I have been a thorough believer in the use of Buckwheat honey over cough medicines for a long time with my two young children. I have read study after study about how OTC cough medicines don't work on children. Then even had a local child pass away because his organs stopped being able to process the OTC cough medicine right about the time that the government started issuing statements to stop using them. The problem with Buckwheat Honey is (1) it is not readily available and only the local health food store carried it. (2) it is super thick and after a while the jar crystallizes and you have to heat it up to be able to spoon any out. (3) it is super thick and is not "sweet" like normal honey. It is more like molasses. Not all kids like it. One child gags when taking it while the other is happy with it. I found this product and it worked almost as well as the straight stuff. And better then the straight stuff when your child just gags on the other and won't take it at all but takes this happily! My daughter gets a dry, post nasal cough while sleeping frequently due to allergies of some sort. She won't stop at night... water won't help, cough meds didn't help, honey did! And once again this medicine worked for her! Coughed for 10 straight minutes... tried water first... kept coughing... gave medicine and two minutes later there was one more cough... then nothing. Yeah! Highly recommend!Read Best Reviews of Zarbees All Natural Childrens Cough Syrup Cherry Here
