Furlesse Rows Anti-Aging Patches for Forehead Wrinkles

Furlesse Rows Anti-Aging Patches for Forehead WrinklesI LOVE this product!!! I don't know how I lived without these, but I am glad I found them now :) I have been worried about fine lines on my forehead and started using these every night. When I wake up I see a HUGE difference...my forehead is smooth! They stay in place all night too, not matter how much I move (which is a lot) or sweat. I just turned 30 this year so this has been a helpful tool in the prevention of lines on my forehead and I also have a concern for my "elevens" (lines between eyebrows) but luckily they have a patch for that too :) I faithfully apply this at night as part of my routine and wake up happy and ready to apply makeup...line free!

Thank you Furlesse!

I saw these advertised in a magazine so I thought I'd try them. They were "ok". Didn't stick all that well. In morning was peeling off.

I prefer "Frownies" brand. They are old fashioned and not very attractive, BUT they adhere much better and are half the price for 144 patches.

Every night I combine the ROWS + ELEVENS and I can't believe how my fine lines are completely smoothed out in the morning!! My forehead's texture has improved significantly. Furlesse works. When I found out they came out with the ROWS I was thrilled to start using them in addition to the other products. The best part about these patches is that they are affordable, you can travel easily with them and they are a natural way to diminish fine lines. You will not be disappointed with this product and I highly recommend giving them a try. I have tried a lot of fancy creams and Furlesse works the best!

Love these...you seriously wake up plumped...well your wrinkles are plumped...and that is a good thing!

My husband loves them, too!

I have 3 fine lines on my forehead since I was 17. I tried the product and I could not believe after one night all the lines were gone. BUT the lines do come back during the course of the day. I have been using the patches for a month and the visibility of my wrinkles is decreased by almost 80% at least. I am about to buy it again but I wanted to make a review before purchasing :)

Relaxso Stereo ASLEEP Pillow speaker, Micro Fleece Willow

Relaxso Stereo ASLEEP Pillow speaker, Micro Fleece WillowI needed a Pillow Speaker so I could listen to audio books in bed without disturbing my husband. I like this one because speakers are enclosed in small pillow which I place beneath or beside my regular pillow. The cord is a bit short, but it is well made and the volume is adequate for me so I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Duracell Mygrid Starter Kit - 1-Count

Duracell Mygrid Starter Kit - 1-CountThe Duracell myGrid charging device is a product you want to like. Imagine the possibilities, you come home and toss your phone, iPod or other device on the pad and walk away. No wires to plug and unplug, no more having several chargers plugged in the wall outlet. A wireless home power grid, truly the wave of the future.

In reality, though, this is truly a product that is far from being ready for prime time and is not the "wave of the future" powergrid you would think it is. More accurately it is an "extension cord" that transfers power via contacts in a totally traditional way.

It ships with 3 tips that fit an infinitesimally small number of phone models. Unfortunately, not MY Blackberry nor MY cell phone. The design of the power tips prevent them from being used on any other device than the exact model specified.

There are two glaring problems that Duracell should have considered and abandoned the whole concept of a power grid. One is that the location of the charging receptacle varies from phone to phone. On mine it was impossible to fit it in and have it connect to the included charging adapter.

The other problem is the charging adapter itself. It is a fairly large disc that you have to glue to the back of your phone with double-stick tape. Whaaat? Are you kidding me? So to make it line up with the little charging tip it is probably 90% likely to have to be glued over the phone's camera, flash or rear speaker. That's just plain dumb!

Not to mention, now you have a cell phone that you bought to be as small and convenient as possible, that you can slip into your pocket or purse or nice leather carrying case ... but no more! With a fragile adapter sticking out of the side or bottom of your phone, plus the clunky odd-shaped stick-on disc, your phone no longer fits easily into pocket, purse or case and has to be handled with extreme care so the extra pieces don't break off and get lost. Plus, with many phones that use a mini-USB connector, that same connector may be used for headphones, car speaker accessories or data access. So you have to remove the power tip each time. How is that more convenient than simply plugging the phone into a charging cord?

You can also get an optional overpriced "powersleeve" for a miniscule few devices which is a rubber boot that fits over the device with an awkward hump on the back and bottom of the device. Maybe a slightly better concept than the glue-on disc but so far I have seen them for only one model of iPod and one model of Blackberry.

Another major failing of this products is that if you travel a lot you probably have to take a charging adapter with you. You certainly won't take the power grid. That means removing the power tip each time and reassembling it to use with the grid at home. That would get very old after the first time.

I fail to see the slightest advantage to the entire product; it's like a bad April Fools joke. Someday someone will come up with a way to transfer electric power without wires; I understand that technology already exists. When Duracell or someone else comes out with a power grid that doesn't need ill-conceived adapters I'll be interested.

As far as the "instruction manual" goes, it is almost non-existent. For a product like this that most people have never used before, it is severely lacking.

Sorry Duracell, I can't give this more than one star for "interesting idea".

This product is meant to be mistaken for an inductive charging system and has 3 major problems:

1. The box says it charges up to 4 devices-well, two iPhones would just barely fit on it... so you'll not be charging 4 of those. The power supply that comes with this is a 1A power supply, and the iPhone itself needs more or less an amp to charge at full speed... so you can't charge 2 iPhones at full speed.

2. When your product requires your customer to use a special case... Make sure said case is not a ill-fitting and unattractive.

3. The case must be removed to sync, or charge off a normal charger.

If you are willing to accept these limitations, all you win is the ease of not plugging in your iPhone when you get home... Is it really that hard to do?

