IMAK Hand / Elbow SmartGlove PM

IMAK Hand / Elbow SmartGlove PM
  • MATRIX MEDICAL
  • Quantity: 1
  • Rest and night splinting is the #1 doctor-recommended conservative treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
  • The patented SmartGloveTM was rated the most effective nighttime splint for treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
  • Provides exceptional comfort and maximum pain relief during rest and sleep while promoting healing with therapeutic warmth.

This nightime splint is terrific. You can use it on either hand. The most important thing I thought is that it puts my hand in a gently curved position and softly keeps it there all night. I also thought it was very well made. Very useful, I intend to buy another so I can wear both at night.

I wish the company would make a head pillow out of those Therabeads, I think it might make a really excellent pillow for those of us with neck problems.

I just bought the SmartGlove and have used it for the past 2 nights. I am so grateful for this brilliant design that I am writing my first review ever. I suffer from Carpel Tunnel I moved my office recently and overdid it with my wrist. I have been waking up several times during the night in pain and in the mornings it takes about an hour for the tingling and pain to subside so that I can work. I have tried other braces and always end up throwing them off in the night because of the pain. I don't know if it is the beads under the palm or the soft complete surround support that makes this work...I do know that I am pain free and my wrist is healing. Highly recommend it for others with my kind of situation.

Very comfortable glove. I wish it were just a *little* firmer and snug around the hand, but I suppose if it were too tight it would make your hand sweat. I wear it to bed every night to help with my mild carpal tunnel problem and I'm quite pleased with it.

I really like this carpal night brace. It took 3-4 nights to get used to it, but now I enjoy wearing it at night and my wrist discomfort is gradually subsiding. It delivers therapeutic heat to the wrist area that aids healing without making your arm feel hot (the warmth is evenly distributed). The material is very soft and breathes. It has "therabeads" that feel good in the palm, like a small bean bag. While the brace provides firm support, it allows a small amount of flexibility, which feels more natural to me than braces which lock your hand into a fixed, rigid position. Highly recommended for avoiding "dead hand" syndrome caused from bending your wrists the wrong way during sleep.

But..I am a small person with very small wrists and hands. I am using these braces for neuropathy. I have many pairs of braces but these are the best for me. I have reconstructed them to fit me. The metal on the upper portion versus the under is less painful for me. Because they are so large for me, they also keep my fingers from moving much. Although these arent perfect for me, so far they are the least painful to wear, I keep them on longer during the night, and softer than any others I have worn.

Ayr Ayr Saline Nasal Gel With Soothing Aloe

Ayr Saline Nasal Gel with Soothing Aloe .5 oz(#1 REVIEWER)I have forced air heating and it gets pretty dry during the winter. I use to have bloody mucus and the nose felt very dry. Since I discovered Ayr gel my nose feels much happier. I put a small dap into each nostril (using a q-tip as applicator) before going to sleep and it feels great all night and in the morning too.

This gel comes in different size packages, the smaller tube (1.75g) is very good for travel. The larger tube (14.1 g) in the listing is more economic. I started with the smaller tube and it lasted me over a month with daily use.

I noticed that the price on the on this product fluctuates. There is a nice online tool that I use to help catch a good price on Amazon, this tool is called "Online Price Alert". This tool will send you an email when the Amazon item price reaches the target price range that you specify. If you search on "online price alert" in Google it will be come up at the top. I find this tool to be very helpful.

People of a certain age often struggle with dry nasal passages. Nothing works better than this stuff. Nothing. It's fast, smooth, fresh and clean.

Ayr saline nasal gel with aloe does work as promised, but if you're looking for bang for your buck, you're really not getting it here. .5 ounce used sparingly might get you through a week, but not a cold winter with dry heat. This is particularly so if you're having to use the gel more than once a day to heal a particularly dry or bleeding nose.

If you live or work in a very dry environment (indoor heating is awful for me) you'll find this product to be miraculous in releiving all your discomfort. Of course, using a netti pot is great, but it's not too convenient to carry around with you. Using a very small amount of Ayr Saline Nasal Gel will help open your nasal passages without the rebound effect of chemical nose sprays such as Afrin. The tube contains a very small amount of product, however it is long-lasting because it doesn't take much to work. The Aloe also gives it a soothing effect. If you are suffering with allergies or a cold, that soothing is a huge plus.

These little tubes are absolutely worth the cost because they work as advertised.

I have been ordering through Wal-Mart and been very happy with it....being on oxygen even with a humidifier can really dry out the inside of your nose...this works GREAT !!!

But what ever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM AMERICAN WHOLESALE via Amazon. They take weeks to ship!!!

