I tried Amera several years ago at a home party. It is the only product out of the many I've tried that really gives my nails a salon look. My cuticles are soft and smooth. The product is rich and emolient and really moisturizes the cuticle bed. Its a good silk scarf. Smells nice fresh out of the package and has helped with protecting my hair while sleeping. I have long, fine hair that tends to get dry. Only recently have I been really committed to keeping my hair healthy; I want to try growing my hair out really long! I use frequent deep conditioners, leave-in treatments and try to use heat-stylers as infrequently as possible. Not gonna lie, this product got my attention because of Evangeline Lily (I'm a big Lostie!) I thought I'd give the shampoo and conditioner a try, and they were ok, but not the best. THIS, however! If you are trying to give your hair a big boost of moisture and health, do yourself a favor and give the overnight treatment a try. Here were the best things I noticed about it:

1. My ends felt so soft and healthy after one night that I changed my mind about needing to go for a haircut. If you're trying to grow out your hair, you want to get as few cuts as possible, right? Here you goadd a few months of growing between cuts.

2. My hair actually felt heavier, even after washing and drying the next day. I could literally tell the difference in moisture absorbed by weight! It meant a noticeable difference in flyaways, and my fine hair still felt styled hours after I was done drying it.

3. I was very skeptical about how a product this intense wouldn't feel oily, but it really doesn't. I put the product in my hair a few hours before bed, but it was totally absorbed in minutesa little bit of a "gunked up" feeling while the product was actually on, but not oily. I just put my hair in a braid to keep it out of the way, and to not feel 'unbathed.'

I will say that you'll probably need more than the recommended 1-2 pumps. My hair is long enough that I can tuck it under my arms, and I use between 6-8 pumps. Otherwise, nothing but good to say about this awesome product! Enjoy your new hair!

I admit I purchased this product to try out and didn't have super high expectations despite the reviews. I tried it the first night expecting that it would be greasy, leave residue on my pillow, make me uncomfortable while I slept and then disappoint me in the morning. Boy! Was I in for a NICE surprise! My hair is processed and was very dry so I ended up using four pumps because the first two just seemed to get sucked into my hair that quick. My hair DID NOT feel oily or greasy at all which really surprised me. The product had a pleasant coconut fragrance which is one of my favorites. I slept like a baby and there was no residue on my pillow. The next day my hair felt so silky. It made the biggest single difference of any product I have used in years besides my "It's A 10-miracle leave in product" which I use to mitigate heat damage while styling my hair. I think L'Oreal has another really BIG WINNER with their EverStrong Overnight Treatment. An added benefit: I didn't rinse my hands after applying the overnight product. Instead, I rubbed it in like a hand lotion and went to bed. My hands felt nice and soft too and were not the least bit greasy.

I purchased and started using this approximately 3 weeks ago. I apply it every night before going to bed. The results have been spectacular. I had a bad hair dye incident a few months ago which resulted in lots of split ends and breakage. After using this product I find that I have less split ends and my hair is a lot smoother. Also, a lot less breakage. Although this is somewhat pricey for its size, I will definitely purchase this again.

I have long, fine hair that was once very thick. Due to improper hair care, and bad hair habits I tend to "shed" a lot. I purchased this product hoping it would help with the split ends I have because of over use with heated styling tools. Although it has not helped my split ends, it has made my hair look very shiny and munch more manageable in the mornings. Additionally my hair is shedding less.

I have a VERY difficult time working this through my hair to get an even application on split ends and damaged hair. The product tends to glob and concentrate in certain sections, which does not allow for easy or even treatment of the effected areas.