Buy Duracell Mygrid Starter Kit - 1-Count Now

I was very excited to get this item because between the kids and me we have an iPhone and two iPod Touch units. I was thrilled to see I could buy skins to fit the iPod Touch units and use them on this charger (as opposed to it just being for the iPhone) and thought this would make charging much easier than trying to plug one unit in for awhile and remembering to come back later to switch over to another one.

The setup couldn't be easier. You simply place the skin over the phone, plug the charger into the wall, and lay the phone on the charger. It immediately connected and started charging. The phone charged quickly and fully with no problems at all. I have no complaints at all with the functionality of the charger.

So, the two big drawbacks... I have an iFrogz case that I love as do both the kids (we actually know which iPod Touch belongs to which child based on the iFrogz color). To use the charger, you have to remove any existing case and use the Duracel skin instead. The second drawback is that to synch your phone, you have to remove the skin to be able to plug in the cord to connect to the computer.

If you are okay with using the Duracel skin all the time and the synch issue doesn't bother you, this would be a great device. It works perfect and does everything it claims to do. But, those two usability issues will bother a lot of people.

Let me begin by saying who I believe should buy a charging pad such as this one: if you have multiple cell phones that you would like to charge, or if you are very tired of having to go search for your ordinary plug-in charger and then fiddling to plug that into your phone. Also, this particular kit only works for owners of Motorola, Nokia and Blackberry phones. Users of any other brands can forget about this as chances are high that the right charging plug is not included. iPhone users, do know that according to Duracell's website an iPhone version of this pad is supposed to be out in Spring 2010.

So what is this product? The Duracell myGrid charging system basically allows you to place your cell phone on a mat to charge instantly, without having to fiddle around for a charging cord. Many similar charging systems that are now out use a physics concept called induction to charge the phone, where there are no exposed metal contacts on either the charging pad or the phone. The Duracell myGrid is NOT one of these chargers, however. Probably in the interest of cheaper costs, Duracell chose to use the older, very common concept of conduction where metal contacts on the phone and charger conduct charges.

So what does that mean? It means that the myGrid charging pad is actually one large pad with a large metal surface area. When turned on, this large metal area IS energized with electric charges. At first glance, you might think that you can shock yourself by touching the pad. Nothing to fear folks, as the electricity flowing through the pad is too weak to create any noticeable shocks. And to add peace of mind, if the pad detects your finger or anything else that conducts electricity (like keys, jewelry, etc.) to be touching the pad, then it shuts off the current.

How do you use it? To get the juices flowing into your phone, Duracell includes a special "clip" that has three tiny metal contacts on the bottom. You are supposed to stick on the "clip" with the included adhesive to your phone. The clip then connects to a charging plug which is inserted into your phone's charging port. That completes the setup. To actually charge, just place the phone on the pad with the clip in contact.

What are the flaws? Well, the charger still works if you don't 'stick' the clip to your phone. Instead, the catch is that you'll have to be careful when taking your phone off the pad. The clip is literally a magnet that sticks on to the pad, so you'll then have to exert careful pressure to remove the phone+clip from the pad. I think that's a bad design aspect in that if you were ever to switch phones, you would have to attempt to peel off the clip from your old phone and stick it on to your new one. Also, if you did stick on the clip, then you have an ugly and oddly-shaped piece of plastic stuck on to your phone for most of the day. It can get in the way of your hand gripping the phone, you can't exactly use many cases with the phone, and it just looks odd. Oh, and personally I think the pad just looks plain ugly. The whole metal pad with its black and chrome trim seems like something Doc Brown would've had in his DeLorean back in the 80s.

What could be improved? I think Duracell should do what other manufacturers of similar charging pads are doing and creating sleeves where the phone can be kept in a sleek-looking sleeve all-day that can do double-duty as a nice case. In fact, they seem to be doing this. The iPhone charging system that I mentioned earlier is on their website seems to have this very sleeve. Now if they were smart and brought it to the other brands as well.

Also, this product is being marketed and designed for cell phones only. If Duracell could find a way, I would like be able to charge my other devices on the pad, like my bluetooth headset, PS3 controller, iPod, etc. If a wide-variety of devices could be charged all using this one pad, then I would say the myGrid is guaranteed to be a hit! At the moment though, for just a few cell phone models I am not surprised to see the naysayers here on Amazon shooting down this gadget.

Overall, it's a gadget that is meant purely for convenience sake. If the clip design were improved (and maybe the overall pad design was more sleeker), then this pad can be a big seller.

The Duracell myGrid is a awesome idea that went very wrong somewhere between their R&D labs and their packaging and marketing departments. The idea of having a conductive mat to charge multiple phones is something that is cool and could be used by many households. Duracell's implementation of this idea utterly fails for a couple reasons, though.

First, what's in the box in underwhelming. You get the mat, the AC plug, one swivel clip, and 3 adapters. The 3 adapters are 2 mini-USB adapters (one right side up, the other upside down) and 1 Nokia adapter. Clearly, the mGrid has been in development for years and is only being released now. This is evident because mini-USB plugs are typically found in phones 2008 and older, and the Nokia plug, while useful world-wide, doesn't have as high a penetration rate here in the US. Or at least, as high a rate among the type of early adopters that would be interested in this product. There is no iPhone adapter (until Spring 2010?), there are no Palm adapters, and unbelievably, there are no micro-USB adapters (commonly found in 2009 and newer phones). So if you're still rockin' your RAZR from 2006, maybe you'll find what's in the box to be useful. I did not purchase this product, it was given to me, and I actually had to bust out my old RAZR just to test it...

