about 7, though it could be a couple notches lower (maybe when it's not dark out when you need to get up, you need a higher setting). This gently and effectively wakes me up. I usually wake up before the brightest part (which is why I need to adjust it), but can easily go back to sleep for a bit as it brightens up and then wake up with the final brightness at the alarm sound, and I feel much less horrid than I usually do when I get up to a radio alarm.

If you need it (you don't HAVE to have it on), you can also add a sound. The sound only comes on at the alarm time (say, if you set your alarm for 7, the light will start at around 6:40, but the alarm sound won't come on until 7), but gradually gets louder. You can wake to FM radio, chirping birds, or (what I picked) the "lazy kettle drum band" as another reviewer described it. All very nice and not jarring.

I really like this alarm. It wakes my hubby up as well on days that I'm working and he's not, but the regular alarm woke him up, too, and this is less jarring to both of us. I much prefer it to the sudden jolt of the alarm, or even a gradual sound alarm alone. I used to find myself waiting and bracing myself for the sound of the alarm if I half-woke-up not too long before it, but now I can actually go back to sleep and not feel like I have to prepare myself for it. When you hit SNOOZE, the alarm sound goes off, but not the light (I'm honestly not sure what happens if you snooze and you don't have an alarm sound set, though!).

It loses one star because for the price, the alarm could be more fully featured. It's missing some simple features: dual alarm, weekday/weekend settings, auto reset (though you can train yourself to do this manually by flicking the alarm switch back down every AM after you turn it off), digital FM tuner, and memory for the light level so that the alarm can be at say 7, but the light alone at 15.

You can also use the lamp alone or the radio alone, so I was able to condense 2 things on my bedside table (alarm clock and light) into one, and this one is fairly attractive (some of these light alarm things are pretty ugly).

Extra note: the LCD setting also has 4 brightness settings, which is nice. I can't stand a super-bright LCD, and the lowest one is fine for me.

Hope that helps. I really like this thing. Though it's WAAAAY more than I would normally pay for an alarm clock, it's made my mornings so much nicer that I'd definitely buy another one if I needed to.

The short version of this review is as follows: You could accomplish the same thing with a cheap electrical outlet timer with a lamp plugged in and keep your existing alarm clock and save a whole lot of money, but it is a decent alarm clock.

My motivation for purchasing this item, which I have been using for a month now, was because we are currently in winter and my normal waking hour in the morning is before sunrise currently. This means the room is pitch black and it is awfully hard to get up when it's both cold and dark in the bedroom and the bed is nice and warm. As always, I was finding myself having a hard time "getting it in gear" in the mornings because of this, and I generally do better during the summer months when sunrise is around the same time or earlier as when my alarm goes off. For about 4-5 months of the year, though, it's just tough. I had been thinking how nice it might be to have an artificial sunrise of sorts to help me get up and at 'em. Then I stumbled across this idea and just KNEW that someone else was thinking the same thing. I eagerly anticipated this alarm arriving and set it up the very first day I received it. I thought it would be perfect because I was going into a week of call and knew it was going to get progressively harder to get up for 2 weeks (no weekends) due to working straight through.

After the first week, I was sort of disappointed, but I thought that perhaps it was simply a matter of getting back on a non-call schedule rotation that was needed. So I have given it another 4 weeks and am still rather ho-hum about it.

Function:

This is basically a simple alarm clock with radio, buzzer, and birds chirping options for wake up sound. It has a pleasant, amber, reasonably large time display on the front and is capped by a conical lamp shade with what seems to be an incandescent light inside. This lamp has 20 stages of brightness and a separate on-off switch from the radio on-off and bracketing the switch are the brighter/dimmer buttons which mirror the volume up/down buttons beside the radio button. You can set the lamp to any of the 20 levels of brightness and turn the lamp off. At this point the alarm remembers what the brightness setting was last set to as the target brightness for the next time the alarm goes off. The same applies to the volume settings on the audible portion of the alarm.

