Sleek look makes my wild hair a little calmer. I have been using it for many years, and I like to try other products, but this is a staple for me because it works soo soo well. This hair care line is the best I've tried to date. I've tried all kinds of regular products like Garnier and Aussie (which are the best that you can buy at a regular store), but nothing compares with salon products, especially Matrix. My hair is softer and sleeker than it ever has been. However, I don't recommend the hair masque conditioner for people with relatively healthy hair. It can make the hair heavy and hard to manage. Overall, though it can be a little pricey, Sleek.Look is a great product that is worth every penny.Want Sleek.look by Matrix Smoothing System 1 Shampoo, 33.8-Ounce Bottle Discount?
I decided to switch to Sleek Look because of a youtube review. And I have to say I love the way this shampoo smells!! I was using a super-expensive organic shampoo that smelled like grandma and didn't lather so I had no idea if I was actually cleaning my head or not. This shampoo not only smells great, it lathers well, I only have to use a small amount, and it helps my frizzes! I have naturally wiry hair and the organic shampoo actually accentuated the frizz! Ummm... Can you tell I'm bitter about buying expensive organic stuff that didn't work??
I only gave it 4 stars because it does contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is bad for your hair and can cause cancer (blah blah blah). But then again, so can the microwave and I refuse to stop microwaving my food.

Mueller Sports Medicine Reversible Thumb Stabilizer, Black, Measure Around Wrist- Fits 5.5 - 10.5 In
Support: The brace along the thumb is pretty stiff, holding your thumb still when your not using it. But it will flex if you need to grab something. If you are typing, you can loosen the thumb strap, which of course gives you less support. Or you learn to whack the spacebar with a slightly different motion. Which brings me to:
Adjustable: Two Velcro straps control the pressure on your hand and wrist. A third controls the thumb tension. In no time you have this adjusted so it's comfortable to your needs. It works great on my moderately large hand. A really tiny hand might be a problem. I wear it while I sleep, and most of my waking day. Which leads to...
Comfort: I'm truly amazed. Of course I take it off to shower, or cook (don't want it smelling like raw fish). But unlike the PROLITE® PULL-ON THUMB SUPPORT, X-Large, Beige one that I tried, I can wear this all day. It's light, it breathes, and you can make it just as tight as you want.
I took all of my braces to an appointment with a hand specialist. This is the one he liked, also.I'm a new mom with De Quervain's tenosynovitis I wanted a brace I could sleep in and also wear for part of the day. My first brace looked similar to this, but extended halfway up the forearm. At first I thought it'd be a good fit, but after wearing for a short while my thumb would get numb. (Say it fast: numb thumb, numb thumb, numb thumb!) It also was so big, it was hard to sleep comfortably or go about my day. It felt like I had a cast on my arm. Then I went the opposite direction and tried a soft neoprene glove-like brace. It didn't restrict my movements so much (or at all, for that matter), but it didn't breathe, and after 10 mins my hand was sweaty and I was dying to rip it off.
Now, this brace is perfect. I can wear it for hours with no numb thumb and no sweaty hands, and it allows me to work on the computer, drive, do anything I need to, and at the end of the day my pain is gone. Despite not being so long, it still limits wrist flexion (up and down) and completely prevents sideways movement in the wrist. The thumb strap can be very snug or very loose.
I only got one because thought I would use my old brace on the other hand, but this is so much better, I'll get a second one.The Mueller Thumb Stabilizer fits my wrist well and the 3 velcro adjustments allows good adjustments. It certainly has helped the reduce the pain from arthritis in the base of both my thumbs.
However, wearing them inhibits my ability to cook, type and many other movements involving my fingers as well as the stabilized thumbs. Using a laptop computer is almost impossible. As a woman with fairly small hands as well as fingers and thumbs that are not long, the "glove" portion fits far up and I can't bend my hand or the tip of my thumb. That means I wear it all night but take it off as soon as I start making breakfast. There's also irritation between my thumbs and index finger because of the thickness of the product.
The next problem I have is the superior velcro which keeps the stabilizer in place. It's practically impossible to pull apart when both thumbs are arthritic. The effort required to remove them causes more pain in the thumbs, so I tend to start the pulling process with my teeth yea, I know, yuck.
Overall, I decided on 4 stars because I've seen significant improvement despite the awkward fit on my hand. However, I will probably look for a smaller "female" oriented product.I was told that I have De Quervain's tenosynovitis as a result of overzealous one-handed leaf blowing this fall. So I purchased thumb support glove from my local Walmart. It is a bit cheaper, around $13.99. Even with 6% tax, it's still cheaper than Amazon and you don't have to wait for delivery.
