These work amazingly for me! (I bought two.) At first, they really bugged my big toes, but I kept altering how tight I did one strap or the other until I found the right combination. I think it's really important that the packaging says that you don't need to have them too tight to be effective. Mine are not very tight at all. It took me several tries to be willing to get to what works. It is much looser than I would have imagined, and the ankle strap seems to have a more important role than I would have thought. Mine got better for me when I loosened that. The package says that you can go to the bathroom in the night if you need to, you're just not supposed to wear them all evening when walking around the house. I was thinking that they were working, but hadn't thought about it too much, then one night, after a few glasses of wine, I just went to bed without putting them on. The next morning I was super hobbled and walking all slowly and stooped as I used to do. That's when I remembered that that used to be a common morning routine and realized that the thingies were DEFINITELY working. Don't be too dismayed by the negative reviews. I too was not impressed at the beginning, but I kept reworking them. I suggest the same until you find how they can be best for you. Not too tight is key!!!!!
I have women's size 10.5 feet, fairly narrow. This product was very uncomfortable. The bottom (sole) is completely flexible, & the toe strap thus just jams the tips of your toes into your feet. If the sole were a solid material & there were two toe straps (left & right, with the center space open for toe movement) that would actually pull the sole up from the joints at the ball of the foot I think it'd be effective. As is, it was uncomfortable & was unhealthy for my toes/toenails. I switched to a product that straps to the top/front of your foot/shin; that one works well and is very comfortable.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and my plantar fasciitis is improving, so I guess it works. Make sure you read the instructions, you don't have to wear it so tight your toes go numb. It is comfortable enough to sleep in and lightweight enough to roll over in bed. The instructions say not to walk in it, so I'd like to know what they suggest for when you have to go to the restroom in the middle of the night. I can't take it off without waking my husband (the velcro is loud when removing the support). I wonder if one of the cast-type night supports would be better for someone who gets up a lot at night?

I wear a Ladies size 8, this product is supposed to fit all sizes, it is soooooo big it will barely stay on my foot, needless to say , it does nothing for my foot problem.
