Zzzquil does NOT cause drowsiness! It is useless--totally useless as a sleep aid.

If I could give it 1/10th of a star I would do so. As it is, the lowest I could give it was one star. One star is an over-rate of this useless product.

Total waste of money. The Nyquil will make me sleep but that Zzzquil was USELESS! I called the company and complained and the woman with whom I spoke promised to send some kind of kit that would allow me to get a full refund (less taxes). This was more than three weeks ago, however, she lied by promising it would be out in two weeks. I have yet to get this so-called kit for applying for a refund.

I was awake all night long after taking this medication. Let me explain that I have insomnia so it's not strange for me to be awake all night, but I sure didn't expect to be up all night after taking a product that claimed to help with sleep problems.

Save your money and the danger of any possible side effects. It's not worth having side effects and still not get any sleep from taking the medication. This product needs to be taken off the market. It's a scam and scheme that doesn't work, and the cost of Zzzquil is not cheap either!

So I read many of the reviews under the 48-count product and they were all similar, in that they say this doesn't work at all. I don't know why, but it did for me. Maybe because I'm on the petite side and the active ingredient hit me harder? Who knows. All I can say is that I took it at 9:45pm, it hit me like a ton of bricks about an hour later, I woke up at midnight feeling super restless but exhausted (like I was sleepwalking). Had a glass of water, fell right back into a deep deep sleep and didn't wake up again until my alarm.

So, in a sense, it worked, because I didn't have the all night restlessness that I've been having lately. You know, where you feel like you're awake but your eyes are closed, and thoughts are just streaming in your head all night. Awful. So it accomplished the deep sleep part.

BUT to be fully warned, the next morning, I felt super groggy like I couldn't fully shake the sleep off, even after a shower and strong cup of coffee. And I felt kind of disoriented, like I was just shaking up from sleep, all morning. So perhaps I need to take it earlier in the night or just take it over the weekend instead.

So four stars because the pills workedI fell asleep. One star off because the after effects are pretty significant for me at least.

Having insomnia for MANY years now. I can tell you honestly what works and doesn't. And this is clearly NO DIFFERENT than taking Benadryl which also contains Diphenhydramine. Don't be gullible folks and fall for this "false marketing" as some new "revolutionary" sleep-aid. The only plus i can give this, thus my one star rating would be it comes in a liquid form for those who have difficulty swallowing pills. Otherwise don't waste your hard earned money on this crap...(g)

I think zzzquil is a great product, I take it about an hour before I go to bed and I fall asleep quickly. I've had no side effects, I 'm taking zzzquill for about 4 months because I was having trouble falling asleep, this has been a find for me. They are not addictive.