Second, the conductive clip part has an adhesive back that you are supposed to stick to the back of your phone, and then have one of the 3 included adapters jammed into the side or bottom of your phone. Yeah, adhesive, as in--it's gonna be on there forever. Adding all that bulk to your phone. No joke. On top of that, if you have a smartphone that you want to sync with your computer through your 2008 mini-USB port, um, well, you can't do that cuz you have the adapter jammed in the plug. Even if you slip out the adapter, the clip on the back is still going to block many of the USB connector cables out there. Finally, if you're using your mini-USB phone from 2008, you're probably going to get a new one in 2010 (when your 2yr contract expires), which means you somehow have to peel off the adhesive to place it on your new phone (assuming you can buy a new adapter from Duracell's website in the future that fits your new phone). I was able to position the clip and adapter in my RAZR without using the adhesive, but the magnet is surprisingly strong. Pulling the phone off the mat caused a lot of strain on the phone's USB port. Repetitive usage like this could easily damage the port on the phone. In addition, without the adhesive, it took me way longer to insert the clip + adapter in the RAZR and carefully pull it off the mat when finished than it does to simply just plug/unplug the regular AC charger, thereby eliminating all advantages of using the mat.

I will mention that the grid does indeed work and does charge up a RAZR in about the same time as the regular AC charger. But Duracell totally failed in the execution of the device. These people make batteries! What we need are Duracell-made battery replacements with the small metal conductance nubs on the back. This way you just pop in the new battery and can lay the phone, without any extra bulk, directly on the grid. Palm does this with their Pre phone and the Touchstone accessory and it works incredibly well. Also, Duracell should offer replacement batteries/adapters for cameras, video game controllers, and other electronic devices. This would be a 5-star, highly versatile product if they did all this. But no, instead we get 2 mini-USB plugs, a Nokia plug, and one swivel clip. A craptastic failure pile in a box!

As a techie gadget lover, I want to really like this product. The actual grid itself is cool. Unfortunately, there is no other word to adequately describe the adapters + clip idea other than "stupid." At the time of writing this, the Grid goes for $70-90. If they dropped the price to $50, included adapters for video game controllers and cameras, and offered conductive replacement batteries on their website like I mentioned above, this thing would be a gadget-person's dream charging station. Until then, I'm not sure how the people at Duracell pushed this out to market. Too bad...

Frownies Corner of Eyes and Mouth Facial Patches 144 piece

Frownies Corner of Eyes and Mouth Facial Patches 144 pieceThese are FABULOUS. They really help me keep from getting that nasty scowl line between my eyes. If I go a few days without forwnies, I NOTICE. They are perforated and have a sticky side that you moisten and apply to your face to hold it from scowling or frowning in your sleep. In a very few days I noticed the difference! Frownies all the way!

I have been using Frownies for many years, mainly for a slight furrow between my eyes. Though this is the Eyes & Mouth product, I find the rounded shape better than the Forehead version, as that one has sharper edges that dig into your skin and make marks. If you use a Frownie nightly on a wrinkle, or even every other night, your wrinkle will definitely smooth out and won't get worse. They feel slightly stiff on first application but then after drying, you don't even feel it on your face, and they are made with a hypoallergenic vegetable adhesive so there's never been any skin reaction for me. Important tip: try not to store the Frownies box in the bathroom, as the humidity from bathing makes the product ends curl, and then your applied Frownie may curve and peel off in the night.

I have been using Frownies for years now. My husband understands, esp since they cost waaaay less than injectables and are a very natural way to slow the appearance of aging. I cut them in whatever shaped need to help an area of my face, such as my cheek. If you favor the same side when sleeping, you will have more wrinkles on that side, so I target the areas I need to with the personalized shape that works for me. These are a great little secret!

A couple of months ago I started to notice that my expression line around my left side of my mouth was very noticeable in the morning. I'm only 28 so this was terrifying me. But I came to realize that the culprit was my sleeping habit. Every night I struggle to go to sleep n changing my usually sleeping position felt like impossible. I researched so much n botox was not even an option since it's only for the forehead and around eyes. I was impressed with the results. The first morning when I took the tape off even my usual line disappeared!! the only negative thing is that when you take the tape off it's kinda painful specially if you have facial hair even if it's very thin it hurts. But if you really have no other way of reducing or preventing your wrinkles go for it :)

Emwave2

Emwave2, Silver BlueI'm sorry to all the cynical naysayers on the Emwave 1 page (most of whom seem like they need a serious dose of chill-out, my friends!). I think this thing is super-cool.

Background: I'm almost 10 years sober and have done a lot of work meditating, and basically just developing a common-sense spiritual practice that includes stuff like The Power of Now.

I just need something fun to sort of force me to sit and do the breathing thing. A motivator, if you will. If it looks cool and fun, all the better.

Yes, this is a bit pricey, but in all fairness you can see the amount of serious work that went into this thing. The software that comes with it (which thankfully does work on my Mac -was a bit worried about that) has tutorials and a really pro interface. It's fun to sit and watch it. (I realize I'm suddenly sounding like an ad, but this is a positive review, so!) It has "games" like the Coherence Coach, which I'm sort of half-assedly doing as I type this, which has relaxing music and a gentle voice leading you through relaxation techniques. I see three other games I haven't clicked on yet, one of which is a garden where color appears as you relax.

Maybe this stuff wasn't in the Emwave 1; I have no idea. Just heard about it from a review on Stresseraser, which was the first device I was considering over Xmas.

Okay, now I'm running the Garden Game. This is goofy and fun. Little twinkles as you change "coherence levels." Very relaxing.

