Mack's Ear Care Slim Fit Soft Foam Earplugs, 50 Count

Mack's Ear Care Slim Fit Soft Foam Earplugs, 50 CountI love these earplugs. I must have smaller ear canals or something because the generic ear plugs tend to hurt my ears after continuous wear. These are slim and provide maximum comfort without feeling like your stretching out your ear canals. It's a great deal as well and I usually wear mine for a couple of nights before throwig them out. It'll block out most noise -like talking and street noise, but the decibels for vibrations, such as, say, someone jumping in the room next you to, you'll still be able to hear the thuds. Overall, a great purchase as my roommates are loud and now I can generally only hear door slamming but not conversations.

Macks makes the best ear plugs, hands down. And I'm a small person, so these work great. I've learned that if I open my jaw while putting them it, I get a better seal. Cheers!

I am a very light sleeper. I've tried sleeping with earplugs in before, but my ears always hurt the next morning because it felt like I had to cram them into my canal. These are slightly smaller, so they fit comfortably in my ears while still blocking out noise. Even better, they block out almost all sound, but not quite everything, so I still wake up to my alarm in the morning. WIN!

I've always found "one-size-fits-all" earplugs too big for me, often to the point of causing pain. These fit fine and I actually get better noise reduction because unlike with most plugs, I can put these in properly.

I've been using ear plugs now for about 7 years, and it has helped me sleep sound. I've never had a problem with any ear plug, until now.

At first I bought the mack's slim fit ear plugs because I sometimes feel discomfort with the normal fit. When I tried them, I found I could still hear pretty much everything. I gave some to my mother and my sister because they have slimmer ears than I do, and they too could hear everything. I assumed that we just didn't have narrow-enough ears for the seal to be effective. So I ordered the ultra soft regular fit.

It turns out that Mack's ear plugs are just bad. They don't work. Usually I get near total sound blockage when I gently put an ear plug half way into my ear. With Mack's I experience some blockage only when I insert the ear plug fully into my ear (so far in, that it's hard to grab when I'm trying to take it out).

Do not buy these. They're extremely disappointing. I'm not a doctor, but I would say you would have to insert the Mack's dangerously deep into your ear for them to be effective, but even then they work only half as well as any other brand on the market.

I really didn't think that any one brand was better than another when it came to ear plugs, but Mack's has taught me that it is possible to create a foam ear plug that doesn't work.
