I bought this because my foam mattress is uncomfortably hot, especially in the summer. The foam bump pattern really doesn't make much difference in temperature although it is reasonably comfortable to sleep on. If you want to make a standard mattress more comfortable, this may be of help. But if you want to cool down a foam mattress, don't buy it.