I also dig:

1) Rechargeable. No batteries. I wonder how long the charge lasts, though. And now that I think about it, this could be a "con" if I'm traveling without a laptop. Maybe an adaptor would do the trick? Note to self: Need to find out. Anyway, still think it's a "pro."

2) Ear clip! I didn't think this was a big deal until I started writing this review while using the device.

Finally, I'd like to address the notion of "half-assed," which is how I'm using this device at this moment.

Sometimes it's a good thing. Like most of us with chronic stress, I'm a hideous, horrible perfectionist. I read a negative review where someone was complaining that they would be about to "achieve" the highest rating and then would get stressed about getting there, which would lead to them "losing" the rating.

This sort of thing (which I, too, am prone to ... I'm the one buying a stress-related machine, after all) underscores the idea that a machine alone can't help you relax. It has to be a tool in conjunction with "attitude" (or, if you don't object to the term, spiritual) work. I recommend The Power of Now and The Sedona Method. (Also AA, which has worked wonderfully for me.)

Like the saying, "life is a journey, not a destination," relaxation is a process, not a goal.

It's obsessive goal-seeking (and believe me I know all about this) that creates so much misery in our world today: living in and for the future, instead of celebrating what's happening at this very moment. Breathing in. Breathing out. Writing a goofy review on Amazon. Watching a 9-point field of Verdana letters expand as I click little keys on a little keyboard. The sound of traffic outside my window. My cat snoring behind me.

This is what it's all about. Right now. And it's good.

------

(p.s. paid 150 for this on amazon, but now, only a few days later, see it's 228! i probably wouldn't have bought it for this price! it seems worth it, but just fyi guess i was lucky, and hope you will be, too!)

---

update 1/16 actually using it

I finally got around to using it the "right" (or most intensive) way, with the "healing hands visualizer," which is basically like one of the iTunes "visualizers", but which changes color based on your "coherence" level. Great if you don't mind a wee bit of New Age-y music and vibe.

If you're more techno-music oriented, there's also a visualizer under "coherence coach" called water droplet that's nice. And there's an option to upload your own playlist.

I guess one of my fears with this was that I'd never _actually_ use it, but it was a very relaxing experience. Really soothing, and I upped my first official "tracked" score by stopping looking at whether I was in "coherence" and simply thinking about happy memories.

I think this is going to be an excellent way to renew my daily meditation practice.

Still really happy with this purchase.

update 1/24 stress to non-stress

I had an interesting experience last night.

Had a bit of bad financial news, so suddenly been stressed about money, but thought I was doing okay. Put on the emwave 2 before bed, and was shocked to see that, in fact, I was in "ALL-red" non-"coherence."

Came over to the computer to plug it in, and saw my heart was, in fact, racing compared to previous sessions. I was in only 15% coherence (on "Low" challenge, no less!), where I'm usually 70-90%!

Ran the "coherence coach."

The interesting thing was, while the regular breathing helped to get me into coherence somewhat, it only REALLY started going down when I started replacing my fearful thoughts ("if I don't make money I'm what will I do, I'm screwed, etc.") with thoughts like "I've always been taken care of," "everything's always worked out," and better YET, REMEMBERING / PICTURING times of plenty and safety (which have always followed fearful times, one way or another: which proves everything works out).

Tinnitus

This is revolutionary for me. I'd also like to mention I'm also a tinnitus sufferer, although an audiologist told me not to talk about it because it gives in "energy." But I think it's more important to share helpful news. Like many, I've noticed when the ringing is "mysteriously" louder, looking back I can see stressful circumstances surrounding it (it'll even "turn up in volume" very noticeably after a stressful thought). This device reminds me that, while tinnitus may not be under my control per se, my reactions ARE under my control! Another thing I noticed after reading the reviews of StressEraser (which I was considering buying first), was that when I'm stressed, 9 times out of 10 if I check my breathing I'll see I'm actually "holding" my breath, essentially choking off my air supply!

Summary

My conclusion is that by practicing more positive thoughts, avoiding resentment and cynicism (even cranky reviews, "feedback" or forums online ... you know what I mean), paying attention to my breathing and replacing fearful thoughts with safe thoughts, I can minimize negativity that's "hiding in the background" -i.e., I may THINK I'm "handling it," but physiologically my heart rate and breathing tell a different story.

This is why I got this. To develop the PRACTICE of de-stressing.

Re-ran the emwave with the positive thinking, and instantly went back to 88% coherence. Wows! (It also helps to not obsessively watch your "progress" ... just breathe and think positive stuff. When connected to the computer I'll even close my eyes some sessions so I can't see my coherence level, then look at "score" afterward. I seem to score as well or better like that.)

If you get it, be sure to use the computer "coherence coach," and make those thoughts POSITIVE, it seems to be working!

I've had a "StressEraser Portable Biofeedback Device" for several years. I have been working with a neurofeedback / biofeedback training specialist for several months (expensive, but worth it!). As I prepare to conclude my twice weekly sessions, I want to have something at home to help me maintain the gains I made during the months of neurofeedback training and tools to quiet my mind when I'm experiencing stress to which I can't otherwise regulate my reactions. I find feedback very helpful for getting the most of the time I invest in calming myself. The StressEraser provides feedback, but the EmWave2 provides much more feedback, particularly when using the device in conjunction with a computer. I sometimes have trouble getting the StressEraser to detect my pulse through the finger sensor and it is difficult to find a position in which to relax while using the StressEraser without losing the connection. EmWave2 addresses the connection issue nicely with an ear clip sensor. EmWave2 offers more options than does StressEraser and is easier to use. There are many optional accessories (books and software) available to add-on to the EmWave2 but "what's in the box" should be sufficient for most users.