This thumb support glove is just about perfect. It is black (for a nice cool look ;) ) and doesn't show dirt (I do wash it!). It has 3 velcro straps, one that straps in the thumb between the knuckle and joint. one near the bottom of my palm and one around the wrist. It as two long, very stiff support piece (probably metal) sown in. One support runs down the corner backside of the thumb, the other on the palmside. Both go all the way to the wrist. If I keep my thumb strapped in, it will keep the thumb-side of my hand completely immobilized. This is important for me as my pain isn't at the base of the thumb but starting at the wrist and travels a little up the forearm. My other thumb support glove only immobilize the thumb but do nothing for my wrist. I can feel intense pain if I rock hand from side to side.
I wear the glove 24-7 if I can. Whenever I wear my thumb "only" support glove sleeping, I wake up in terrible pain. With this glove, zero pain. It is comfortable and warm (bonus in winter!). I can do almost anything in it with some minor exceptions. Typing on a keyboard takes a bit of getting used but works. Like another reviewer said, you just have to move your thumb differently to press the space bar.
I gave this 5 stars but there is ONE problem with the glove. The bottom velcro strap at the wrist seems to be slightly different from the other two. Once it's been velcroed, it takes the strength of Hercules to un-velro it. It is even pulling up the little fibers from the strap. So now, I just keep it velcrored at the widest point. When I take the glove on and off, I unstrap the middle velcro and just slide my hand in and out. This also works well for me because if I make it too tight at the wrist, it pressure my pain points and makes it uncomfortable.
Overall, I love this glove and would have paid 3-4 times the amount to get the relief. I'm going to buy a second right away so that I can wear one while the other is in the wash. :DI got this brace for my wife whose DeQuervain's Tendonitis (New Mom Wrist) was the worst that her doctor had ever seen. It worked great and was really helping, but having to take it off and put it back on many times a day really wore out the velcro and it barely stays secured now and it's only been a month. Gonna try to find a similar one with better velcro
Neurexan 300mg Heel USA 100 Tablets
Sleep has been difficult. I've tried a number of different medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, most of which have made me feel logy, or have made me lethargic and absentminded. I have also felt dehydrated, noticed temporary changes to eyesight and digestion, had a feeling of depressiveness, or been edgy and even explosive on mornings after.
My Naturopathic doctor prescribed me Neurexan. I was amazed that it worked quickly, sending me into a pleasant, restorative natural slumber. It had no apparent negative side effects---no loginess, no lethargy, no memory problems, no dehydration or dry-eye, and no changes to my senses or bodily functions.
What I DID notice immediately, however, was a sense of calm, well-being, and ease which has been all-too rare of late. My problems haven't vanished, but they've receded from the forefront of my mind, allowing me to focus on the things I've needed to get done.I'd been having a tremendous amount of trouble sleeping before trying Neurexan. My MD/ND gave me a sample and it worked great. I've been using it since. There is no morning grogginess or fog.

I bought this along with several other natural supplements for anxiety and stress relief. L-Theanine is the REAL deal! It works usually with in 30 minutes and last several hours. There are no side effects, jittery feelings just a natural calm and when the effect wears off you feel nothing. The true test for me was just recently after not flying for almost 2 years because of my fear of having an anxiety attack on the plane and I hate long flights. The most I ever flew was 2 hours. I took a trip from the East Coast to the West Coast with some friends about a 5-5.5 hour flight. A 5 hour flight is a BIG deal for me to say the least! I had my L-Theanine on hand, took them before take off and I was good to go! Yaaaay! I did on the flight to the West Coast take New Chapter Supercritical Stress AdvantageTM -60 Softgelsfirst with my breakfast and then I popped a L-Theanine on the plane right after take off. My anxiety is mild and is normally triggered through my PMS and stress at home so I probably do not need both however I wanted to cover all basis. I suggest if you have severe or chronic to take both. Be sure to add Cal-Mag w/ B-Complex & Vitamin C 100 tabs. I was also PMS'ing during the trip and I was so calm the entire time do to L-Theanine! This stuff is a lifesaver get it!! Now if only I can do something about the occasional turbulence on the plane...tee hee. I always try to find something that can relieve stress naturally. Finally see this product, it really works. Half of a tablet makes me stress-free the whole day. I like this product. Thanks a lot !I have been studying for my comprehensive test for my masters and my anxiety has been so high it has been hard to study. My doctor had given me xanax, but it seemed to only knock me out and I woke up with the same anxiety the next day. I needed something that actually managed my anxiety without knocking me out. This does the trick. Since my anxiety level is very high, I often take one in the morning, one at lunch, and one at dinner. I still feel anxious, just in a "normal" way, with normal fears and worries. A friend of mine has taken her exams twice, and has failed each time do to anxiety. While we were studying the other day, her anxiety began to creep up, so she tried one. That night I received a message from her saying, "My anxiety is still under control. I am going to get those tomorrow!".DenTek Comfort Fit Dental Guard kit
Then I run across this one and so far.. 1 week in.. its been working great for me! I seriously don't even feel it in my mouth when I'm sleeping. I have read past reviews with concerns of people fearing they'll swallow it... but I haven't even come close to it so far. If anything, the other ones I've tried sloshed around my mouth more because the "wings" were irritating my mouth. These stayed exactly where they started from the beginning of the night to end. I'll see how they pass up on durability and write a review again maybe in 6 months. Great product as long as durability holds up (the package says each one should hold up to 6 months).