I was a classic too-manly-for-hair-care male until I recently resolved (out of either vanity or self-respect, or maybe both) to start attending more carefully to my health/appearance/grooming. Hair is, of course, at the front line of that battle, so I interrogated some professional hair people and did some Internet browsing and learned that hair care is only partly a matter of what products you use. Healthy hair is also the result of things like drinking water and eating right and avoiding excessive sun or heat. Hair is, in fact, the most reliable indicator of whether a person is healthy. (See the Wikipedia page on "hair care," for starters.) And I learned that when it comes to hair products, I should look for ones that say "hydrating." (This as opposed to "moisturizing," which merely gives the appearance of hydration.) That's because hydrated hair is pretty much what healthy hair *is.*

I then spent a decent (if not ridiculous) amount of time browsing Amazon's hydrating hair products and reading the reviews, and then I experimented with 5 different, relatively inexpensive products.

The bottom line is that none of the 5 products are magical but I have noticed a mild to moderate improvement in shine, darkness, and thickness. (If you have recommendations for a near-magical product, I'm counting on you to let me know.) Given what I've seen from the different products, I will probably settle into a routine of using a small amount of the Frieda shampoo and conditioner daily, and then using an overnight treatment maybe once a month (but probably not this one).

That doesn't mean I recommend (or don't) any of these products for you. Another thing I learned while researching hair is that we are all unique little flowers with very different filaments on our noggins that respond differently to different things. So rather than recommending a particular product, I recommend that you do some trials and see what works for you.

Below is a detailed review of each product.

* L'Oreal EverStrong Overnight Treatment (My rating: 2.5 stars) (Current price: $1.76/ounce) I have only used it a few times but haven't noticed anything magical. You apply it to dry hair at night, work it through the ends, and then sleep with your hair in a mildly goopy state. I didn't check carefully, but I would be surprised if your hair doesn't leave a mark on your pillowcase. And it takes a lot of goop, even for a guy with reasonably short hair like me. Maybe it would be worth it if it gave my hair a brilliant luster or thickness, but it doesn't seem to do much at all, at least not above what the shampoo and conditioner are already doing. I am unlikely to get it again.

* John Frieda Frizz-Ease Shampoo (4.3 stars) ($0.60/ounce) It works noticeably better than my old shampoo (Aussie Smooth). With this shampoo, my hair stays wet after a shower about 40% longer and it retains a subtle moisture all day. After a shower, when I comb my wet hair, I can hardly even feel it because there is so little resistance against the comb. In other words, my hair becomes a weird combination of wet and airy. The shampoo seems to work best when I leave it in for a minute or two before rinsing. I only need to use about a nickel-sized amount (I have medium-to-shaggy hair). It has a scent that is a little too much like a household cleaning product, but it's a faint smell and goes away after the shower.

* John Frieda Frizz-Ease Conditioner (3.8 stars) ($0.54/ounce) If the shampoo does most of the moisturizing "work," then the conditioner seems kind of like the sealant to lock it in and protect it all day, and to make your hair more "manageable." This conditioner does that job well enough but I only use a little bit of it because it makes my hair a little too helmet-y for my liking. Maybe you like that from a conditioner--I don't. I prefer that my hair move in the breeze. This conditioner would probably have a more desirable effect for people with long (at least shoulder-length) hair. As for the scent, I would describe it as "neutral."

* L'Oreal Everstrong Conditioner (3.2 stars) ($0.66/ounce) This seems to have the same effect as the Frieda conditioner, except that it makes my hair even slightly more helmet-y. Also, it has an initially-strong scent that faintly lingers in my hair all day, even when I only use a dime-sized amount. It's a smell that I would describe as endurable but not pleasant.

* Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner (3.0 stars) ($1.03/ounce) My second-biggest complaint with this product is that it is sort of annoying to apply after the shower, you have to dab a few blotches of it onto your damp hair and then brush it through. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't seem to be doing anything beyond what the other conditioners do. It works well enough and makes my hair nice and dark and helmet-y but so do the other conditioners. Plus, I don't think it's doing much to make my hair healthier because you only apply it to the end of the hair and not to the scalp. That means it also requires a good amount of the blue gel to work it through all of your hair.

P.S. Many of these same products are probably available at your local Wal-Mart (or whatever), and probably for a 10-25% lower price.

