BED OF NAILS 1919 Mat, Green - THE ORIGINAL with 8820 spikes

I'm not totally sold on this acupressure mat. It supposedly alleviates pain and brings on a state of euphoria. Perhaps the latter part is true. I do feel very relaxed while laying on the mat and have actually fallen asleep on it a few times only to wake up a hour later.

When I received the package I was a little surprised at how sharp the pressure nails really are. This is definitely to be kept out of reach of children. I laid it out and went shirt off my first time. It did hurt at first. It was a burning sensation that eventually subsided. And the first time I got up from the mat I thought my back was on fire. After multiple uses I did get used to all this and actually found it quite enjoyable.

The problem is; does it work? I cannot answer that. I can give you my background. I am a very active person. I golf 3-4x a week, jog regularly, and lift weights at the gym sometimes doing all 3 activities in 1 day. Earlier this year I strained my upper back muscle. If you've ever done this it's quite painful. This product never crossed my mind until I saw it at a very good price. After doing some research on the product I concluded that it's worth a shot. I also have trouble sleeping at night. I wake up probably 3-4x a night and never get a good nights rest.

Results:

The bed of nails did not help me with my sleeping problems. I still wake up regularly through the night. It also did not help with my muscle pains. I've been using it for 3 weeks now. It also hasn't really helped with loosening my tight back muscles either. I can vouch for the relaxation part, however. I lay on it for 20-30 mins with music playing and I feel at peace. I collect my thoughts and feel very calm.

I went through the Bed of Nails website and found that they don't actually claim it does anything. They throw around the word 'may' everywhere. Like a lot of Western medicine it's really up to the person to make up there own mind. Do magnets for pain relief actually work? I don't think so, but there are proponents out there for that too. At this point I would just caution the buyer.

The Bed of Nails has literally changed my life. A bi-daily routine for me, standing on the bed in the morning awakens me and gives me a sense of calm relaxation and a jolt of energy to start my day. At night, the bed soothes my sore muscles, erasing any sense of tension, and lulls me into a deep sleep. After many years of doing chiropractic, massage, acupuncture and yoga to counteract a neck injury sustained in a car accident, the bed has absolutely blown my mind with the benefits over the long term and far surpassed all other remedies and practices. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving. The Bed of Nails pillow, which I just started using, is my instant happiness delivering a rush of endorphins surging through my body, it always puts a smile on my face. The sense of well being and endorphin high is so appealing there should be a warning label!

I would recommend the Bed of Nails to anyone looking for a deeper state of relation, to alleviate chronic tension and especially for those with sleep problems. It is truly a wonder how effective and transformative the Bed of Nails is and I'm not sure how I lived 30 years without it. I've shared and gifted the Bed of Nails to at least a dozen friends and am still amazed by the health benefits. It is without doubt the best purchase I've made in as long as I can remember.

Saw this on lightning deals, and thought it would be worth a try since it had primarily positive reviews. Not only did I get NO results from the mat, it can't be returned because it's considered a personal health item. The non-returnable part never occurred to me, but I will be more careful in the future. The mat sounded too good to be true in the reviews, and that should have been a clue.

I was given the bed of nails as a gift. I stand alot for my job and I am overweight so I frequently had lower back pain. I had no idea what to expect from the bed of nails and when I first lay on it topless it was quite painful. I then put on a t-shirt and laid on the mat and found it to be pleasant. I used it for a week or two every night with a t-shirt on and as I got used to it I lifted my shirt bit by bit until I didn't need the shirt any more. Now, it doesn't hurt and it relaxes me. The list of ailments the bed of nails is said to cure is extensive and I was hoping it would make me sleep better, but it didn't. It relaxes me and has even helped me fall asleep but I still wake up and I have scratched my fingers on the plastic nails while adjusting the mat. However, I don't get back pains anymore. I didn't even notice at first. Then it dawned on me that I hadn't been bothered by my back in days (weeks now). I use it as I lay on bed every night and I feel more relaxed in general and my back feels fabulous. I think you may have to use it a few weeks before you notice the difference, but once you do you will love it. If it hurts use a t-shirt until you grow accustomed to it. I highly recommend.

