Gro-Egg Color Changing Digital Room Thermometer, White
This is a nice idea my wife and I really liked the concept and the styling of the Gro-Egg for our newborn's nursery. The problem is that the egg does not really work as intended. I have found the temperature displayed is consistenly wrong, usually 3 or 4 degress high. Just yesterday I saw the temp the jumping back and forth once per second between 73 and 77 degrees. An independent check of the room temp with another thermometer showed the room was 71 degrees. Since monitoring temperature is really the whole point, and this does not do it accurately or reliably, it is really not worth taking a chance on. We tossed the package but will attempt to return anyway.
Keep in mind that regardless of what your heating thermostat registers, room temperatures can vary (e.g. one room is draftier than another, so the temperature is cooler in that room). Therefore you cannot test the accuracy of this unit by placing it in a different location from your heating thermostat. Likewise, even if it is warm in your living room, your child's room could be cooler.
There are more accurate room thermometers (see, for example the Chaney AcuRite, which is sold on Amazon and costs less than half of what this product costs), but they will not add to the decor of a child's room, can be difficult to read in the dark (like the Chaney AcuRite), and cannot be read from a distance with a quick glance like you can with this product.
Bottom line: This looks nice and will give you a "ball park" idea of the room temperature, which may be all that you need. For greater accuracy buy something else.

The gro-egg is a gorgeous product and I was very excited about having it tell the temperature. However, it was measuring the house at 77 degrees farenheit when I knew the house was closer to 70 (based on the thermostat and independent temperature measures). I read the manual and it says it has sensitive electronics that taking warming up. After troubleshooting, it still gave an inaccurate measure.Basically, this functions as a red nightlight that just makes me worry. Waste of $30.

I loved the idea of this thing. Unfortunately I ended up returning three separate ones before getting a different thermometer. They are nowhere near accurate. The first one read 71 degrees in a room that was 85 degrees. The second said 79 no matter what temperature the room actually was. This is a cool thermometer, looks good, novel ideal. However, I found it was not very sensitive to temp. changes in the room. It depends on where you place the egg. It doesn't always reflect the true room temperature.

I've always been hesitant to try something different for sleep. I've been taking a generic brand of otc sleeping pills for years and besides feeling a bit "slow" upon waking, they've been doing the job in putting to sleep quickly. I figured I can't take these forever so I looked into an alternate choice that might be more natural and safer...I came across Melatonin and 5-HTP Bulk Powder 10 Grams (5-HTP works great with Melatonin). What I would do first is cut a pill in half for your first night. You might be sensitive! You should be able to wake up with no problem with your alarm clock and without feeling groggy. Slowly up the dose if you need more but I would suggest not going over 9mg. Always remember, if you don't need it, don't take it! This is a sleep aid for days/nights you are restless. I've used Melatonin daily for 8 years! Excessive, obviously, but no side effects apart from probably being somewhat addicted to it. But is it bad to be addicted to a good thing?Anyway, this particual product does NOTHING for me. It's as if it is placebo?! Shrug. I've used "Flents Quiet! Please" earplugs for years. I've tried others occasionally but these are the only ones I've found that actually block out the noise like they promise. When stores stopped carrying them I found them here (thank God). I first ordered the 50-pair container, and when that ran out I ordered the 200 pair box. When they arrived I was a little nervous to see they don't look like the ones I used to buy; these are orange and slightly smaller than the cream-colored ones they used to carry in stores and in the smaller packages online. No matter! They work just as well as ever. In fact, these work better. I can wear them several nights in a row before they start losing their expand-memory. Very comfortable. Blessed stillness and yet you can still hear important things like the phone and smoke alarm :-)After trying other brands that Say they block out sound but Don't, I cannot recommend "Flents Quiet! Please" enough. And of course, the larger the amount you buy, the more you save. Amazon price is miles and miles cheaper than retail. And because you can use the same plugs several times over, that's even more savings!
These, however, are absolutely not up to snuff compared to the creme plugs, and don't even touch the quality of the purple plugs. These plugs expand too fast to insert into your ear with any success. They also are slightly irritating to the ear after more than 8 hours of sleep. I move around in my sleep quite a bit, and these fall out probably twice a week.
While I won't be purchasing these particular earplugs again, I also won't be throwing out the box.

Unlike other reviewers, I did not find these the same as the white,cylinder shaped Quiet Please. The foam is different...more porous. I've been using the white ones for many years...I actually updated my Amazon review because the quality of the white ones (that come in the 50pr container) seemed to have changed over the last couple years...still as effective, but they don't thru as many wearings. I decided to try these (the 200 pk) because they are a major saving. I tried them for one night, sleeping with my windows open (I live in a noisy neighborhood). They were not as effective at blocking out street noise as the whites. Fortunately, Amazon allowed a return the next day (I bought 2X50 of the white ones at the greater cost instead).Don't get me wrong...I'm still giving them 4 stars because they work better and are more comfortable than the other plastic, bullet ones called 'Quiet Time'. In fact these (the hexagonals) might be better in some respects because the white cynanders make you almost too deaf (I don't wear them if I am alone).I have been using the Flents Quiet Please earplugs for a number of years now to deal with snoring. The texture, density and 'squishiness' of these is far superior in both comfort and noise-blocking to any of the others I have tried.
Now, a note about the 200-count box. This is the kind of box you might expect to see at a jobsite. It is a large cardboard box (like a large shoebox) full of individually-plastic-wrapped pairs of plugs. These have a hexagonal cross-section and are not exactly the same as the white Quiet Please plugs that you get in the 50-count containers. However, they work just as well.
The fact that each pair of plugs is individually wrapped is a bit tiresome at bedtime, and the large box doesn't really go with my nightstand, but other than that they are an excellent product.The plug go in easy and stay in! They block out more sound than any others I've ever tried!

I've been using this product to help me combat wrinkles I've developed especially around my eyes and forehead. I know it's a little feminine but I pride myself in my skin's appearance so I try to keep it as well off as possible. This smells like honey which is pretty gender neutral compared to a lot of other options on the market. In about 3 weeks I noticed a reduction in the definition of lines of my face. It's good to stick with a formula that works best for you so if one or the other with the toner is best, I suggest going that direction, but I'm having great luck using all 3 together. None of them dry my skin out, which is especially surprising with the toner aspect so I'm thrilled. My bags under the eyes are almost invisible and the lines around my eyes and forehead are about half as pronounced!

I love this product. I've been using it for 2 weeks in conjunction with the skin blemish cream and both have been great. Before I started using this, my combination skin looked dull and lines on my forehead were more prominent than ever (I'm 30 and not ready for this). Now my skin looks plump and polished. OK, so I've only had this for one day, but I LOVE IT!I didn't get this as a night time face cream, but rather to test out on my eczema. I'm testing it by rubbing this only on certain spots, and my regular lotion on other spots. So far, it is performing better than my regular, go-to lotion so 5 thumbs up!
I will update the stars and comments if it doesn't continue to perform, but for now I'm sooo pleased that I had to leave a comment.
UPDATE 1/27:
So after ten days, I'm still loving this cream! All eczema spots calm, no itching, no bumps! Aaahhhh. Wonderful!!

I have been using this for about 2 weeks as a night cream. i had only tried moisturizer at night a few times, because my face breaks out easily. also, most products have cheaped out and use mineral oil. this does what it sez, it has made me skin look smooth, soft and not cleared pores, but not clogged. i believe the antibacterial prop of the honey must be the reason. i also use it as eye cream during the day. it feels good, absorbs well and skin looks good in the morning, even combination skin. i will keep using this.