P.P.S. A couple years ago, I experimented with using no hair products at all... for months. I had read some caveman-y theories about how hair products damage our hair because they crowd out the natural moisturizing chemicals and blah blah. All I can say is that it didn't work for me. It's true that my hair during those months was surprisingly less nappy and gross than I expected, and it's maybe even true that the artificial chemicals we put on our scalps have some serious, unwelcome consequences, but all I can say is that I much prefer how my hair looks and feels after it's been shampooed, to the point that I'm willing to take whatever risks those chemicals may pose.

Aveeno Smart Essentials Nighttime Moisture Infusion, 1.7 Ounce

I have tried many facial moisturizers and this one tops them all! I am currently using Tazorac on my face and it has caused my skin to burn and peel. I apply this cream every night or every other night (depending on how dry my face is) and when I wake up, the peeling is gone and my face is soft and smooth. I have sensitive skin and this does not break me out at all. I know some people may not like the scent but I love it! Its worth purchasing and you actually get alot of product for the size of the jar if used correctly.

I tend to like aveeno products, they work well and don't irritate my skin. I can put the standard aveeno body lotion on my face (even my eyelids) without irritation, whereas almost any other lotion (even one specifically for face/eyes) will make me swell up horribly for a couple days. I had been using burts bees face lotion, and it was fine, but i wouldnt say it was very hydrating. SO i was on the lookout for a new face lotion, and looked into this. I would have liked to try the shiitake mushroom one, but couldnt find it so maybe next time.

But anyway, my specific review for this lotion it is nice and thick and moisturizing, and it sinks on the skin right away, is not greasy at all. I was concerned about all the comments about the scent as i absolutely abHOR heavy perfumes, fruity and flowery lotions (like bath and body works raspberry stuff I just cant stand the fruity smells!! SO hideously strong. i can smell that store halfway down the mall.) But i am glad i tried this lotion it is a very light, clean scent, smells like lemongrass to me, which i do love. It is very fresh and natural smelling, i really wish i could find it in a body lotion version, as i can't see using this small jar for my whole body regularly.

I use it morning and night, it is not too heavy for day. I do think that my face looks brighter and more refreshed. Definitely try this lotion, and don't let the comments about scent frighten you off if you do not like perfumey lotions i would NOT say this is perfumey. It is more botanical, and very light. My husband mentioned he loved the scnet when he gave me a hug the other day ;0) He had to get that close though! :)

I am 40 years old by the way, and have very good skin, but i like to moisturize well to keep it in good shape of course. This caused no breakouts in my case. Good luck :)

I was really excited to try this night cream but noticed the whole two months I used it, my face was constantly breaking out in huge, cyst-like pimples. Mind you, I have never ever broken out in my life, I was not under unusual amounts of stress, and I had not been going through lifestyle changes (e.g. eating or exercising differently). The week I stopped using it, my skin transformed to its old self(the cream I usually use is Neutrogena Light Night Cream).

The Aveeno cream also seemed to sit on top of my skin and made it look and feel greasy. It also smelled a little too intense and nauseated me before bed.

I use this every night after using the Neutrogena Stress Control Pads for nighttime. My skin tone has evened out, my skin feels firmer, softer, and my complexion just glows. I knew when I decided to try it that it would probably break out my skin because it's cream based, but it hasn't at all.

I do agree the fragrance is a little too strong, and I could see that it could turn most people off. But it doesn't bother me. It smells rather nice and I love the effect is has on my skin. Dull, tired skin is completely gone! I can walk out of the house bare faced and feel confident as ever. It's a great product.

I bought this product because I needed a night-time cream to combat the early signs of aging (not a claim for the product). I have purchased it twice over a 3-4 month period and use it every night.

Pros: 1. This product smells really good. I have read some reviews that talk about it having a strong smell but I guess it's just individual preference.

2. It hasn't made me break out. I have sensitive skin and was slightly nervous about using a night cream because of the consistency, but this one does not cause me to break out.

3. Moisturizes well. My skin isn't extremely dry but this product kept it well moisturized.

Cons: 1. Packaging. I wish there were a pump on this product. Tons of night creams come this way but it seems very unsanitary to put my fingers in the product. I wash my hands before applying it so I hope that helps.