This device is simply amazing! Anyone can pace their breathing and think happy thoughts, but this tells me I am doing it right. Once it arrived, I barely read the instructions and just powered it on. (after 2 hour initial charge) I put my thumb on the sensor, and started breathing in and out with the pacer. After being stuck in the blue zone and finally transitioning to green (15 minute total session time), I felt amazing. I did this right before bed and felt extremely relaxed. It felt like a body buzz from alcohol, with no loss of lucidity. I went straight to sleep with no issues. (normally takes me some time to slip into sleep) The next day, I awoke extremely refreshed and did another session before work. It set the tone for my entire day, in a way I couldn't imagine. It was hard to have a negative thought and I felt very good. I've done about six more sessions since then and man it just gets better. I love the instant feedback and being able to look at charts of my progress. I know the heartmath institute can be a bit extreme on their stance of the heart, but I love what this device has done for me so far. I already meditate, eat a high quality diet, get proper sleep, take key vitamin supplements and use brain training tools and supplements. Even with all that, this device still has a place, in improving my overall well-being. I will try to update after a month or more of use. Hope this helps and best of luck.

I can't tell if this gadget helps me meditate better, but I sure meditate a lot more because it makes meditation fun. There's a clearly defined goal, and the goal is pretty easy to reach, so it's fun the way games can be fun. I notice the price bounces around a lot, the way your meditation skill bounces around a lot, so if makes sense to watch the price fluctuations before you put your money down (I paid $150 on Amazon in February 2012.)

I've been using the device for a few days now and found it to be very effective.

The device is basically a heart rate variability monitor. Simply put, the device measures your heart rate in real-time and records the data. Most people have a misconception that the heart rate is steady and can be represented as a single number. In reality the heart rate number most people think of is actually your average heart rate over a period of time. In a healthy individual the period of time between each heart beat will vary greatly.

The software included with emwave2 plots the data on a chart to show you a graphical representation of your HRV (heart rate variability). If you're stressed the swings from high to low tend to be irregular and appear jagged. On the other hand, when your body is in a "coherent" state the chart appears as a nearly perfect sin wave.

Getting your body to switch from a stressful state to a coherent state is the difficult part. There is a countless number of ways to accomplish this including breathing exercise, meditation or prayer. One of the features included in the software is the Coherence Coach. It will teach you how to breath at a regular pace while thinking of positive thoughts. If you're not happy with this method just use whatever method works for you.

Once you get the hang of things you can switch back to the chart to see how well you're doing in real-time. It will rate your HRV as either red (bad), blue (ok), green (good). It will then score your session based on how much time you spend in the red/blue/green zone. I was able to achieve a coherent state after about 10-15 minutes of practice. Your results may vary based on how stressed you are or how effective your method is. The more you practice the easier it will be to reach the coherent state.

Although I've tried breathing exercises I wasn't able to get them to work as effectively without seeing the biofeedback. I believe that after a few months of training the biofeedback will no longer be necessary.

One star deducted because of the high price.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Lavender Vanilla Blissful Sleep Body Wash 10 ozI purchased something new to try and was amazed at how well it worked as I've never tried aromatherapy. I love it! It works great in a hot shower as that is all I take due to chronic back damage. Secondly, The mixture is wonderful on my skin because it leaves it quite soft and moist, not like other shower gels. Lastly, the vanilla is a nice scent so between smelling it and the hot water I can feel relaxed enough to fall asleep in the evenings. Thank you Bath and Body! Great job!!

  • Automatic time set and daylight savings time adjustment
  • Am/fm clock radio with led display
  • 6 Nature Sounds
  • Am/Fm Radio Feature
  • Dual Alarms Feature
  • Time Projection

I have three things to say about this clock:

1. If you, like me, hate a loud beeping alarm, this one lets you pick 6 "nature" sounds to choose from, and you can set the volume on those -or on the beep. This is, to me, a fabulous feature, and the reason I bought the clock in the first place.

2. It's a clock. It's a radio. It's a white noise machine. It's R2D2. (Ok, no, but the projector piece makes me think the video of Leia is going to show up on my ceiling.)

3. It's *ridiculously* bright. There are two settings on this clock, Really Bright and OH-MY-GOD-AM-I-IN-TIMES-SQUARE? bright. It cast a shadow of me on the wall while I slept. If you keep the clock across the room from you, maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but mine is on my bedside table and it was like sleeping with a flashlight in my eyes.

I'm not kidding, I could read by it in bed.

The clock projection is mounted on the wrong side of the clock. This would have been an ideal clock except that the project can be tilted only at a 90 degree angle, allowing the projection on the wall behind the clock. If you need to see the time on the ceiling, you have to turn the clock around backwards to have the time project overhead. I returned this clock to Amazon for a Sony Projector Nature Sounds Dream Machine which has a 180-degree range of motion in the projector.

My only excuse is that I purchased this Homedics projection clock/radio using a Christmas gift certificate from a brick and mortar store. But I should have at least looked at the Amazon reviews.

I set up the clock radio, it flawlessly acquired the correct time via the atomic clock, and I set the alarm. I set the light setting on the display for the lowest of the two settings, and oriented the projection on the ceiling. As soon as my light was out, it was evident that the bluish lighted display was producing way to much annoying light, and the projection was not helping in that regard. We've had an Emerson projection clock in our household for a couple of years with a red lighted display and projection which produces no such problem.