Air Allergy Advanced 3m Nasal Filter, 12 Count

Air Allergy Advanced 3m Nasal Filter, 12 CountThe good:

This took my cat allergy down from what was an 11 in this particular environment...where I had literally taken 3 benadryl, 1 allegra, claritin, and neti-potted the heck out of my nose---and was still sneezing, to a 2---I only needed claratin. Even then, I think I sneezed 3 times in 4 days.

It also seemed nearly unnoticeable to my wife, and to myself...that I had stuff in my nose.

The bad:

Once upon a time, a long time ago on a bet, I could fit three quarters in my nose...sideways. (It's ok, I wasn't at home when I tried it.) Suffice to say, I have an almost Demitri Martin-sized schnoz. I don't know how well these would work for smaller noses, and in fact they didn't go so well with my wife's significantly smaller nose.

After wearing them for 4 days---taking them out only to sleep, my nose started to get a little raw from them.

The nose cross-bar tends to stretch out after you take them out...so once they're out, they don't quite fit back in the same as they did when they were brand new.

Overall:

I can't thank this product enough for it allowing me to enjoy this last thanksgiving with family.

Work perfectly but a little big otherwise I love it. I went in to a place that had mold and felt no reaction from being in there, so know it is effective.

They are huge and flared out my nostrils and I really looked weird and felt very uncomfortable. I do like that they are non pinching, and if you have a bigger nose I am sure they work well.

I found that the little strip that separates the filters was a little irritating on my septum and prevented the filters from entering quite as far as I would have liked for comfort. I have quite a large schnoz so I suspect this may be a case of "one size doesn't quite fit anybody".

It still works some but I feel certain that if I could get past the irritation and taking them out for a scratch and/or a sneeze occasionally it would work better.

The jury is still out on this product as the pollens are just now appearing here in Oregon. My husband has severe allergies year round with the abundance in the Spring as things bloom out. Trees are his big problem so it is too soon to determine how successful the filters will be but we are encouraged and the fit is good so we will hope for the best. Any relief is good for him.

L'oreal LOreal Hair Expertise LOreal Everstrong Hydrate Hair Conditioner Rosemary Mint

L'Oreal Paris EverStrong Hydrate Conditioner, 8.5-Fluid OunceOverall I really like this conditioner. My hair is relaxed and dry and I was attracted to it because it is sulfate free. The first time I used the conditioner, I was planning on leaving it in for a while because I wanted to deep condition. However, after about 5 minutes my scalp started to burn from the mint, so I had to rinse it out. However, when I used it after that first time and left the conditioner in a for a few minutes it no longer burns. I am not sure if I am used to it or if I simply have been rinsing it out after just a short period of time. It makes my hair soft and full. I recommend it to anybody with dry hair. I love the smell but it just may not be the best product to deep condition with.

I use this the most in my conditioner rotation. I don't shampoo daily (but when I do, it's with the EverStrong Shampoo). For curly hair, I use conditioner daily and scrub it in as if it were shampoo. I have excellent results with this product, as does my husband (he also has curly hair and until now, complains that conditioning products cause his hair to go flat). No flatness with this product. Light. Easy. I use it as a leave-in, also. Can use it daily. Slightly pricey, but worth it, as it only takes a small amount. Smells great, too! Bonus!!!!!!!

L'Oreal -please do not take this product off the market. I absolutely love this product and it has completely transformed my dry, brittle hair into soft, silky, moisturized hair. My hair was damaged -chemically processed and flat ironed daily! Now when I comb my hair, I do not experience any breakage. My hair is super-moisturized and softer than I can describe. I can't stop touching my hair throughout the day because it feels so amazing. I am absolutely shocked that a hair product that I purchased in a grocery store was able to outperform my expensive, high-end salon hair products. I actually stopped using my $25 bottle of designer hair conditioner in favor of this product.

I was a classic too-manly-for-hair-care male until I recently resolved (out of either vanity or self-respect, or maybe both) to start attending more carefully to my health/appearance/grooming. Hair is, of course, at the front line of that battle, so I interrogated some professional hair people and did some Internet browsing and learned that hair care is only partly a matter of what products you use. Healthy hair is also the result of things like drinking water and eating right and avoiding excessive sun or heat. Hair is, in fact, the most reliable indicator of whether a person is healthy. (See the Wikipedia page on "hair care," for starters.) And I learned that when it comes to hair products, I should look for ones that say "hydrating." (This as opposed to "moisturizing," which merely gives the appearance of hydration.) That's because hydrated hair is pretty much what healthy hair *is.*

I then spent a decent (if not ridiculous) amount of time browsing Amazon's hydrating hair products and reading the reviews, and then I experimented with 5 different, relatively inexpensive products.