2. I didn't see a huge difference in my skin. It was moisturized, yes, but I was expecting to see some brightening effect considering the antioxidant claim and vitamins listed.

I really do like this product but I am kind of disappointed. I gave it 3 stars because I did like it but I'm not completely sold. I am going to venture out and try a new night cream. I have used Olay products in the past and they are very perfume-y and don't do much for the moisture content of my skin. So I would say that this product is the best out of all that I have tried but I have a feeling there is one out there that will better suit my needs. If I can't find the "one" I would purchase this one again because it moisturized my skin and smells good.

This product does the trick and really alleviated all the numbness and tingling that I have been plagued with, but I do offer two warnings: first, they are really, really narrow. I weigh 140 and they are really tight. A man's wrist would be out of luck. two, they are wide and immobilize your wrists big time. These rollers are wonderful, I bought them to maintain my curly updos. Normally sponge rollers dry out the ends of my hair causing my hair to be dry and frizzy. I'm so pleased with these rollers as they create smooth and soft curls while keeping the moisture in my hair.

The large rollers snap off from both ends as I'm putting them on. Smaller one's are more sturdy. The satin on the rollers is really cheap and begin shedding off the sides from day one and is kind of slippery as you try to put them on. Hair slides off easily so you have to hold real tight when applying them. The satin isn't going to last. They should have added seams to the satin. Using the small rolers gives gorgeous curls. And NO, it's not like sleeping with pillows all over your head. I don't care what anyone says, sleeping with rollers is very uncomfortable feeling.

I was a bit confused on the sizes and the above chart located at healthykin.com was helpful. I am 5'4" and I am very happy with the small (not travel). I have used the pillow for a week so far and I sleep better. The pain in my arm from the hotel pillows is slowly subsiding. The notch for my shoulder is making for a more comfortable position. The height is just right. I like that it has breather indents on both sides as I turn during the night.

Yes the pillow stinks a bit at first and the smell goes away in a few days. I have been sleeping on a memory foam pillow. This memory foam is so much better. I bought this item because I was tired of waking up with a stiff neck and even stiffer jaw. I am a die hard side sleeper and have purchased other items in the past, but I finally bit the bullet and spent some hard earned cash on this item...and I couldn't be happier! I am 5' tall so I was able to do just fine with this travel sized pillow. Watch those sizes, there are 2 different sizes for different heights, plus their travel-sized equivalents. On to the review:

I found the item quite dense initially, but it may be because I am new to memory foam. I actually threw the entire pillow and its case into a standard sized pillowcase just to keep clean. I went to bed and immediately understood how this works. The density is key. My shoulder has room to rest without creeping up to my head, but at the same time, my head has breathing space without squishing my face. And my neck is at a perfect height allowing my jaw to relax with perfect support due to that lip on the edge. I barely moved all night I was so comfortable. I woke up and had absolutely no stiffness in my neck, my face had no crease, my jaw was pain free, and I felt great! I don't care how much this thing is now. I hope they never stop making it because I am taking it with me everywhere!

I love this pillow! I am by preference a stomach sleeper, but since that is not good for my neck, I have been trying to change to sleeping on my side. This pillow has made a huge difference. I find that I tend to stay in one position for much longer and seem to sleep better as well. This pillow together with an air mattress are making my sleep more restful. I would suggest adding a protective cover of some type to keep perspiration from reaching the foam since it cannot be washed. The zippered cover is a removable terry cloth like material which is washable. It's worth the purchase price in my opinion.

SleepRight Side Sleeping Memory Foam Pillow is the best!!!

The travel size is great for people who travel alot or are small of stature. The larger sizes would be right for larger people.

I was afraid it would be hot, like most foam products are, but this comes with a sheepskin cover that alleviates that.