Finally, by the early hours of the morning, I'd had enough. The comment someone made about Homedics clocks producing enough light to make shadow puppets was apt. The only good thing I can say about it was that it made enough light so that I had little trouble in what would have otherwise been the dark to find the cord and plug and pull it out of the outlet, so that I could finally turn off that blasted over-bright display and properly relax for a bit of sleep.

It is going back to the store at the next opportunity. And I won't make assumptions that nobody could mess up the manufacture of something as simple as a clock display. I'll read the reviews next time and steer clear of Homedics clocks.

I did not read all reviews, so this may have already been mentioned. It was said the time reflects on the ceiling backwards. If you turn the clock away from you, the time projects correctly, and the light is not in your face. Can't deal with being awakened by startling noises of an alarm clock(who's idea was that). Have to have a sound machine.Thanx.

This is a very poor quality product. The alarm could only be set once. When I tried to change the alarm set time it would not change. I then tried clearing everything by removing the battery. Not only would the alarm still not reset, but now the time and date could not be set. Typical chinese made garbage. This product is so bad that Michigan based HoMedics must know that it doesn't work and just doesn't care. Wish I still had my receipt--now all I can do is throw it in the trash.

Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir, 1.7 OZ (2 Pack)

Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir, 1.7 OZI am very satisfied with this product, I think it does smooth fine lines. I know that I'll never look like I did in my twenties but I feel like I look damn good for forty :)

I would definitely recommend this product! Plus, not as pricey as other items. I've done the more expensive eye/face creams, now I use Olay products.

Melatonin (10mg) - Fast Dissolve

Natrol Melatonin Fast Dissolve 10 Mg, 60 Countthis works very fast, I kept forgetting to take the regular slow working Melatonin 2 hours before bed, with this one I take it when I get in bed and in a short time I'm out for the count.

I take one tablet each night and so far, seem to be sleeping much better. Since the tables should be dissolved in the mouth, the taste isn't too bad. It's not great, but thankfully, it's not real sweet.

Planetary Herbals Full Spectrum Valerian Extract Tablets, 650 mg, 60-Count Bottles (Pack of 2)

Planetary Herbals Full Spectrum Valerian Extract Tablets, 650 mg, 60-Count BottlesI've tried every brand offered at Target, Walmart, and Amazon.com (if it was eligible for free shipping), and this one is the most potent. You only need to take 1 tablet, as opposed to 3 to 5 for the other brands. This helps me sleep if I've had caffeine later in the day. It also helps my muscles relax and my jaw to stop clenching during sleep. I take it after going to the chiropractor, getting a massage, or using new muscles that haven't been used in a while to prevent my muscles from seizing up. I always make sure I have a back-up bottle--I love this stuff and don't want to run out. The other brands are weaker and not worth it.

This valerian is much more effective than other valerian. It has higher mg per dose plus it has a higher valerenic acid content than most. I have tried many valerian products and this one is the most effective to aid with sleep and muscle relaxation.

Product itself is OK, but I'm taking it with 5-HTP. The Valerian pills STINK literally smells up my entire kitchen when I open the bottle. However, since starting the Valerian/5-HTP regimen, I'm sleeping much better and more regularly which is why I ordered it in the first place. I'll probably see about a liquid extract or gelcap when I run low on these, but it seems to be working.

I started taking these after having a little bit of insomnia. These helped me a lot! You do have to go straight to bed after taking the pills, as they start acting anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes after taking. Not that I would recommend taking it with alcoholic beverages, but I've taken these a couple of times after a night of drinking and they still helped me have a much, much better night of sleep. Highly satisfied!

The quality of the tablets is good. I can feel a little relaxation after taking them. I have anxiety disorder and take stronger sedatives so for me to get any calming effect from these I take 3 or 4. But if you just need them for stress or sleeping I think they would work well for you by just taking one or two.

Mindfold Sleeping Mask

Mindfold Sleeping MaskThis mask might be ok for sitting up sleeping, like in a plane or car, but it's a no-go for side-sleepers in beds. The plastic front extends well beyond the foam rubber and digs into your cheek. The elastic is set too low and cuts into the tops of your ears, unless you pull the back of it up to the crown of your head (where it won't stay long if you move much in your sleep) and then the mask is so tight across the bridge of your nose and your cheeks that it makes you feel like your sinuses are all stuffed up. Which is kind of the case anyway if you adjust the mask tightly enough to cut out the light.

World's Finest Ear Plug---(24-Pair) Family & Friends Pack

World's Finest Ear Plug---(24-Pair) Family & Friends PackOn my job, I often have to go offshore and wear ear plugs for long periods of time, including during sleep hours due to snoring of other workers in the same bunk room. I tried numerous types of foam earplugs with the same poor results-within one day my ears were extremely sore. These earplugs not only provide a higher noise reduction rate, but I have used them nearly continuosly day and night for 8 days at a time with no discomfort. I highly recommend these plugs for anyone who needs to sleep with hearing protection or for any other high noise exposure.

Futuro Night Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Foot Support, Adjustable, Model No : 48507 - 1 Ea

Futuro Night Plantar Fasciitis Sleep Foot Support, Adjustable, Model No : 48507 - 1 EaIf you're reading this, you either think you have or have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. One day in early July out of the blue my left heel started to hurt. I've never had foot problems so I didn't think much about it. Two days later I could barely walk. Every step was sheer agony. After some checking on the internet I quickly realized I had the classic symptoms of plantar fasciitis, i.e., the pain would decrease very slightly after walking for awhile (I found out that was because the ligament was being stretched), the pain was always so much worse after driving, and in the morning the first step upon getting out of bed was absolutely excruciating. I followed doctor's orders. I iced it, did all the stretching exercises and rolled my foot around on a frozen soup can. Nothing seemed to help. The doctor never once mentioned using a night splint. I ordered this splint after reading about it in a plantar fasciitis on-line chat room. It completely lived up to its promise. It arrived much sooner than anticipated and after using it for 3 or 4 nights I could walk again without having to hold onto the furniture and wanting to scream out in agony. After using it for about 10 nights I was completely pain free and have been ever since. It simply keeps your foot in the proper position while you sleep so the ligament can heal. It's not uncomfortable at all and never interfered with my getting a good night's sleep. If you've been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, take my advice. Do not hesitate. Do not hobble around in agony for weeks like I did. Order this immediately. I wish I had known about it sooner.