Once the brightness is set, and the alarm is set, the alarm will turn on the lamp at the lowest setting 30 minutes before the set time for the audible alarm to go off. It will then progressively increase the lamp brightness over that 30 minutes to the pre-determined brightness, at which point the audible portion of the alarm will sound (in my case, the radio turns on) with a nice, gentle, ramp-up to the volume. You can, alternately, set the volume to be off, as mentioned above, and only have the lamp turn on with no sound associated with it.

The trick to figuring out what brightness setting you need is to set it to full bright (#20) the first time and then, when you wake up the next morning, take note of how bright the lamp was when you "registered" that it was on and awoke. Set it to that number for the next night and you should then time it roughly so that you wake up when the audible alarm goes off.

Pros:

Volume ramp-up on the radio is very gentle. Much slower than most alarms but still hits target volume in 30 sec or so. This is how it should be done.

Display is easily readable at night but not overly bright/room illuminating. I like my room to be dark, and the amber light is minimal enough to not disturb.

Can double as a night stand lamp, helping you reduce some of the clutter over there.

Light is sufficiently bright to get your attention when asleep if you happen to be turned that direction. It also helps me get to the other side of the room to the overhead light switch.

Cons:

Light output is not very bright. At full illumination, it's not really bright enough to comfortably light up my 20'x20' bedroom. It seems equivalent to perhaps a 30W light bulb or so. If you are not facing the lamp at least somewhat, you may not notice the light being on. It basically means I have to leave it set to max brightness for the alarm because half the time my back is to it and it's effectively, then, just a simple radio alarm.

Light is extremely yellow. Much more yellow than most incandescent bulbs and not at all like a real sunrise light color temperature.

Uses a proprietary lamp module, apparently, that has to be ordered from Philips. I have no idea how long to expect the included bulb to last, but it will eventually need replacing, and who knows if you'll be able to purchase one at that point. After all, they just outlawed incandescent bulbs, effectively.

The unit is huge. It takes up about as much space as a table lamp with shade does, though doesn't put out as much light as one. It's mostly vertical volume, so that helps some, but it towers over most other alarms.

The radio is poor. Reception for even nearby, strong stations waxes and wanes and is even severely affected by my position in my bed.

Sound quality is limited. This is your tinny little radio sound with no depth or volume. I can't tolerate listening to music on this unit, though talk radio (NPR) is acceptable. Thankfully this isn't that much worse than your average alarm radio, so most folks won't be taking a downgrade here.

Only a single alarm setting. No dual/multiple alarms for those who have varying daily schedules (e.g., college students) or for those who prefer a weekend setting and a weekday setting (myself).

All controls are on the front or side, none on top. This makes them all difficult to reach/use, especially when half-asleep.

You don't really feel any more rested when you wake up with the light on. It just makes it easier to turn on a real light in the room.

Very expensive for what you get. You could replicate most of this system simply by keeping your existing alarm and table lamp and adding a timer to the outlet the lamp is plugged in to in order to go off at the pre-desired time, a minute or two before the alarm does. That'd cost you about $5.

If it were me, I would do several things to improve the device.

1. Change the light source to something with a more white light and brighter light. an LED system would solve this, probably by having a preset number of LEDs, each one lighting up progressively. This would, if done properly, light up the whole room AND provide a much more natural light closer to the real world sunrise I was hoping for. I know they have LED based light therapy lamps at Philips, perhaps they could borrow those? Or, at least, let me plug in a higher wattage incandescent lamp with a whiter light output.

2. Shrink the unit by about 50-70%. Again, switching to LEDs would probably help this.

3. Provide at least dual-alarm capability.

4. Improve radio sound quality. With as large an enclosure as this thing has, it ought to sound much better than it does, even allowing for the lamp portion.

5. Drop the cost. This is a $20 alarm, basically. If they could make the above changes, it would be about a $50 alarm clock.

This is not a bad alarm, or a bad lamp. It's just not worth what the asking price is and it's certainly not much better than a standard alarm clock.

Want Philips Hf3470 Wake-up Light, White Discount?

I've had this Wake-up light for about a week now, and I am very satisfied. I get up very early and always have a hard time getting going. This light greatly helps ease the transition into wakefulness.

