I recently had the opportunity to Jergens® Ultra Healing® Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer and Jergens® Overnight Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer, compliments of a sample form Viewpoints. My experience was brief (it was only a small sample packet), but I'll share my initial thoughts...

Jergens® Overnight Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer is specifically for nighttime use, locking in moisture while you sleep so you will wake up with soft and rejuvenated skin. It is made with a blend of antioxidant vitamins and pure evening primrose extract. The company recommends that you massage the lotion over entire body before going to bed.

I applied the nighttime lotion immediately after my nightly shower and the daytime lotion right after waking up. My first thought was of how good it smelled. The smell was subtle, and had a nice fresh scent. The feel of the lotion was really nice too. Not heavy or greasy, like some lotions. It absorbed very quickly so there was no sticky feeling after using it. I generally have sensitive skin when it comes to lotions, but this one didn't irritate my skin at all.

My skin felt really good, although I only had enough lotion for two days (2 nights and 2 days). I don't feel like I could make an accurate estimation of the long-term effects of using this lotion regularly based on two days of use. I will say, however, that for the two days I used it, my skin felt well moisturized! I think it would be a cool idea for them to put both lotions in a single bottle that is split into two sections. Buying two big pump bottles of lotion seems like it would take up a lot of space!

I am not a regular lotion user, as I generally only think to use it when my skin is feeling dry. The Overnight Repair lotion claims to repair a week's worth of dry/damaged skin in one night, which would probably be beneficial to someone like me. If you're looking for a new lotion to try, I recommend this one. Although I can't attest to its long-term efficacy, it has a nice light scent and a non-greasy feel that I think most people would enjoy.

Tried it on the toughest spot my feet and it's true, after just one night there was a very visible and feel-able improvement in the dry, cracked, calloused skin, especially my heels. NOTHING works like that! It does great on hands, legs, knees, etc., but many things can do that -the improvement to my feet is remarkable and made me a true believer. The only negative is that it's a little too strongly scented for me, with a perfumey-type smell -the daytime 'Ultra' version is so much worse (like cheap perfume) that I can't even use it. Wish they'd make an unscented or maybe just a lighter, cleaner-scented version of the nighttime stuff.

I live in a climate that is cold and windy during the long winter months. As a result, I often suffer from very dry skin. Although I use Jergen's original formula lotion for everyday use, this Overnight Repair product is perfect for extra-dry skin. I slather it on my legs and heels when they're feeling particularly dry.

This is a thick, creamy lotion that goes on easily but doesn't leave a nasty greasy residue. The scent is subtle and pleasant; it's much better than the cloying scents of many other lotions. I can't speak to skin irritation, as mine is not ultra sensitive, but I know others with sensitive skin who use this product without problems.

This lotion keeps my skin feeling soft and looking beautiful, year-round. I don't necessarily use it every day, but it's perfect for use after particularly dry or windy days that leave my skin chapped and dry.