I was a bit skeptical, but the reviews were great so I went ahead and bought this. I'm so glad I did. The more I use it, the more I like it. Within a few minutes of laying on it, it's as though I can literally feel my circulation improving. Often times, when I stand up, I feel like I do after receiving a massage. My husband who is much larger than me does not like it and says it hurts too much to stand. Works for me though! I highly recommend giving it a try. I bought the pillow too and it's a nice set. Kingsley Aroma Eye Masque, Lavender

Not terrifically impressed with this, but it's true to it's claim. It's an eye cover, it can go in the fridge and for awhile it smells like lavender. I think I was just expecting it to be...somehow better? It just feels sort of cheap, but then again it is inexpensive.

I find the Lavender Aroma Therapy Eye Masque very helpful for those times when my seasonal allergies are flaring up. It can be used cold or warm. Ladies White Cotton Lightweight Lisle Gloves - 12 pair

The gloves that arrived looked like cheese cloths. I am wondering if I received the wrong item as the picture noted a thicker gloves. The ones I received is so thin that you can see the skin through the gloves. I read that it can be washed and re-use. I don't believe so because after using one time, it does not seems reusable. Very disappointed with product and picture is deceiving as it does not match the actual item received. Do not waste your money because I don't believe I can return them since I used a couple already.

These gloves would work fine as inspection gloves, but not as "spa" gloves. I use gloves occasionally when I sleep after putting on lotion to lock in the moisture. These have no spandex in them, so the fit is not so great (although it's a stretchy cotton). Once they are stretched out to fit over your hands, the wrist part is so wide that they don't stay on. Not the best for my needs.... But if you want something to handle delicate things without fingerprinting/oiling, then these would make great inspection gloves for you.

These are terrible gloves they are extremely thin (you can see through them!), and do not hold moisture well. They have no elastic, so they stretch out and don't stay on after one or two nights. You CANNOT wash them. There is no hemming around the wrists at all, and after washing them once, the wrists have frayed and are so stretched out I can practically pull them over my head. The picture is a terrible representation of what you get. Stay away!

The material is thick enough that sunlight doesn't get through it, the eyemask is oversized, and the headband hold tight but not so tight that it causes a headache.

I tried one the memory foam eye-masks ....it was way too hot and pushed down too hard for my taste. After 5 years the elastic just started to lose its elasticity. This is my favorite (and also my boyfriend's favorite I finally got him the one of his own with a more "manly" print.

The mask is very pretty and made well. The problem is that light still gets in around the nose area. After used a few times I noticed that the strap got looser and the mask would keep riding up. I've found much cheaper masks that worked much better. They don't look as nice, but work much better.

This mask is really lightweight and soft with its silk back. It is flexible and pretty soft over the eyes. Small elastic strap fits perfectly.

Larger from top to bottom than most similar masks so blocks out more light. Some light still gets in around nose area.

Probably not as good for light blocking and eye comfort as those masks with space for nose and eyes. Still really soft and much prettier!

My girlfriend got this mask for herself and she really likes it.

I have tried it on as well, and the only issue either of us has is that the strap is not adjustable, and it is not large enough for me to wear comfortably. For those with smaller heads, this might be perfect, but for others, you may need to stretch out the strap a bit before you can really wear it for an extended period of time.

The sleep mask was way too tight on me so I was unable to wear it. Also the product is extremely bulky, so even if it had fit, I probably wouldn't have been comfortable sleeping in it.

The "other different" sounds are variations of the same sounds in the system. I am very happy with this sound machine. It performs as it should and contrary to some people's opinion, I found that the electrical cord is plenty long enough. It fits perfectly on a small shelf in my bedroom and although I have only used the white noice setting to date. The sound is perfect for sleeping. I no longer have to run a fan all year round. Keep in mind this is not a surround sound stereo system but it does the trick. I would recommend this machine to friends.

I was trying to figure out which sound machine to buy for my shorty for christmas and deliberated quite a bit. I eventually chose this machine because it was one of the cheapest, and I wasn't sure if she would like any machine so why not go cheap.