The bottom line is that none of the 5 products are magical but I have noticed a mild to moderate improvement in shine, darkness, and thickness. (If you have recommendations for a near-magical product, I'm counting on you to let me know.) Given what I've seen from the different products, I will probably settle into a routine of using a small amount of the Frieda shampoo and conditioner daily, and then using an overnight treatment maybe once a month (but probably not the L'Oreal one).

That doesn't mean I recommend (or don't) any of these products for you. Another thing I learned while researching hair is that we are all unique little flowers with very different filaments on our noggins that respond differently to different things. So rather than recommending a particular product, I recommend that you do some trials and see what works for you.

Below is a detailed review of each product.

* L'Oreal EverStrong Conditioner (My rating: 3.2 stars) (Current price: $0.66/ounce) This seems to have the same effect as the Frieda conditioner (see below), except that it makes my hair even slightly more helmet-y. Also, it has an initially-strong scent that faintly lingers in my hair all day, even when I only use a dime-sized amount. It's a smell that I would describe as endurable but not pleasant.

* John Frieda Frizz-Ease Shampoo (4.3 stars) ($0.60/ounce) It works noticeably better than my old shampoo (Aussie Smooth). With this shampoo, my hair stays wet after a shower about 40% longer and it retains a subtle moisture all day. After a shower, when I comb my wet hair, I can hardly even feel it because there is so little resistance against the comb. In other words, my hair becomes a weird combination of wet and airy. The shampoo seems to work best when I leave it in for a minute or two before rinsing. I only need to use about a nickel-sized amount (I have medium-to-shaggy hair). It has a scent that is a little too much like a household cleaning product, but it's a faint smell and goes away after the shower.

* John Frieda Frizz-Ease Conditioner (3.8 stars) ($0.54/ounce) If the shampoo does most of the moisturizing "work," then the conditioner seems kind of like the sealant to lock it in and protect it all day, and to make your hair more "manageable." This conditioner does that job well enough but I only use a little bit of it because it makes my hair a little too helmet-y for my liking. Maybe you like that from a conditioner--I don't. I prefer that my hair move in the breeze. This conditioner would probably have a more desirable effect for people with long (at least shoulder-length) hair. As for the scent, I would describe it as "neutral."

* Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner (3.0 stars) ($1.03/ounce) My second-biggest complaint with this product is that it is sort of annoying to apply after the shower, you have to dab a few blotches of it onto your damp hair and then brush it through. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't seem to be doing anything beyond what the other conditioners do. It works well enough and makes my hair nice and dark and helmet-y but so do the other conditioners. Plus, I don't think it's doing much to make my hair healthier because you only apply it to the end of the hair and not to the scalp. That means it also requires a good amount of the blue gel to work it through all of your hair.

* L'Oreal EverStrong Overnight Treatment (2.5 stars) ($1.76/ounce) I have only used it a few times but haven't noticed anything magical. You apply it to dry hair at night, work it through the ends, and then sleep with your hair in a mildly goopy state. I didn't check carefully, but I would be surprised if your hair doesn't leave a mark on your pillowcase. And it takes a lot of goop, even for a guy with reasonably short hair like me. Maybe it would be worth it if it gave my hair a brilliant luster or thickness, but it doesn't seem to do much at all, at least not above what the shampoo and conditioner are already doing. I am unlikely to get it again.

---

P.S. Many of these same products are probably available at your local Wal-Mart (or whatever), and probably for a 10-25% lower price.

P.P.S. A couple years ago, I experimented with using no hair products at all... for months. I had read some caveman-y theories about how hair products damage our hair because they crowd out the natural moisturizing chemicals and blah blah. All I can say is that it didn't work for me. It's true that my hair during those months was surprisingly less nappy and gross than I expected, and it's maybe even true that the artificial chemicals we put on our scalps have some serious, unwelcome consequences, but all I can say is that I much prefer how my hair looks and feels after it's been shampooed, to the point that I'm willing to take whatever risks those chemicals may pose.

I really like shampoo/conditioner combo. I used to use 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioners from Head& Shoulders and Panteen. My hair became dry and there were split ends. I decided I need to spend more money and buy some expensive shampoo and conditioner. Well, this product is not too expensive and although I haven't used it for a long time, I really like the minty smell right now! I am very satisfied as of now.

Better Sleep Pillow

Sleep Better Pillow IIWe bought this pillow, at my husband's insistence, and it has been great! My husband has arthritis in both his shoulders and damage to his rotator cuff and since using this pillow his complaints have gone down to zero!!! He sleeps much better and is able to exercise without any complaints of pain. Since using the pillow he very rarely takes any medication for pain. Highly recommended worth the $100!