While using this wake-up light, I often gently wake up just a few minutes prior to the audio alarm sounds start, which gives me the luxury of lying in bed for a few more minutes as I think about the upcoming day before I need to get out of bed. I really enjoy the bird-chirping alarm sound as well as the beeping which actually sounds more like a steel drum. I haven't used the radio, so I cannot speak to its quality.

Additionally, I feel much better when waking up to a lighted room. I know longer have to fight the urge to hit the snooze button over and over again.

Final note: I decided on this model after reading the reviews of a similar model (the Philips Hf3480). The reviews of it were initially very good, but a disturbing number of reviewers had come back to edit their reviews. Apparently the light bulbs were burning out quickly and could not be replaced. On this model, light bulb is replaceable, so if it burns out quickly, it will not be too much of an inconvenience.

Edit (on April 11, 2011): After about 6 months of use, the light bulb is still going strong, and I still love waking up to the light.

Edit again (on December 20, 2011): The original light bulb is still going strong. I'm still extremely satisfied.

Thermalon Microwave Activated Moist Heat-Cold Sinus Mask for Sinus Pressure, Headaches, TMJ, 5.5 "

Thermalon Microwave Activated Moist Heat-Cold Sinus Mask for Sinus Pressure, Headaches, TMJ, 5.5 ' X 8'This product does create moist heat (I wasn't sure that the whole "pulls moisture from the air" thing would pan out). It doesn't, however, stay hot for very long. It's pretty cool by the end of my five minute treatment.

Also, it's probably better for sinus issues than eye problems. The beads inside don't stay very well in the middle parts that sit on your eyes. Instead, they pool to the side.

I had Lasik Wavefront surgeries on both eyes, and one of my eyes feel quite dry at times. I was told that moist heat can open up and unclog oil glands, that's the reason why I purchased this sinus mask. Along with eye drops, this mask relieves my dry eye when I use it on a regular basis. So I do recommend this for anyone who suffers Lasik dry eyes syndrome.

I just received the hot/cold sinus mask today. It's not exactly as pictured.

This is not the sellers doing, the product doesn't even match the picture on

the package. It's basically a bean bag, these pics all show extra stitching as

if there are compartments to hold the contents from swishing around freely,

mask received does not. Also it's kind of heavy on the eyes(maybe because my eyes are sore?)

Anyway, it holds heat a lot longer than other things I've used. Caution, it

says to heat for one minute, if not enough, heat another 30 secs. One minute

was more than enough, I had to let it cool, felt like I was burning my eyes.

I ordered this product on January 5, 2009. I loved the product. I decided to order another one for my husband recently on March 9, 2009 and was totally surprised by what I received. It wasn't like the one I ordered previously. It didn't look the same (it was plain cream colored fabric on both sides without the Thermalon logo), and it wasn't the same size (it was shorter and wider), and it didn't work the same (it didn't hold the heat as well). What's going on here? I'm debating on whether I should return it. It doesn't make sense to me. If I had known they would substitute the item without notification I wouldn't have ordered another one. So be careful. You may not receive what the picture and description advertise.

I love this mask but it doesn't stay hot long enough. It's just lukewarm after about 30 minutes and I wish it stayed hot longer. It has however helped to relieve the morning sinus pressure and congestion especially around my eyes which I've had trouble with for over a year, along the side of my face and neck. I've used this mask only 4 or 5 times so far, and have felt very little pressure or swelling in my eyes during the day. I think it would be worth trying for anyone with sinus issues. The mask was a bit smaller than I had thought it would be.

Hyland's Insomnia, Tablets, 100 tabletsI've been using this product for 3 years by now. I don't have severe insomnia, so I do not have prescibed sleeping pills. But just like everyone, I do have some nights, hard to fall a sleep, nervous break down, or frustrated and freaked out that my heart pounds like crazy. I take this pill (2-3 at once) and it makes me calm down. I love this product since there is no chemical used. It's all herbs, so you don't get addicted like other chemicals.

I hope they don't change the formula because 'calms' and 'night-forte' taste terrible...seems like a company has a good product and they stop making it to make something worse.