This little guy is all you need, as far as I'm concerned. It's about the size of a hardcover book. Very light and portable. Most of the sounds suck (there is a loud vacuum cleaner sound who the heck wants to hear that?), but the waves and the rain create good background noise. Does it sound like a real ocean? No, of course not. But I doubt anything does. These two sounds are pleasant and they seem to help shorty sleep. The extra sound card it comes with is worthless, all the sounds are awful. But again, who cares? It's got a few sounds that do the job perfectly, and its the most reasonably priced device out there.

Most negative reviews comment on the lack of battery power. That effectively makes it useless for international travel, unless you travel with a voltage converter. If this is not a concern for you, buy this puppy

I work night shift, and before getting this device, struggled with noise from my kids downstairs. Adding to the craziness is that my 1yo niece is often babysat at my house while I'm trying to sleep. (Not to mention traffic noise, garbage trucks, and other pleasantries of life). I wanted something for "white noise" to drown out those other noises.

I did my shopping. I considered everything from the Marpac devices to the expensive but very interesting EcoTones.

I landed on this unit, and it has exceeded my expectations for its intended use. I can't say that the sounds themselves are all that great, accurate, or even natural sounding. The speaker sure isn't going to win any awards, either. I can't really say the thing transports me to the beach or rainforest. The sounds are really just different frequencies of white noise to me... but that's why I like it so much. Depending on the particular disturbance, I can select a noise that does a really good job of masking it. From baby cries, to kids yelling, to snowthrowers outside and garbage trucks... it seems each sound does a particularly good job at masking certain frequencies. When you find the right one, it's like the noise completely disappears. Really! At first, I'd even turn the unit off for a sec to make sure the sound was still there!

I have a nightstand that's taller than my bed, and I mounted the unit to the side at the same level as my head. Works fantastically. Volume is not an issue at all. I cannot turn it up all the way on any sound without it being too loud (on AC power). The speaker directs the sound out of the back of the unit, so I imagine mounting it to something to reflect the sound works better than having it free-standing with nothing behind it.

I must disagree with the other reviewer that seems to believe the best place to put this would be near the source of the offending sound. You need to put this as close to your head as reasonably possible. I really love the extra-large on/off button on the front. Even the smaller sound-selection buttons at the bottom are a cinch to find and select in the dark. It's very easy to switch it on with minimal thought & effort if an offending noise suddenly rears its ugly head. Then you're back off to la-la land without being totally woken up.

I don't use this everyday, but when I do have the need for it, it really fits the bill. I've had mine now for going on a year and couldn't be happier. Highly recommended if you want to mask other noises. Not so much if you're looking for realistic nature sounds to whisk you off to a far-away place.

I'm going to have to start experimenting with something that dissolves the adhesive before I pull the strip off my nose, as it regularly takes a piece of skin with it, no matter how gently and slowly I remove it. I was looking for an overnight moisturizer and purchased this product based on recommendations from CSR who appeared very knowledgeable about the product line. While the brochure lists this product in the 'Balance combinationskin' section it may be better suited for the 'Nourish dry skin' section. while it truly left the dry areas of my skin velvety soft and moisturized it made my T-zone extra oily and my pores more visible. I will now only relegate its use to my drier areas. Aroma is wonderful. Pricey ($39.50 for 1.7 oz).

I am an AA female and I have been natural for almost two years (no chemicals, dyes, or relaxers). I don't really wrap my hair anymore so I didn't see the need for a bonnet, but now that I have become an hair oil junkie, I needed something to protect my hair at night. This product works well. It's not the sexiest, but if your honey has a fetish for French Pastry chefs perhaps you can pull something off, lol! The base of the bonnet is soft and snug. I don't think it has an elastic band, but it has the right amount of "give" to hug your forehead...without having to wake up with those stupid lines across your head from regular scarves and elastic. It kinda looks like a chef's hat, but less mushroom shaped. The best part is that it STAYS ON! I sleep like a wild banchee and this little sucker hangs in there. It doesn't slide back or up, no more nights of broken sleep, because you feel it slipping off in the middle of the night and keep tugging at it. If you have relaxed hair this is best for set styles (roller sets, twist sets, etc.), It's not really snug enough to secure a wrap, but you could always get a mesh wrap with the velco and use this over it to cover the top of your hair. I can't speak to the anti-breakage conditioner, but I base my hair and scalp with JBCO (Jamaican Black Cator Oil), Jojoba oil, and Almond oil at night (experimenting with stuff) and it absorbs everything pretty well and best of all prevents face leakage (when the oil makes it's way down your hair edges), thus preventing breakout! Buy it!