It's worth every penny! Before I bought this pillow, I would wake up a couple times a week with migraines and neck pain. My neck would actually pop almost every time I switched sides. I knew some, if not all of this could be attributed to my current pillow, so I was desperate to try something new and designed for side/stomach sleepers. I took a chance buying this pillow.

At first use, this pillow seems awkward and pretty hard. it places your head at an angle that you may not be used to, so there definitely is an adjustment period. However, after the first night of use, I woke up with no neck pain and as an added bonus, no stiffness in my arms or shoulders either! I have not woken up with pain or stiffness ever since using this pillow. I also expect that as it breaks in a little, it will just keep getting better and better. It's also nice that it has a removable and washable cover.

Immediately after I began using this pillow my shoulder pain was reduced. I've used it for more than 6-months and I would recommend it to anyone that is having shoulder pain from sleeping on their side. My only complaint is that the zipper broke off of the included pillow case the first time I tried to remove it for washing.

Outside of surgery, I dont think there is anything that will truly keep me from waking up with pain in the morning, but this pillow has made a BID difference for me! I've gone from a huge amount of pain to being able to tolerate the way I feel. It might not sound like a great review but it really is! I didn't think anything could help, and this pillow really has!

It's worth the money and it really is comfortable! :)

Snoreless 120 Capsules - Chi's EnterpriseThe Snoreless capsules actually exceeded my expectations. Worked great from the very first day. Will be placing the next order tomorrow and will be ordering two bottles.

DMI 7" x 24" x 24" Foam Bed Wedge

Mabis DMI 802-8026-0100 Foam Bed Wedge, Blue, 7' x 24' x 24'Ok, first of all, this is NOT a pillow. Some people complained that this was to hard or firm. That's the way it's supposed to be. If it was soft and cushy it would defeat the purpose of providing you elevation and support in bed.

I use it for 2 reasons, acid reflux and breathing difficulties. If I could afford a nice electric hospital bed I'd be in heaven, but this is the next best thing. It gives me the upper body elevation that I need to keep the air flowing and stomach juices where they belong, in my tummy!! It's no firmer than your average mattress and I put my pillow on top of it so it's super comfortable. I slept the first night for 6 hours straight, I haven't done that in over 2 years.

The price was awesome, about half of what the same thing costs from a medical supply company. The cover fits nice, nothing special but it does the job. When I purchased it the company was offering free shipping, they sent it FedEx and I had it the next business day.

I read a complaint somewhere that this was not good for sleeping on your side, well I think that would be fairly obvious, unless of course you like sleeping bent like a pretzel.

I wasn't sure if I should get the 7", 10", or 12" version of this pillow when I ordered it so I went for the middle height. That has turned out to be a good balance between being high enough to prop you up to watch TV or read and being low enough to be comfortable to sleep on. I think a 12" would actually be better for watching TV, etc. and a 7" would be a little more comfortable for sleeping. But, if you're like me and you don't have enough room to store two versions, this 10" version has been a nice middle ground.

The pillow is a fairly firm foam, so it's not terribly comfortable to put your head on directly. I use a normal pillow on top of it and that makes it very comfortable. My only real complaint is that the cover it comes with is made of a very, very light fabric and it doesn't look like it will survive many washes. We'll see how it holds up.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase.

First of all .... it works.. I've had a "gas problem" off and on for quite some time. It is firm and a bit slippery and it's not unusual for me to wake up about to be completely slid off of it. Which is why I took off one star. Quality seems to be just fine..Tag says made in USA!

Read Best Reviews of DMI 7" x 24" x 24" Foam Bed Wedge Here

This is one of those things like a mattress everyone is a little bit different and so what works well for one person is just awful for another. This is not a pillow; it's a foam wedge. And it's not just firm; it's almost hard. It has less give than that extra firm mattress in the showroom. It has to be in order to support your weight well enough to retain its height.

I bought this for recovery from acute reflux. Absolutely no way I could lay on it (my wife tried it and seemed OK, but then again, she prefers to sleep on plywood). I put a 2" latex topper on it, which probably would work for many maybe even most people. I added a several down pillows to shape it better to my back and head, and that made it tolerable.

Another important consideration is it's 24" width and length. Some people, particular a larger or heavy-set person, may have their arms dropping alongside. I'm pretty lean; this wasn't an issue for me. But I'm also 6' tall, and that creates a very common issue with these 24" length wedges: It doesn't extend far enough down my torso. This forces me to bend at the top of my waist, which puts some upward pressure on the diaphragm that of course is not good for reflux; this could be particularly true for someone with extra weight around the waist.

It probably is also iffy for side sleepers. I managed to work with the pillows in such a way I could make that work, as long as I didn't turn back and forth. It's best with reflux to sleep on one's left side, so if you can just stay in that position this isn't quite as much an issue. But it's not easy, and definitely doesn't work well if you toss and turn.