I hope this never wears out, cause I don't ever want another pillow. ;o)

I got this for my 9 year old, who wakes up with her hair sticking up everywhere. It's a short angled bob, so I can't just throw it in a braid or ponytail, which makes this product a LIFE SAVER on school mornings. It doesn't make her hair greasy or anything like that, and it did make her hair grow more quickly. Actually at this moment I am not sure about the growth qualities of the product, however would like to comment that it is very uncomfortable to use it. It always gets off the hair at night and never stays on your head!

I bought this product for myself my mom and my sister. Me personally have one more week to go with this product before I have to get a new one and I am not seeing that vast a difference in my hair length. It may have grown an inch but I'm not sure I haven't been monitoring it that well. Using it though have drastically reduced the shedding and breakage as well as help keep my hair moist. My mom, however has also been using other products as she suffered from hair loss in certain areas. Her hair is growing back though I can't say if its because of this wrap or the other products she has been using. My sister who just started using it immediately saw the difference in her ends, they were not nearly as frizzy or dry.

In my experience, trouble sleeping is tied to troubles in life. I have used a couple other products to help me sleep/relax (so I could sleep) over the years and can compare my experiences with these products.

Although I do not have nearly the amount of problems as my "time of troubles" which I barely could sleep an hour or two a night, I decided these would be interesting to try. It may sometimes take an hour or more for me to fall asleep and then I sometimes wake up at night for a while too, which results in less than restful sleep. I thought these would help me get to sleep faster. I don't have time to waste trying to sleep only to wake up tired. I have to say they do slightly have a calming effect, and if you don't have too much of a problem, they may also work for you. As directed, I would take two capsules a half hour before I want to sleep and I have experienced moderate results.

I don't think this product worked nearly as well as other supplements I have tried. I used "Cal Max" (which is hard to find now) during my "time of troubles" and had miraculous results. I would mix it in the hot water and drink it minutes before sleep. It really relaxed me and I was in such a deep sleep with it (every time I used it) that I woke up what seemed like a minute later. So I slept so soundly and deeply that it resulted in great sleep. "Sleep Thru" didn't have nearly the same effect for me as "Cal Max."

I am sure my experiences do not match the experiences of others, so please take them at face value and decide for yourself.

I suffer from the same type of insomnia that Michael Jackson had and I've been suffering for twenty-four years. Despite the fact that I take a prescription pill for sleep every night two or three nights a week I still can't fall asleep. I'll admit I was skeptical. I've long believed in trying natural remedies but so often can't tell that they are actually doing anything. At the same time....it doesn't hurt to try, right? I'm a notoriously light sleeper and in the past 12 months, the frequent wakings have ended up with me lying awake for hours at a time. I'll go to bed and go right to sleep, then some small thing a dog grooming, a child getting up to go to the bathroom will wake me up and then I lie there for hours trying to go back to sleep. these earplugs are pretty comfortable & easy to insert. i wear them most every night & after a few months, the green pegs fall out, which is quite annoying. however, so far they're the best earplugs i've found for sleeping with a snoring partner (sound is not completely blocked, but muted).

Arc4life Linear Gravity Neck Pillow- Medium

Although I have no serious diagnosed neck problems, headaches upon awakening in the morning have become more and more frequent. I felt like I needed more neck support and decided I'd give this pillow a try. I had looked at the other pillow manufactured by this company and thought it might be designed for more serious problems...so I tried the linear gravity because the description seemed to fit my needs. This pillow does provide the proper support for my cervical spine, but as a side sleeper who tosses and turns, it is annoying to have to rearrange the pillow each time. Your cheek must be on the outer edge to benefit from the gravitational aspect. I can get the same benefit from sleeping with a regular pillow parallel with my body. For me it was a waste of money.

L-theanine borders on the miraculous with its no side effect profile and efficacy in raising GABA levels which effect many other neurotransmitter levels indirectly including dopamine and serotonin. Effects start at 200mg but are much more noticeable at 600mg. NOW is a great company but this L-theanine is overpriced.

This product really works, and reduces stress, calms me down, and helps me sleep. I take 2 capsules daily, one in the morning around 11 AM, and another at dinner around 7-8 PM.