Only thing I might suggest for this product is that it doesn't come with a carrying case. Every other night guard does... even their older model came with it. Luckily they fit perfectly in the case that came with my SleepRight ones.. ironically, even better than the SleepRights fit in there.
PS: Make sure you get the ones with the blue bite pads. They have an older model and I've heard bad things about those.
UPDATE: I ranked it down to 4 stars because upon further usage.. I notice a little discomfort on the bottom of my lower gums. Not too bad and still by far the most comfortable nightguards I've used yet.
UPDATE 2: I've started wearing the guards upside down (having the groove cupping my upper teeth) and it has so far worked out better for me. I got this idea reading elsewhere from someone else doing the same. My gums have yet to get irritated like before and the nightguard stayed in place the whole night.
UPDATE 3: It has been about 2 or 3 weeks since my last update and things are still working perfectly for me. I'm sleeping all the way through the night without being woken up by an uncomfortable mouth piece. So looks like I'll stick with this one. I'm sharing my experience with everyone because I've gone through so many other night guards just to end up spitting them out in the middle of the night just so I can get some sleep. If I can make someone else's decision easier, at least all my sleepless nights (and money down the chute) will not have gone in vain. The main negative thing I notice now.. the notches that keep the sizing in place.. one side seems to not stay in place. It might just be the specific one I'm using (the second pair I have in the package seems to not have this problem), but at the very least.. it hasn't been that big of a problem for me but I can see it maybe being a problem for someone with a small mouth.
UPDATE 4: So I've now been on my third of fourth pair and there is one glaring consistent issue that holds the product back... the night guard has trouble staying at the adjusted size. Hopefully DenTeck can figure out a fix to make the adjustment tabs more sturdy or perhaps change the system in how these guards adjust in size. Luckily, my mouth is nearly the size that these night guards loosen up to. Having said that, I've still yet to find a night guard that works for me as well as these do.
UPDATE 5: On my 4th pair, due to the adjustment strap not holding its place, I chewed through one of the bite pads in 3 days (bite pad would not stay in place due to loose adjustment). It is now unusable so I have contacted Dentek about a replacement and on the issue of possibly designing future models with more secure adjustment straps. Its a shame that this product has this one glaring flaw. I'd knock this item down to 3.5 stars if I could, but don't want to give it a 3 since its served me well enough in the last 3 pairs.
UPDATE 6: I have been switching back and forth from this and the SleepRight nightguards, both have their perks. This one is more comfortable without a doubt, but the other one is definitely more durable. I've learned to cope with the other ones by moving the bite pads to the forward-most position so my jaw doesn't have to open up as wide. It works, will still test new products as they come available as neither are perfect.I absolutely LOVE this mouthpiece & am so glad to find it on Amazon! I have a serious problem with grinding my teeth & have never been able to use any of the custom fit mouthguards because they are so bulky they throw my jaw out,I feel like I'm gagging all night & I find I clench my teeth even more to keep them on.They are so expenisve & I was wearing them out at the rate of 1 in less than 3 months.
With this one,it sits on your bottom teeth, so I don't clench my teeth trying to keep it in,my jaw relaxes more. It's not as bulky so I don't feel like I'm gagging & have a mouth full of saliva all night. It's adjustable-that means that as you use it,it will stretch out & become flatter & bigger(as they all will), but you can just readjust the sizing to fit again. I don't have any trouble with it sliding around in my mouth. To clean it,I just run it under water & slide the pads back & forth on the adjustable piece to rinse it out. Sometimes I will drop it in a glass of mouthwash for the day to disinfect it.
When I say I have a serious problem grinding & clenching my teeth, I really mean it.I've had to deal with migraines from it & had to use muscle relaxers when the muscle in my jaw became so inflammed & irritated that the whole side of my face & neck swelled up! The back of a couple of molars are almost level with my gums because they are worn down so much and I cracked THREE molars in 1 year because I couldn't wear any of the night guards because of the gagging & jaw aches they caused. These are the best things I've found,I don't have any trouble wearing them. As I said, I was wearing the others out in less than 3 months. I bought a 2 pack of these last July 1st(2009) & the 2nd one is finally so worn out I need to replace it-believe me,that is a long time of wear for me!