The 7" height is about right for reflux, especially if you add a topper and/or pillows as I did. My gastro guy recommends a minimum of 8" (IIRC so does Dr. Oz). Again, people are different in this respect. But 7" is probably adequate for most. But just be aware that, again depending on your size and shape, you may find yourself sliding off the bottom repeatedly. The only way around this that I can see is to use the longer more graduated wedges, the 32" and 42" products which are much more expensive.

I finally gave up on this wedge, tried yet another more expensive alternative, and ended up with just elevating the bed on risers. The sliding issue is more of a challenge this way, but at least my body is straight so surface wise it's like sleeping on the bed regularly and therefore I'm getting a much better night's rest.

The short of it is, you won't know until you experiment with it yourself. This particular wedge doesn't have the issues that many of the other products seem to and the price isn't outrageous, so it may be worth the gamble.

I read all the reviews here on Amazon before purchasing this bed wedge. I suffer from GERD (acid reflux) and needed a pillow like this. I kept reading how all the other pillows smelled, even some of the expensive ones and I thought that didn't sound too good. I noticed none of the reviewers mentioned a smell with this bed wedge. So, I thought I'd try it. By the way this was the cheapest pillow I was looking at and I looked a lot. I got it 2 days ago and it is fanstastic! I adjusted so easily to it. 7" high is perfect if you have GERD get the 7". Also, I put my own pillow on it for extra comfort. Love the blue cover. Nothing slips with this pillow. It is so perfect. Again, I repeat no smell on this pillow and it is really nice quality! This is the first review I have ever written on Amazon, I think that says it all.

Bed Wedge Pillow

Bed Wedge PillowWhen I first brought this Wedge home, I was a little disappointed because I'd paid a lot of money, and it made me sit so straight up that it felt uncomfortable, and it did smell a little out of the bag. I thought I would never get used to it. A month later, I love it. My back pain is completely gone, and when I read or use the computer in bed (which I spend a few hours a day doing), I never even notice the wedge (and the smell left quickly). But I notice if I'm NOT using it!! So glad I bought it. It was worth every penny.

Very comfortable, lightweight, so easy to take off and on the bed...the only drawback is the warmth of the material covering the wedge...nice in the winter, but might be a little warm in the summer months. Good support for the back!

The other review is UNTRUE. NO smell at all! And, Brookstone has an excellent return policy. I bought mine at a mall store in W Washington. I just wish it was a bit larger although I am 6'5" I wish most products were larger. Be prepaired, it is very firm, tho I had hope the surface was just a little softer, it is nice that it dosen't crush into nothing like most of the other "foams" out there. The covering is also high quality and very soft! I am getting another one because it is perfect for my legs and after my recovery the wife can have one for lounging. My only real issue is the $100 pricetag, painful.

I have been looking for a good pillow wedge for a long time. Something that would not give me backache. I have vertigo when I lay down flat on a bed. So I had to limit my traveling because everything I tried would not work. I'd either wake up with back pain or I would slide down or fall off the sides. So I tried this one out and I am extremely happy. Now I have no issues with staying in hotel rooms or going on cruises. I can usually sleep all night with this and I wake up on trips well rested. I am also 6" tall and 200lbs but this works like a champ.

Oregon Scientific WS903G Aroma Diffuser and Sound Therapy Clock

Oregon Scientific WS903G Aroma Diffuser and Sound Therapy ClockUPDATE: 1/04/2011

I've had the clock now for 5 months and decided to do an update. I still enjoy it even after the novelty of it has worn off and everything works for me fine. No issues, no breakage of any kind, haven't lost the remote and the aromatherapy still works. Cons for me are still the same as I mentioned below. One additional thing I do not like that some other individuals have mentioned is a beep. An annoyingly 1 second cold monotone beep. What was Oregon Scientific thinking when they decidied to kill this lovely clock by inserting that beep? I mean, seriously?

Okay, so mine isn't an issue so much as listening to the sounds before I go to sleep as I really don't care for sound at bedtime. However, I can see how the other reviewers could be perturbed at being awakened at the end of their relaxing 15 minutes with that beep. I'd be super annoyed as well, what would be the point of even listening to it? Mine is the fact that the damn beep goes off five minutes before my alarm comes on. Wait, what? Yes. Five minutes before I get to hear the lovely sound of birds chirping or water cascading I get awoken by a "Beeeeeeeeeeeep". I, at this point, am already awake by the time my soft alarm goes off. What's the point? I don't get it. It's obvious to me that Oregon Scientific just has a sick sense of humor and they win this round.

