I had purchased the same sleep mask locally in the past but couldn't find it any longer. So, Amazon to the rescue or not? Well in theory it is the same soft bamboo mask, but the elastic that goes around the head is different and less comfortable. My first mask had two elastic narrow bands. This has one tighter band that is uncomfortable to wear through the night. It will need to be stretched out or lengthened. Unfortunately, I could not see the elastic band on the Amazon picture. If I had, I would probably not have ordered it. Not quite the same.

This is the best sleep mask I have tried! It is soft, and blocks the light very well. I have had two so far, and I have never had a problem with the elastic band being too tight. The most recent band Ecotools uses on these masks is completely adjustable.

This is by far the best sleep mask that I have ever owned! I am a very sensitive sleeper and am easily awakened by light. All the sleep masks that I have tried in the past allowed light to come through around the nose area. This one forms to my face better and completely blocks out the light. I find it to be a soft and very comfortable material. It is quite different from satin though. As for the tightness of the band, I have one with an adjustable band and have no problems with it being too tight. I am finally able to get a good night sleep with this mask.

This is the first sleep mask I've had that is completely washable. You cannot throw your silk/satin masks in the laundry, but you can with this bamboo mask. I've used 2 of these so far. I have a larger than average female head, so I was worried that it would be too tight, as some reviews have said. However, with the velcro adjustment all the way out to the end it worked. And they were smart enough to put the 'sticky' side of the velcro facing out, not toward your hair. Elastic will, of course, stretch out over time, so I could keep adjusting it a little tighter as it stretched. I think this, and the washability, are what allow me to wear these masks for over a year each. I'm here today to order my 3rd Ecotools sleep mask. At this price, I have no problem at all replacing the mask each year.

One of the reviewers stated that the mask was scratchy. I have not experienced that at all with 2 masks now. I've found them to be very soft, like a well worn terry cloth might feel. There is a single wide strap, but unlike other masks I've used, this elastic does not bother my ears. Maybe because it's wider than some. Also, I sleep with a CPAP machine, so the headgear on that helps my mask stay in exactly the place I put it when I go to sleep.

For those like me who cannot abide scented products, there is none on this mask. Thank you Ecotools!

The only thing that would have made me give this a 5 star rating would be if it had the little 'pillows' at the bottom that help make sure no light peeks in. But the mask itself is so soft that it seems to mold to my face with no problem. I love these and will continue to use them.

My husband is a light sleeper, and I introduced him to my sleep mask a few years ago. It's made a great difference. Some masks have too much padding, though, causing him to sweat more when he sleeps. This mask is a great combination of light blocking and breathability. He's very pleased with it, and I'll be ordering him another.