If I use it too many nights in a row I get a headache.

It works really well though I usually take 2 or three and I fall asleep naturally...no sudden coma or anything.

I stocked up because I tried the other Hyland sleep pills and they taste so bad I can't use them.

As most Outré products, i find the quality to be fabulous! I will have to play with the style to create the look that the picture shows. The wig is extremely comfortable and for me that is a PLUS. I've been using the Tri-core Pillow (Full size #200) by Core Products for about 2 years now...and I love it.

I first started using it at the suggestion of my chiropractor, and didn't think it would end up being all that great since I've used some other product that he has suggested in the past, only to end up greatly disappointed. However, in the case of this pillow, nothing could be further from the truth!

It is a nice firm pillow, and it provides GREAT support. On that note though, I must warn you, the pillow states right in its directions that it'll take some getting used to at first. Don't let that stop you from trying this thing out though, it could change your life...I mean it!

I used to require chiropractic adjustments about once or twice a month. Whether that had anything to do with my previous pillows, I can't say for certain. What I will tell you, with certainty, is that as a result of those previous alignments by a great chiropractor and the continued use of this pillow, I only visit the my chiro Dr. about once every 3 months or so...just for maintenance adjustments!

I kid you not...if you are in the market for a good, supportive, cervical, orthopedically-correct pillow, and at a very fair price...look no further! I'm hooked on it, I've got my boyfriend hooked on it, and I just couldn't recommend the Core Products Tri-Core Full Size #200 highly enough!

Give it a try...follow the instructions, get used to it (use for about 2 weeks before making a decision), and I hope you love it like I do. BTW, this is in no way a fluffed up compensated review. This is my own opinion...in case someone out there was thinking that someone paid me to write this...they didn't!

emWave Personal Stress Reliever

emWave Personal Stress RelieverI bought a stress eraser last year and liked it a lot, so I gave it to my son who was stressed out in law school. Instead of replacing it I decided to give EM Wave a try. I think many people have trouble choosing between these two similar items. Maybe I can help. First, I can tell you that both are useful. You probably won't go wrong with either. However, they are quite different and you may prefer one.

Stress Eraserstrengths

Stress Eraser provides true biofeedback in the form of a continuous graph that you can influence by changing your breathing or even thinking. If you follow their instructions you can learn to control the graph and doing so you learn to relax. The unit is solid. It is scientifically valid and it seems like it due to the accurate feedback.

Stress Eraserweaknesses

To use the stress eraser you must look at the graph that forms on the unit. I can't see it without my glasses. You must also have your finger in the correct position on the unit. That makes it hard to position the unit so that you can see the graph while lying down. Thus, if you want to use it to help go to sleep it is difficult. Another thing which may be a weakness or a strenght is that it is more or less a one trick pony. No bells and whistles. But it does what it does very well.

EM Wavestrengths

EM wave is more complicated, but not hard to use once you read the instructions. The unit is light weight and has colored lights, which you may like or feel is too much like a toy. I prefer the graph of Stress Eraser if I am using the unit during the day (it is more rapidly responsive and just seems more scientific), but at night trying to go to sleep the EM Wave is better because you don't need to see it very accurately...just follow the blinking lights. Another advantage of EM Wave is that you either put your finger on the unit (like Stress Eraser) or you can attach an ear monitor. The ear unit is great because you don't need to keep your hand on the unit. To use EM Wave thre are three different modes. In the basic mode the unit has a panel of lights that indicates a breathing pattern for you to follow. This pattern is not actual feedback, just a suggested breathing rate (you don't need to spend this much money for that). In the Heart Rate mode (HR)it follows your heart activity similarly to Stress Eraserso this is actual feedback. In either mode there is another light that changes color depending on whether or not you are in "coherence". Essentially I take it to mean that you are relaxed, though they talk about it in New Age speak, so it is unclear to me what exactly it signifies. In the third mode you only see the "coherence" light, which saves batteries and removes all of the distractions. Actually the unit is even more complicated than this, but those are the essentials.