Even though I hate them and wish they'd burn at this point, I still like the clock and would still potentially purchase it again. However, not above 60-70 bucks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This might be a bit of a longer review, so bear with me. I figured with as much deliberation as I put into purchasing this item, maybe it might help someone else out.

This item came up on Amazon's deal of the day on August 10, 2010. A lot of moolah for a glorified alarm clock, right?

As I was contemplating purchasing this device, I started to read some of the comments left on the deal of the day comment board. The majority, if not all, were negative in regards to this device. I started to get swayed by reading these and had basically talked myself out of purchasing it; after all, what idiot would spend $70 on an alarm clock on sale?

Obviously this one.

What made me purchase it? After doing every bit of research I could do on this product for information (let me tell you, there isn't enough out there) a few things made me think, maybe it isn't that bad. First, I watched the video done by Oregon Scientific located on the Amazon page itself. A little cheesy, but hey, the chick's accent is pretty soothing, I think they did that on purpose though. Secondly, I went to Walmart and checked out their alarm clocks/diffusers/multiple function devices (yep, in the same day just to verify prices), and they ranged anywhere from $10 for a cheap little digital one, up to $30-$60+ for ones with a little bit more technology (IE: AM/FM radio, cd player, iPod adapter, etc.). Still, none seemed as cool as this one did. I then researched online and saw people were paying $125+, depending on manufacturer, for sunrise clocks. Suddenly, I didn't feel so wasteful anymore (I was going to say, feel like an idiot anymore, but I didn't want to offend any sunrise clock purchasers; after all, you should get what you want). Of course, I hate light in the morning, so one of those just wouldn't do it for me.

Lastly, I found this review on youtube:

Review | Oregon Scientific Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser (you'll need to put this in the search area as Amazon doesn't like links)

At this point, I was hooked. I couldn't stop myself from clicking the purchase button, even if I wanted to. I wanted this little contraption and nothing but a sellout would prevent me from getting it (albeit a $99.99 price tag). I received it within two days of ordering it and like a little kid receiving a new package, was ever elated in opening it. Pulling it out, I thought, "Hey, this is pretty dang neat." No, I'm not really that dull, but this is after all an Amazon review, have to keep it clean, dontcha know. However, nor am I going to admit that I was jumping through my house holding an alarm clock while simultaneously swaying my arms back and forth in the air due to unbridled joy. Anyway, setting up was easy, I already had oil purchased previously that I could use, and voila... done. My new alarm with aroma therapy and light was ready to be used!

I cannot say that as of yet, that I regret this purchase in the least. To be honest, I really only got this alarm clock for its nature sound capabilities, which I read that Oregon Scientific has some of the best. I have chronic dry eye due to PRK surgery and often when ripping my eyes open in the morning in response to the out-of-nowhere loud buzzing alarm of my previous clock, I would tear my epithelium off and need to go to the doctors for a 3-day contact bandage. Fun fun. All the other extras, is just that, extras, but still perks in their own way. It is extremely soothing to listen to this before I go to sleep; it does help with that `wind down' phase. Also, I find that so far (granted it's only been 3 days) I do pleasantly lift my eyes open to the sound of music and birds chirping as opposed to the aforementioned ripping.

Minor drawbacks for me:

I am definitely a snooze hitter, not anymore though as this doesn't give you the option. I do find myself resetting it on the weekends though to get those 10-20-30-40-50 extra minutes that I truly want.

There are no buttons on this clock. Yes it looks clean, but as the youtube video shows, if you lose the remote, you are SOL (maybe OS will offer a replacement part for those of us that find ourselves losing... did I say losing?... I meant misplacing, things often). Because of this, I leave the remote out during the night when I'm sleeping next to the clock and promptly put it away when I wake up in the morning.

There are only 5 sounds. This isn't so much a drawback for me as I just really use it as an alarm, so 5 sounds versus only one annoying repetitive beep, is a step up for me. However, for those that want to listen to this on a constant basis, may become bored with it.

Don't use too much oil and then feel the need to smell the cool little waft of (what appears to be) smoke that comes from the top. I felt like I singed my nose hairs and my nostrils were on fire. They say use 1 2 drops. Yes, that is actually enough, no matter how much you feel it isn't, it is. Trust me.

Because I am so used to a buzz alarm, this one almost lures me back to sleep after it wakes me up. It's actually quite nice, minus the whole sleeping in part. My advice? Attempt to get up the first time. For the first two weeks, I am using a small backup alarm as a just in case, just until I get used to this one.

Other than that, it's new and fun. The light colors are pretty, the dim feature is decent (even though it's still too bright for me, refer previously to me hating light), I like the sounds and be honest; how many people can say that their alarm clock smells good? Plus, because of the lid, I don't tend to smell it while it just sits there and not in use. I'll be back in 3 weeks, then 3 months and lastly, for the 1 year updates. Just to let you know if it's still as good as I originally thought, if something broke, or if I go monster on it for whatever unforeseen circumstances. Hope this has helped!

