It is small and light and very portable, and works well. We have the plug in version at home and love it and this is a good travel substitute. It's about the size of a dinner roll. However, I think ours may be defective, but it won't turn off completely, just down to very low volume, so it burns through batteries in one day so you hvae to keep pulling the batteries out every time you want to turn it off. I am going to bring it back to the store i bought it and try to exchange it for a new one.

I love this thing. It is a little smaller than a double fist and is REALLY loud, I use it to drown out background noise while I am studying. Only the white noise setting is really all that good, though, the others are more annoying than anything else. The thing is it does eat batteries a little. I.e. You need to replace the batteries every couple weeks. but I still love it!

Fist of all, you can get this at Target from half the price of this seller. Second of all, at half the price, it's still not worth the $$. The sounds are HORRIBLE--the ocean has these random screeching gull sounds, the rain and the white noise are the same static-y fuzz, and the heart beat is like a loud clock ticking. I bought it on a pinch the night before a week long trip when my other homedics machine quit working (the big one that plugs in), and my target store didn't have the bigger option. This little guy got us through the trip, but I had to change the batteries every other day!! (Used for 8 hrs over night and for about 3 hrs of naps each day). DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT--and homedics, you need to revamp this little thing.

I have the larger, plug-in version of this and love it. My husband and I use it every night. I got this one to use just during my baby's naps, so no more than 1-2 hours per day, and not even every day. Still, the batteries drain after maybe 5-6 uses. I picked this one up at a store for less than they're charging on here, but the cost for constantly replacing the batteries makes it not worth it. I can't even recommend it for this reason. Obviously, it wouldn't be good for use for lengthy periods of time, but it's not even good for short durations!