I'm almost never in the hair section of a store simply because I've got my routine down. However, one night I decided to browse around in a local drugstore and saw this product. I'd been saying that I needed to get satin pillowcases for a couple of years now because scarves simply don't stay on my head when I sleep. I figured why not try this to protect my fragile hair?

I'm a restless sleeper so I was amazed that the bonnet stayed on my head the first night. I tried it again and it was there the next morning. It's been about a month and a half now. It still stays on! It's also quite comfortable. I bought other ones online just so that I'll have them handy to switch out. I used a different one on a trip recently and that stayed on too.

Just a word of warning though. I'm not sure if the sizes are consistent. I bought the same size for the replacement ones, but for the one I used when I traveled it seemed a bit looser. However, as it stayed on, it's not a huge deal.

I'm not sure if the "conditioner" part really means much. Plus, even if there is product in the bonnet, it's going to wear off eventually. For me, it's just nice to have finally found a bonnet that stays on my head while I sleep.

This bonnet works well. It smells great and stayed on all night. I have never owned a bonnet before and I typically use scarves. This is much gentler on my hair style. I am transitioning out of hair weaves and into wearing my natural hair so a good bonnet that stays on and does move my style is great for that. I would recommend it for natural or chemically processed hair.

I have natural hair and finally discovered that my edges would not grow due to to the friction caused by rubbing my hair on the pillowcase while sleeping.

Just wrapping my hair up with a scarf was not cutting it! It would slide back and leave my edges exposed...

Sleepytime Snooz Natural Sleep Aid

After reading the warnings from other reviewers of taste and strength, I was prepared. I bought a single bottle from the local convenience store. About 30min before bedtime, I took my chilled bottle from the fridge and poured half of it into a small tumbler, and filled the tumbler with chilled water. Anticipating a medicine-like experience (it doesn't say tea on the bottle, folks!), I drank the 6oz mixture. It wasn't bad! It actually tasted like a juice product with a short-lived after-taste of medicine. Because it was diluted, it has a pleasant level of sweet and juice flavor. I started feeling a little sleepy within 5 minutes, and I have a half bottle left for next time. Recommended!

This stuff will knock me out in 10 minutes on nights that I can't fall asleep--without that gross groggy feeling that you get from regular sleep aids. I wake up COMPLETELY refreshed when I take one of these.

I alllmooooossst want to knock it down a star for the taste (I've only tried the Lemon Ginger) but this isn't really a beverage, it's a supplement. I repeat: this is a SUPPLEMENT, not a beverage.

Here's the trick for the taste: It tastes pretty good, actually, as long as you're expecting it to taste "herbal", rather than whatever the name of the flavor is. It DEFINITELY does not taste like tea. It doesn't have the weird artificially chemically taste of liquid medicines like cough syrup, which is super nice. And if you don't like the taste? It's only a few oz, just plug your nose ;)

The taste has grown on me after a few bottles--I'm not sure how to describe it, though. If you were to take one of these and GUESS the flavor without looking, "lemon ginger" is not the descriptor I would use. I guess it kind of has that herbally aftertaste that some energy drinks have (irony?)

However, after I got up I had to go back to bed and sleep some more and it is now 11am and I am still feeling sleepy. Well I thought I'd give this a shot because I do try a little bit of everything. I bought it from Walgreens. I thought maybe the previous reviewers were just sensitive to the taste. but THEY WERE RIGHT! no exaggeration...it tastes AWEFUL! It's got the STRONG herbal taste to it. I tried to just down it, thinking I got almost to the end of the bottle. but when I looked, there was still quite a bit left! There was no way I could finish it. I thought of mixing it with water but I was afraid that would make it worse. Needless to say it didnt help me sleep at all. I dont think it's because I didn't finish the bottle because another reviewer claimed they only needed half the bottle. I drank more than half. HORRIBLE!!!