P.S. I gave it a 4 rating because it is just an alarm clock, which in my opinion is still a high level review. I save the 5's for some kicka$$ items only.

I think the product itself is very nice for someone like me who enjoys the sensory experience of nature sounds and aromatherapy. The unit looks nice and the remote control is easy to work. I really enjoy the aromatherapy in particular. Based on the product alone I would have given it a higher review.

There are two things that really bug me.

First, as another reviewer mentioned there is a mechanical beep that sounds at the end of a session when you set it to sleep mode. This is so jarring and seems totally at odds with the purpose of the machine.

Second, I had trouble getting the alarm function to work I see that it can be an alarm, but I couldn't figure out how to work it the manual was no help. I called customer service and they were stumped. Said they would call me back and did not. Received an email in response to my inquiry that said that the product was to go to sleep to, not to be an alarm. Huh? It says it has an alarm function on its own website!

My mechanically-inclined spouse figured out the alarm and I'll be happy to provide instructions in case anyone struggles like I did.

I fell in love with this clock, and we bought it almost two months ago, we use it every night for the aromatherapy and the cromotherapy, last night in the middle of the night I woke up and it had stopped working for no reason (as another user commented as well). I religiously followed the care instructions, and was careful not to leave the diffuser on too long. Now I am left (less than 47 days later) with an expensive broken alarm clock that I can either throw away or get only partial credit on. Seriously Amazon, for larger purchases (and given customer reviews) you really need to put a new policy in place regarding returns for this item, or set stricter guidelines for your dealings with the manufacturer. Very very displeased!

I liked some things about it, but not enough to keep it. I bought this on a lightning deal for $60. It's definitely not worth more than that. Here is my take on this item:

Pros:

1. The diffuser worked really well as far as diffusing the essential oil scents. (However, it kept automatically shutting off. More on this in Cons.)

2. I liked the "idea" of the lights, sounds, and diffuser.

3. The unit was well-constructed. I was happy with the appearance of it.

Cons:

1. The instructions in the "manual" were hard to follow and gave limited information. Once I figured everything out, I was fine. But it took some time to figure out how to operate it. There should have been more information given especially on the diffuser. Big thumbs down for the manual.

2. The sounds were okay, but became annoying. They were very short sound clips that just repeated over and over. There could be a definite improvement with the sounds.

3. I hated that you could only control all functions with the remote.

4. There is no snooze option with the alarm. I need a snooze.

5. The beep was really annoying as others have stated in their reviews.

6. The lights didn't do anything for me. Yeah, it looked cool, but I didn't plan on sitting there staring at the unit to see lights change color. I expected more.

7. The diffuser kept automatically shutting off. I didn't have it on the timer and couldn't find anything in the "manual" to explain why this kept happening. I tried to call the company and was on hold for 30 minutes. It was around Christmas when I tried to call, but it was still frustrating. I hung up before anyone even answered due to the long hold time.

Overall, there are just too many functions wrapped up into one with this unit and none of them were perfected. I am going to look for two different units; a quality diffuser that is only a diffuser and then a quality alarm clock with nature sounds. I can do without the lights.

This is definitely the best aroma diffuser plus clock you can get. I used it when I have friends over for creation of a little "mood in the air" it releases a little "fog" out of the diffuser which brings great aroma to the whole room fast.

Melatonin Max Natural Sleep Cycle Support Big Bulk Suplements Melatonin 10mg 240 Capsules 2 Bottles

Melatonin Max Natural Sleep Cycle Support Big Bulk Suplements Melatonin 10mg 240 Capsules 2 BottlesMy wife and I have been taking Melatonin to help us fall asleep for about a year. These work as well as any we have every purchased from CVS or Walmart. I recommend these. I only take one a night, and it really does help me fall asleep. My wife takes two sometimes and she passes out pretty quickly. I previously looked up melatonin, and there is no way to overdose on melatonin. Unless you take like 500 pills, you cannot OD on these.

10 mg melatonin can be hard to find in brick-and-mortar stores. Both hubby and I used it for a good night's sleep so I'm happy to find it here in bulk. Snooze away!