EM Wave Weaknesses

The unit seems flimsy compared to the Stress Eraser. It is unclear exactly what the "coherence" indictor actually indicates. The coherence coach CD is hardly worth watching. The website and other information is a bit non-scientific with all the talk about "heart breathing". All of that new age stuff will work, but depending on your personality you might find it a bit much.

Final comments

OK so it sounds like I like the Stress Eraser more...but actually I find the EM Wave more useful due to my intended use of falling asleep with it. If you use the HR mode on the EM Wave it is more similar to Stress Eraser..real feedback. If you don't wear glasses or don't expect to use the unit while lying down, Stress Eraser is probably better. EM Wave is more interesting, with colored and blinking lights and multiple modes, but it doesn't have the same degree of biofeedback. Nevertheless, EM Wave does give enough biofeedback and if you use it you will learn to relax. Again, both are good...just different.

This device didn't work the first time it was sent and I had to get it replaced (which was done VERY efficiently, I might add). The new device works, but it is complicated to do anything but the basic breathing exercise. Also, I have difficulty getting the ear piece working. However, even the basic breathing exercise has been very helpful. In fact, I am now able to simulate usage of the device while on the golf course (and other times of stress) by breathing and imagining the read-out on the device. It calms me down and is definitely a stress reducer. I just need to take the time now to figure out all the other things I can do with the device. NOTE: It could use better instructions. That could help quite a bit.

I'm a Reiki practitoner who meditates, and also deals with anxiety and depression.

I have so far been able to use this to effectively and successfully control anxiety, stress, and anger at home or when I'm out. Before I work with Reiki, I can make sure I'm in the proper "zone" to get the most out of it. When I meditate, I can make sure I'm in the proper zone there too. It helps me get to sleep faster, and stay there. I know there's more uses; I'm experimenting as much as possible.

I purchased this to help me work through quitting some nasty anti-depressants. I give it two thumbs up for how much it's helped with that, and 2 big toes up for everything else it's helping me with.

It seemed pricey, but not after I calculated the annual cost of meds and doctor visits, and then thought about the lack of side effects associated with this biofeedback method.

Oh, and it's insanely easy to use, especially if you take the time to read the user's manual and work through the 30-minute (free!) online tutorial. If you're still confused, you can join a free teleclass.

So if I need to use it to, say, control an impending panic attack, I can fire it up and use it immediately no flipping through the manual looking for that set of instructions I thought was "right there, dammit!"

I'm so glad I can finally move on with my life, drug-free.

To be totally honest, I bought the EmWave because it was so much cheaper than the hand-held biofeedback products that I was actually wanting. I was disappointed when I received it because all it does is measure your pulse and breathing rate. What would this prove? The machine has three zones that it tracks. From what I can tell, despite what the instruction booklet says, if your breathing is shallow, the emwave will put you in the lowest zone. If you breathe deeply, the emwave will rate you in one of the two higher zones. The deeper and steadier your breath, the higher your zone. I was really irritated when I found out that's all it was doing. The problem is, I can't keep my irritation because it works. If you do the deep breathing for at least 5 minutes, you will find that your stress level decreases dramatically. I have actually come to work and found voice mails or e-mails waiting for me that have put me at the highest stress levels. If I use the Emwave, I calm back down. Now, the trick is to learn to use it immediately upon receiving the stressful news rather than reacting and then using the machine. ;) Bottom line, I recommend it. It works.

I have purchsed (and returned) Stress Eraser. I found it annoying. It prompts you to exhale at a beep. As best I could tell, that's all it does. If this is what you want -to moduate breathing for enhanced calm -count to 4 as you breathe in, count to 8 as you breathe out, and -at the end of the exhalation hold for two. Count consistently as fast or as slow as you need to. This will produce better results for you than the Stress Eraser (and it's free).

The EmWave is a different technology altogether. It is a biofeedback device, but that is not what makes the technology different. It has an infrared sensor which measures the smoothness of your heart beat (systolic and diastolic). When there is a smooth rhythm, this is called "coherence." When you are in a state of coherence, a huge array of biological benefits kick in. To use the hand-held (a little bigger than a credit card and not as thick as a pack of cards), you use a thumb sensor pad or an earclip.

