I don't live giving five stars, but this is a really awesome product. I worked for the company which distributed this when it first came to the US in 2007 and my co-workers made me try it out on my first day. It's a little strong the first time, so go easy and use a rolled up towel under your neck if it is too long for you when you start.
Not to be used if you have extreme spinal problems, and again go slowly.
From a non-professional opinion it basically stretches out your spine (same as how you get taller after a good night's sleep), back to where it should be. You can feel if the left or right side is out of wack and the stretching helps align both sides. You'll feel like you just got a great chiropractice adjustment.
It also opens the chest (good for when you've had a stressful day and that area gets tight).
Again the first time it can feel quite strong, so be careful, go slow and always be extra cautious when getting up. Start with a short period of time and work your way up to longer periods probably not exceeding ten minutes (1-2 minutes to start).
I keep one in the office so that everyone can use it whenever the need to during the work day.
These wooden products rock.

This product is great after a stressful morning/afternoon/evening/DAY. When you lie down on it, your whole upper back cracks beautifully back into alignment and your chest, neck and shoulders automatically feel so much lighter. A lot of us are walking around with our shoulders hunched over from stress or just being tired. Spending five to ten minutes on this and doing some gentle breathing exercises really corrects that hunched-over, cramped, stuffy feeling in the chest and over time, I have noticed that it has visibly improved my posture.I haven't found anything else that really stretches the back this way. Plus it's a great way to stretch without exerting too much energy. You get to just lie down and the pillow basically does the stretching for you!
