Nature's Plus - Melatonin Spray, 2 fl oz liquid

This was recommended by my sleep therapist and I thought I'd give it a try. I had been using sublingual tablets before and they worked OK. However, this seems to be much more effective and work faster than the tablets. I found the taste pleasant, not really minty, and not offensive in any way. The trick is to shake the bottle first, then curl up your tongue and spray the underside of it, trying to keep the liquid under your tongue for as long as possible before swallowing.

Its also nice that the bottle is small enough to bring in your carry-on ziplock baggie through TSA.

I have used a number of melatonin products to help with sleep and recommend them for my patients. Melatonin is a natural hormone the helps people enter a deeper sleep mode. It is more abundant in children than adults. Some adults secrete little or no melatonin. Supplementing this hormone can help many people sleep better and overcome jet lag.

This is the product that I use regularly and it works well for me.

It is important to shake the bottle prior to using. The previous reviewer may have missed this point. Of course many products work well for one person and not for another, so trial and error or trial and success are often required.

I usually buy the Source Naturals brand of Melatonin spray, which has an orange taste. Since I always brush my teeth before bed (of course!) and the orange doesn't "go" with minty toothpaste, I thought I'd give this brand a try. While it does have some natural peppermint taste to it, there is an overriding other flavor that I can only describe as yucky. So much so, that it triggers my gag reflex. On top of that, I haven't been sleeping as well since using Nature's Plus Melatonin Spray. Oh well, back to orange flavored Source Naturals, which works great by the way.

Yeah, My review for this product might seem to good to be true. No I am not a paid reviewer. I am a psychotherapist. My wife, I and several friends use this as well as the main clients to whom I recommend it.

It works. It tastes good. It is not at all like pill or liquid melatonin. I believe (but am not totally positive) that the other spray melatonin products are an attempt to get a share of this product's market. Lipo-something is supposed to make it different. The others don't have that. This product works.