After weighing all the options, I decided to try the Futuro night splint for my plantar fasciitis. The Futuro has a strip of plastic in front and the rest is soft fabric with velcro fasteners. By the way, the info on the box says: ". . . The adjustable fasteners create a customized fit for most body types. Measure the circumference approximately 2" above the ankle bone." "Adjust to fit 8-15 inches." So, if the measurement of your leg above your ankle bone is less than 8 inches or more than 15 inches, this splint will either be too big or too small for you. My leg measures 12 inches and I wear a size 11 women's shoe. The splint is comfortable to wear and has helped to alleviate the horrible heel pain I had every morning when I got out of bed.

This summer my plantar fasciitis flared up worse than it ever has. After a day on my feet, I was limping and almost in tears from the pain. My sister had a similar problem a few years ago and found a night splint brought her relief when nothing else did. Not wanting to invest $50.00 or more in a night splint when I wasn't sure it would help me, I opted to buy the less expensive Futuro Sleep Support.

Initially, the support made a big difference in my pain level. That first step out of bed in the morning was not as excruciating as it had been and my pain was less during the day. Unfortunately, the improvement only lasted a few days, and then the support did not seem to make a difference and I stopped wearing it consistently after a couple of weeks.

So I consulted a physical therapist who specializes in the treatment of foot/gait problems. He thought the sleep support would be somewhat helpful, though not as much as an actual sleep split, and recommended I resume wearing it. After six weeks of treatment, including stretching and strengthening exercises, my feet were much improved. I continue the regimen of exercises and wear the sleep support most nights. I have resumed my exercise walking and still am mostly pain-free.

If you have minor plantar fasciitis, the Futuro sleep support alone might help. However, if your pain level is severe, as mine was, I do not think this support alone would bring relief from pain, but as part of a more involved treatment plan it might have some benefit.

I found it almost impossible to adjust it to keep my foot in the proper position. If I made it loose enough that it didn't cut off circulation in my foot (or calf), then it would slip down the calf and my foot would end up pretty much in its normal position. If I made things tight enough to somewhat hold my foot in the position it should be in for a device like this, then my toes would start to tingle and foot fall asleep right away or there would bee a lot of pressure on my lower leg/ calf area.

Basically, if your foot flexes downward (away from the knee, which is what you're trying to prevent) then it just causes the velcro around the calf to slide down unless you make everything incredibly tight.

Like some others, I had to rip it off after not wearing it for very long in order for me to fall asleep (rather than just having my foot asleep, that is).

I think the concept of "pulling up" on your foot from the top may just be flawed, as opposed to having something under your foot to "push up" on it or hold it up.

Complete waste of money for me. Maybe it would work for some depending on the size and structure of your foot and calf.

This splint is working now but I too had problems keeping it on at night. If it was tight enough to keep my foot @ 90 dorsal flexion, my toes would go to sleep and wake me after a few hours and i would take it off. I finally started folding an ankle sock three folds and placing it in the curve of the splint the ankle and the splint. This allows slightly more dorsal flexion without additional tightening of the strap around the ball of the foot. Now the neoprene strap is more giving but is always trying to slightly dorsal flex the foot. After the first night the difference was remarkable. Its basically like a spacer between the dorsal of the ankle and the splint causing more flexion , but its gentle and loose on the ball. I have been fighting pf for 2+ years ! stretching ,icing, inserts ,cortisone shots(ouch!!!) all of which helped some but still in constant pain. These splints are 2 years old and after about 4 weeks initially of fighting them throughout the night i gave up on them. Just a few weeks ago I decided to try them again adding the folded sock as a spacer and glory be!!!! getting pain free!!! finally! hope this helps someone. pf sucks!!

Bunion Aid Hinged Splint for Bunions

Bunion Aid Hinged Splint for BunionsBunions have made doing any kind of exercise without shoes on (or without those prescription insoles) mostly impossible because of balance issues. I don't have too much pain from my bunions, thank god, but they have made doing some activities pretty difficult, especially yoga, which has been the only form of exercise that I've ever enjoyed. Since I have limited mobility in my big toe, I can't use it to balance like most people can, and this became a problem when I did yoga because I would just keep on falling over, and doing balancing positions seemed to make the bunion worse because it meant more time was spent in the misaligned position. This is where the Bunion Aid comes in. I started wearing it to classes, and it has made the biggest difference! I can balance, I don't have to constantly re-position my toes, and the hinge offers enough rotation to do most positions comfortably. It does get pretty sweaty, but the cloth parts are pretty small so washing is not an issue.

As the title suggests, there is a false claim, in my opinion the one regarding wearing it inside your shoes. Unless you are wearing massive shoes that are 3 sizes too big and too wide for you, you will not fit this contraption inside your shoes in any comfortable way. This is especially the case if you are only wearing one, because then the other foot would feel uncomfortable because you'd be wearing too-big shoes (which would be fine for the foot with the splint, but way too big for the other foot).

