I am a physician and I have always had a problem falling asleep, and staying asleep. I have tried different Melatonin products a half a dozen times in the past and none have been helpful. But this one works! My guess, as to why it works and the others haven't, is because of the combined effect of the Melatonin and the Theanine together.

PS If it doesn't seem to work ask your personal physician if it would be safe for you to take two at bedtime, and possibly to also take a Motrin or Tylenol tablet at the same time.

PSS: This medication has also had another interesting side effect on me. And that is, that it decreases my desire to smoke. My guess is that, since I am getting a better night's sleep, I don't need the neuro-sedative effect of the nicotine. But I am only a surgeon, a good family doctor or internist should be able to explain that positive side effect better than I .

Nothing I've tried has helped me sleep like this product. It's all natural and doesn't contain alcohol (like a liquid melatonin I've tried) or any other additive that actually hinders its potency. I take it and with in a half hour it feels like I am passed out and sleeping like a baby. I couldn't be more pleased. Sleep has always been an issue for me and I find that I only have to use this product one or two days before I can fall asleep on my own and then when the occasion arises where I need help sleeping again I take one and i'm golden. I love it and I will continue to use this product and I am grateful that I did not have to turn to narcotics (per Dr's orders) to regulate my sleep. This product works ok but doesn't work as well as other less expensive brands. Upside is you don't feel groggy like the other brands in the morning. Downside it's harder to get and stay asleep. Also the taste was kind of artifical tasting. Id prefer natural orange or lemon. The strawberry taste was a bit odd at best. Personally i will look for another brand.