L'Oreal Paris RevitaLift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Day Lotion, SPF 15, 1.7-Fluid Ounce

L'Oreal Paris RevitaLift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair Day Lotion, SPF 15, 1.7-Fluid OunceFirst I'm a man's man, just ask my wife, but as I get older it became obvious that to retain my looks I was going to have to put some additional time into my daily grooming routine. I decided to try this product to see how it compares to male orientated products that advertise similar results for men. Other than the obvious feminine smell that the product has, I found this product to very effective at softening the appearance of deep wrinkles. While I was never a sun worshiper, I do get my fare share of exposure to the sun when doing a lot of DIY stuff around the house. While the product says use in the day I decided that it was best to use this at night just before bed, because it did cause some redness and shininess on my face. I resolve this by using it at night and using a moisturizer with an SPF 30 rating in the day. Problem solved. So I would recommend the night formula over the day formula. I'm a guy, which means I like things to be simple and to the point and using this product is just that. I like this product and will keep using it until a male equivalent appears on the market, hint, hint L'Oreal.

Just a note, no one product will solve all your skin problems, so keep in mind that I do use other products like facial scrubs, facial wash, microdermabrasion and as I mentioned a moisturizer to help with the process. Not all at once of course. The point is that this product can only do so much, so keep your expectations realistic. If you use this product correctly you will see positive results.

I used this and the night formula on my forehead exactly as the directions specify . . . no change whatsoever after 12 weeks. It was applied to clean skin as instructed, faithfully *every* day, but my forehead lines look just the same. For comparison information, I'm in my mid-50s, fair-skinned with very minimal sun damage (a dermatologist commented on that fact when I consulted him for another issue). I get plenty of sleep, stay well-hydrated, avoid sun exposure, etc.--all the things one should do to protect her complexion. I also don't have excessively-deep forehead lines, but, hey . . . at 55, unless you've managed not to smile or frown your entire life, you're going to have some!

All in all, I found this cream to have no value. Fortunately, I bought it and the night formula in a BOGO offer, so I was only out half the price of the pair. On the plus side, I guess I'll say it didn't do any damage . . . .

After using this product I notice that the lotion flakes up as the day progresses. I did not like this product because of this, as the flakes can get in your hair and on your clothing. I have tried the night cream and it works fine. I will definately not buy the day cream ever again. Ladies stick with a cream that stays on your skin, don't buy this dud. Right now I use this (as a backup)whenever my night cream runs out before bed.

One Piece Sleeping Mask Chopper

One Piece Sleeping Mask ChopperThe One Piece Tony Tony Chopper sleeping eye mask is a great addition for any One Piece fan. It is made of a nylon material and rests comfortably on one's face. However, this may vary depending on how big one's head is since it seems it would fit a slightly smaller head either adult or child. The Chopper eyes decorating the front of the mask are very good and brings some fun to one's sleeping experience.

Little Moon Essentials Asana Kisser Salve

Little Moon Essentials Asana Kisser SalveThis isn't like liniment, Tiger balm, or anything similar where the idea is to distract your sore muscles by providing a different sensation. While the product does contain cayenne and menthol, it doesn't tingle. You won't feel like you're putting Vicks VapoRub all over your body.

What you will feel, if you're anything like me, is better. I think it's the arnica, an herb mainly used to help bruises and sprains heal.

I don't exercise as often as I should, and when I do, I tend to overdo it. Yesterday I rode my bike for 12.5 miles when I normally get very little exercise whatsoever. So by evening, my quads were burning. I put some Asana Kisser on my thighs, and by morning they felt fine. I neglected to put some on my hips and butt, which are now sore, but I expect them to feel much better in the next few hours now that I've applied the salve there too.

I used to be able to buy this stuff right in the store when I lived in Asheville. Here in Florida it's a little harder to find, so I was glad to see it available online and that it is still being made. I only had a little bit left from years ago, but it's still good and still works.

It also smells good, like ginger and not much else.

Neutrogena Cream Makeup Remover Night Calming Cleanser, 5.1 OunceI like to use it in the evening to help relax and calm my skin. SCANDINAVIAN FORMULAS, Nozovent Anti-Snoring Device - 2 pak

SCANDINAVIAN FORMULAS, Nozovent Anti-Snoring Device - 2 pakGreat, Great product. Been using for over ten years. I didn't purchase for the snoring but for better breathing doing sleep. As a youngster I had sinus problems and no doubt sinus infections. I learned that my neglect to treat the infections properly caused scaring on my sinus drainage ports, we have four, as a result constant blockage. The Nozovent along with using Alklol has improved my problem. The Nozovent is reusable day after day and is a money saver over Breath Right Strips which is a one time use and very costly over Nozovent.

It does what it should do. I have just one complain which is that it comes off very easily at the middle of the night, and if you wake up, it is very hard to find it between all the bed sheets and stuff! Also remember that it is a bit annoying at the beginning but your nose will get used to it.

I bought this item about an week ago, and I tried to get used to this discomforts that the product gives but no luck.

Yes, it does open your nasal passage so that more air can pass through but personally I cannot handle it.

Breath Right does the same job but without any discomforts.
