My little guy never slept for more than 2 hours at a time before the Tucker sling. He would reflux in his sleep and wake up screaming. It was a nightmare for the first 8 weeks of his life. I tried putting a wedge under his mattress to elevate him but he would just slide down. Then I found out about the Tucker sling and everything changed. I bought the wedge and sling from the actual tucker sling website. From the first time I put him in the sling at about 2 months old, he slept for 4 hours (which was a miracle). And every night after that, he slept longer and longer. when he was about 4 months old, we had to buy another sling in a larger size and I opted for the kind that slips over the crib mattress (I thought this would give him extra room) and I just put the wedge under the crib mattress to elevate it. Worked like a charm. Finally at about 5 months old, i was able to put him to sleep normally in his crib.Note: the wedge also works in a pack n play so I always took it to my parents' house with no problem.
The only issue I ever had was when I had to put my baby back in the sling after nursing in the middle of the night. He would always fall asleep nursing and it was hard to get him back in the sling without waking him up. I would always have to adjust the velcro and it would make a loud sound. But there's really no solution to that and my baby would go right back to sleep anyways.
I'm expecting again now and I will definitely use the sling again with my new baby if he has reflux too.
1. Yes you can swaddle. I searched all over to figure that out before I bought it but didn't really find much info on that. We use the summer infant swaddlers but it would work with a square blanket too. We leave the swaddler in the crib under the harness thing. Then we put the baby on top of both of them, harness her in and then swaddle her. I wish I could swaddle her before putting her in the crib but we have managed to do some wind down as we put her in the crib.
2. Your baby is stuck to the matress! If you need to get you baby out of bed in the middle of the night you either have to unvelcro them (which is very loud and will wake them up more) or what we usually do is scoot her up to create slack and then slide the entire tucker sling and mattress cover off. It is a bit awkward so I don't do it often but it is much easier and less disturbing than unvelcroing.
3. I ordered through the companies website because the description for this on Amazon is confusing and their product support folks couldn't help me. If you notice the link in the search page says the product is for a crib mattress but then when you click on the details the product description says it is for an incubator. I didn't want to get the wrong product so I ordered from the tucker website. Also, this one is flannel and the one I got is quilted which will be much better in the hot summers.
4. I am really curious how this will work when babies start to roll. I think they will just get tangled in it and frustrated and then we will have to lower the mattress and hope that the reflux is better. My daughter is 3 months old and we have had it for about 2 months now. We'll see what happens over the next few months and I will try to update this review.
5. We do use it on a pack and play as well as the crib. It is obviously too big for the thin pack and play mattress but it still hooks on securly. It is a little too long so our daughter can touch the bottom of the pack and play and bangs her feet on it sometimes.
Overall this is a great product that I would highly recommend to anyone whose baby has reflux. Oh, and we didn't get the wedge we use pillows and blankets under the crib matress to prop it up.

I was recommended the wedge and sling for my son who had mild reflux and it was a life saver. Once he was up on the sling he was able to sleep better at night and became a happy baby. The wedge is light and props up the mattress wonderfully and the sling does its job to keep the baby from sliding down. Only issue I had with the sling is the top became stained from my son spitting up formula on it and it couldn't be removed. Also after 4 months of constant use it started to tear but my son was also at the max weight limit for his size so that could be part of the reason. This is the best baby product i have ever purchased. Totally worth every penny. It prevents the child from sliding down the bed when they roll or when their head is elevated. I am ordering another one and will buy it over and over again. I will recommend this product to anyone.