In an EmWave session, you regulate your breathing and then learn to "breathe through you heart." Once you have done this, you hook onto a positive emotion, and this creates coherence. As you move through differnet levels of coherence, different colored lights are displayed, and different soothing beeps are played.

EmWave is useful for depression, stress, anxiety, pain management, and -most subtly -for learning how to choose what you want to feel in the face of any life circumstance. It gets easier and easier to do with time, and more and more gratifying. This is a world-class device, and the training offered by HeartMath is superb. Their books are the best I've read on depression, anxiety, etc. and I have read dozens on both subjects. This is a powerful and deceptively simple aid. Do take the free training; it'll guide you through the bells and whistles.

A.C. Grace - Unique-E Tocotrienol, 60 capsules

A.C. Grace - Unique-E Tocotrienol, 60 capsulesI take Unique, along with other supplements to help me fight cancer. So far it is working. My cancer doctor knows that I am taking Unique and he said to keep taking it.One of my doctors is doing research on Vitamins and their affect on cancer. So far everything looks positive. Unique E is a very powerful vitamin E. I have done a lot of research on vitamins and supplements so I know what I am talking about. So far I am winning the battle with cancer but the first time I just about did not. This time I am taking charge and it looks like I am winning because I just had a checkup and the cancer that was there 4 months ago, is gone now. So I will take Unique and the other supplements forever, if it will keep me alive. I do not want to go through chemo again. That was just so terrible.

This came highly recommended by a friend, and I've found it to be indeed helpful with circulation issues. My feet are definitely warmer when I take this on a regular basis.

This product's website says that if you take their 2 E products you'll be getting all all 4 tocotrienols and all 4 tocopherols yet the label of this their tocotrienols product says it has delta-T3 (90%) and gamma-T3 (10%). Where are the alpha and beta tocotrienols? It is confusing.

I have read that alpha tocotrienol has particular benefits but it seems like this product has none of that at all. "Each beef softgel capsule contains High-Delta and Gamma Delta-Gold® Tocotrienols derived from the Annatto Bean and contains the highest concentrates of tocotrienols at 125 mg per gel capsule."

The capsule is the tiniest I have seen which I really like. I've been cutting mine open and eating the contents. A strange taste lingers for a while afterwards (unlike other milder tasting tocotrienol products I have had before) but it isn't too bad.

Until the issue with this product only having two of the four tocotrienols is cleared up though I am going to go back to the Carlson's Tocotrienols product which is also very pure and which clearly lists the exact amounts of all four tocotrienol dosages on the label.

This product would also be better in a 180 capsule count rather than just 60, to save on plastic a bit.

I have to say I'm also not a fan of some of the very overstated claims and hype on the Unique E website which imply theirs is the only safe and effective product to take. Carlson products are also very good, and very similar, and their labelling is better and clearer as well without use of vague terms like 'proprietary blend' which set my warning bells ringing just a bit.

UPDATE: I've contacted the company that makes this and they have confirmed that yes, this product does only contain two of the four tocotrienols. So that wasn't any type of misprint and it seems this is a poor choice of tocotrienols product as it contains only 2 of the 4 types.

This Item took about one month from time of order to shipment. The product is as advertised but service was very sketchy. Finally after many emails (no replys) the vitamins arrived.

'NUGGLEBUDDY Moist Heat & Aromatherapy Organic Rice Pack for Microwave. WINE LOVERS Fabric! Say "Hel

'NUGGLEBUDDY Moist Heat & Aromatherapy Organic Rice Pack for Microwave. WINE LOVERS Fabric! Say 'Hello' to your NEW Best Friend! UNSCENTED.After looking long & hard for a replacement to a many year old falling apart heat pad I found these. I bought 2 so I have one for each floor. I only have used the unscented so far but it does the job perfectly. Great stitching that makes me feel this will be a lasting product.

Only issue I have with the scented one is that it is a very strong scent so I will air it out before use. So if you are a person sensitive to smells I would go with the unscented ones.

Thank you for such a great product!