This is a minor issue for me, and the BunionAid has helped me out so much and has improved my overall comfort in such a significant way that the inability to wear it inside my shoes just seems so insignificant in comparison, which is why I am not taking a star off for it.

From the wife of E. Lyons: My bunions aren't as bad as some people's are, but they were paining me on a regular basis, especially on my right foot. I was searching for something that could help not only alleviate the pain, but perhaps help stop or slow what seemed to be a process of change in my feet. After sleeping with the Bunion Aid on my right foot for only a week or so, the pain disappeared. I've also used it on my left foot as needed. At this point I wear the Bunion Aid only after wearing tight shoes, high heels or if my feet have had a heavy work-out. I know it's worked for me and I feel I may have staved off an uglier situation with my 53-year-old feet! The Bunion Aid is a great tool and I'm really glad to have discovered it.

This is the most effective product I have ever used to relieve bunion pain. I tried other splints and such, but this is completely different. Although the stretch feels gentle, it really is very effective. I have been able to wear them inside my giant Crocs with thin socks, which is great. Although my Crocs are not particularly attractive, I am grateful that I can wear the splints during the day because they train my feet to walk in a more aligned way. I also wear them at night and have no problems sleeping with them on. Other splints would cause irritation or pain, but these are just great. Well, I did experience some itching and rubbing from the velcro once, but that was only because I didn't take the time to put the split on correctly.

So far, this is by far the best product out there for bunions. I have only used them consistently for a few weeks, so I will be sure to update in a couple of months.

I had another bunion regulator that was a lot cheaper from Foot Smart, but in this instance, you get what you pay for. That one was to wear only at night, but it was so uncomfortable I found myself getting up in the middle of the night and taking it off. This one I have no trouble wearing all night, and in fact it can be worn during the day in shoes. It is easy to adjust, too. Definitely worth it for anyone with a bunion who wants to avoid having it get any worse.

Want Bunion Aid Hinged Splint for Bunions Discount?

I've tried several other bunion splits, with limited success. Even though a podiatrist told me that this split wouldn't do any good, I can testify that he was wrong. I've been using it about 2 months, right foot only. My bunion wasn't bad yet, but getting worse. I only wear the splint at night, and these are my results the redness over the bunion area is gone, the discomfort of wearing certain shoes or sandals is gone, and the stiffness of flexing my big toe is gone. There is still an obvious lump, but I actually think it is smaller, and certainly no bigger. I am a fan of this product.

March 12, 2012 I've been sing this product for quite awhile, and still have great success with it. The straps do not last forever, even with the occasional washing, but I have never minded reordering the splint because it helps my foot so much. I just discovered that there are replacement straps available for the splint from Alphaorthotics web site, and they cost half of what a new splint does.

Agar 35

Agar 35I was told about Agar 35 by a friend who is a Chinese medicine doctor and acupuncturist. She said this works better for anxiety than anything she can prescribe, so I tried it. Worked for me the first night and day. I slept great and woke up without the rushing thoughts I'm prone to. I read more about Agar 35 on the company's website and am going to take it for a few months to see if I can once and for all get over my persistent anxiety. It's been a month and I feel like a new person. No wonder it's been around for 500 years

I have insomnia for a longtime. I took prescribed medicine from doctors. But Agar 35 is best thing I have ever tried. It worked very well for me. I suggest Agar for people who have insomnia.

As a lifelong insomniac, I have struggled for years with sleepless nights. A few months ago I began taking Agar 35 and the results have been amazing. I fall asleep more easily, sleep more deeply, and awaken refreshed. In reading other reviews, I seem to be taking it on a more long-term basis than most people. But I had some serious sleep issues, and I feel that Agar 35 is working for me on a deep, transformative level. I'm taking it with Semde, which is also a wonderful product!

I used Agar 35 in the evening together with Semde in the morning for a number of months and found the combination to be remarkably effective. I slept much better and had more alert focused energy throughout the day. Typically you only need to take the formulas for a relatively short period of time, usually 3-6 months, until your system resets. Because there are very small amounts of so many herbs in the formulas they are considered very safe to use. I know people who have found this combination very helpful for depression.

Agar 35 is a great product. I took the 'ball' kind when in India, but it tastes pretty strange, so I was excited to see that these guys have it in capsule form. Product is the same as what I was given in India, but for me works even better since the taste tended to make me want to 'forget' to take it. Whether I'm stressed from too much work or simply not sleeping well, Agar 35 puts me back on track. Great stuff!

Sun Source Melatonex Melatonin with Vitamin B6 Tablets, 30-Count Boxes (Pack of 3)

Sun Source Melatonex Melatonin with Vitamin B6 Tablets, 30-Count BoxesThis product is the only form of melatonin I have found to consistently work for me. When I haven't been exercising enough, I can tell before I go to sleep if I'm going to have trouble with waking at 3 or 4 am. Then I will take it before bedtime, and it consistently allows me to go back to sleep within minutes, instead of spending two hours awake, fretting. When my local store stopped selling it, I was very bummed, and went in search. I've been without for a month, and am so relieved to have found a source.

I have experienced the benefits of Melatonin for years. And I have tried many other brands. Melatonex has always, by far, been the best. It more consistently provides sleep and has never caused a problem for me. I would not buy another brand.

I have a medically verified melatonin deficiency that causes me to wake up in the middle of the night (my body thinks is morning). Regular melatonin doesn't do any good because it's gone by the middle of the night. This stuff is the best product I've used (and I've tried a lot). The mix of time release and high doses of B6 are just right. For people using it for the first time, make sure you use if for at least 3 days when you start.
