I would highly recommend this as a relaxation / sleep aid. And since it has a cooling effect when consumed, it could be the perfect summer supplement. Catnip is also supposed to enhance your dreams or make them more lucid, according to Rosemary Ann Guiley. It seems that I remember more of mine when taking this herb. Also catnip oil is a good mosquito repellent -but I don't know if it would have the same effect in this form. Still if that's a possible collateral benefit, why not give it a try? After all, some take Vitamin B6 for the same purpose. This herb is also easy to grow and attracts butterflies. I don't understand why more alternative health books don't mention it, as it is a great traditional remedy. It's also packed with a lot of surprising nutrients (like magnesium) and even acetic acid. So that may help your digestion. I find that these capsules work better for me than the tea. So give it a try some night and who knows what dreams may come!

I have for years been with catnip in my diet, as tea, capsule (which often I open and put in tea, on rice, or anything, or straight), and this natures way is very very good. I have also had the Solary brand, which I think they mix with something, but do not tell. This Natures Way seems to be more whole and trustworthy. If I have gas (I drink soda), it calms my stomach and gets it out (haha). Who likes to be bloated? It seems to aid digestion, as well as help me ala sleep. I always keep catnip around. (Leo). My kitties young and old, though, do not respond to it, only the leave catnip, (I get that at a pet shop or amazon, then they go crazy and purr.) This I beleave is grounded for human consumption, and works very well.

I must say, this is the best $6 I've spent on a supplement in a very long time. It is calming and soothing, both for your mind and your body. I am very pleased with this catnip herb.
