This unit has two speakers, so if you lay your head on the middle you can move your head from side to side to get comofortable yet still hear. It works great,but the cord is too short for comfort. If the radio is on a night stand you have to be close to the edge of the bed to use it the way it was designed. The cord should be at least another 12 inches to be comfortable.

The price is good, the item seems well made and durable and the volume is OK. They are very clear, but I wish there was a little more bass for better fidelity.

i bought these for my parents for Christmas this year who both told me they were the 'best present ever' as they both like to listen to the radio at night but dont want to hear each others stations. Would totally recommend!!!

The design is good. It's soft and flexible enough to bend with the pillow and my head. There are two hard lumps where the speakers are, but they're very thin and don't protrude. The only design drawback is the cord, which is rather short. I have to keep my player on the bed rather than on the night stand. I bought an extension cord, but I abandoned it and prefer to keep the player by my pillow so I can easily control it.

At first I tried to put the speaker underneath the pillow, but the down stuffing in the pillow muffles the volume a lot and requires me to turn the volume all the way up on my phone. This would be the case for any small speaker I put under that pillow. Since I sleep alone, I was able to prop the speaker unit up against the headboard directly behind my pillow.

I use it for audiobooks and the midrange frequencies are clear and the voice easy to hear. I haven't tried it with music, but I doubt it would have any noticable bass unless it was almost touching my ear. I think it's soft enough that some people could sleep on it if it were over the top of the pillow.

If you want a soft, flexible speaker that can survive being slept on, this is a good choice.