UPDATE(3/2013): This is still the only nightguard I can use. I'm stiil just as happy with it as I was when I wrote the review. I'd be a LOT happier if I didn't have to wear one in the first place though! For the most part, these last me longer than 6 months, more like 9 months at least. But I also tend to try to get the most wear out of them that I can & I've noticed that when they get really thin, I begin to chew on them more at night, which reminds me to replace it. Anyone who tries this & says it's not comfortable, give it a week or so before you give up I think anything you put in your mouth at night is going to be uncomfortable until you get used to it, it just isn't normal. Even when I replace my old one with a new one, I have a couple of nights of re-adjusting to the difference in size in my mouth. I've also developed a habit of sucking on them in my sleep (or sucking my cheeks in), which makes them press up so tight against my cheeks that it leave sore spots but I think that is me & not the guard causing it, I'm having big issues with insomnia which makes be grind my teeth more. Like I said, I'd rather not wear one at all, but these are the most comfortable I've found for my mouth . I've become so used to wearing it that I can't sleep without it, sometimes I will forget & go to bed without it, but I keep feeling likes something wrong until I realize it's not in my mouth.

I have tried three different "custom fit" night-time night guards, but could not get one to fit my mouth comfortably. They were bulky, and they threw my jaw out of line. Someone recommended I try this smaller ready to wear DenTek Comfort Fit and my problems were over! It's less bulky, than the "custom fit" guards, takes very little time to get used to, doesn't need boiling water to fit the guard to your mouth. The price is right, too. I highly recommend this product to others who are having trouble getting the "custom fit" guards to fit comfortably in their mouths.Read Best Reviews of DenTek Comfort Fit Dental Guard kit Here
I have spent approximately $600 in night guards in the last six months. Boil, no-boil, custom-made: I tried them all. THIS is the ONLY guard that I found comfortable enough to give me a good night's sleep. This guard is similar in concept to the SleepRight guard, in which it physically prevents the teeth from touching at night through the use of molar bite pads. I could not stand to wear the "boil-fit" or dentist-made guards because of their bulk (I have a strong gag reflex), and the SleepRight guard pads dug into my gums causing sores. This guard is designed to be worn on on the lower teeth, and uses a minimal amount of material to keep the teeth apart.Keep in mind that I have a small mouth and do not have a heavy grinding problem those with a more severe grinding problem may want to seek a more substantive guard. However, this guard is ideal for those who prioritize comfort in a night guard. My only regret is that I wish I had found this guard earlier. I thank DenTek for allowing me to sleep comfortably again!
UPDATE: There are apparently two versions of this guard. I originally purchased the updated (package copyright 2008) version, which made significant improvements over the old guard. I (unintentionally) purchased the old-style guard (package copyright 2007) as a back-up, and it's rather stiff, bulky, and uncomfortable to wear. Be sure to purchase the guard that has the blue molar pads (as opposed to white)I now can understand the original complaints about this guard.

I have been grinding my teeth for 15 yrs and I've mostly used the boil-fit night guards to treat my bruxism. I recently picked up the Dentek comfort-fit and was surprised that it actually stayed in my mouth and did the trick. Unfortunately, after 3-4 months of using this... the access plastic has irritated my gums and they began to bleed. The excess plastic is actually quite uncomfortable... I'm going to look for something similar without so much excess plastic (smaller size or profile).* Update on 12/14/09
After writing my initial 2 star review, I must say that this mouthguard has been my go-to guard for over a year! It irritated my gums in the beginning but not anymore. And amazingly, I grind a lot but it's still in one piece! It's the most comfortable guard I've owned! So I've upped the review to four stars! My wife just got a nite guard from the dental office and I prefer this one!
SnoozeShade Original - the breathable sleep and sun shade (UPF50+/max UV protection) for strollers
Before I had it, I was using pegs (!) to hold down a black pashmina in a desperate attempt to shield my 5 month old from the sun (even in the winter), and allow him to sleep in his stroller. The Snooze Shade changed everything. It's small enough to keep in the basket underneath my stroller (Bugaboo Bee), and I just whip it out when he's tired and we're about to start walking. It fits perfectly, and stays securely in place. It takes about one minute to put it on. He is ALWAYS asleep within minutes. I couldn't live without it now, and am so relieved I sorted the problem before summer! This really works and I wish I would have bought in sooner. Best naps on the go especially if you combine it with the Kids Earmuff! My wife and I had only one question; does the SnoozeShade let enough air in for our son to breathe comfortably? The answer is yes!I brought this because I was always worried taking my son out during the hot summer days. This covered the stroller and let him sleep with out the sun bothering him. I still was very careful not to keep him out in the sun for to long and always applied sun screen. All and all it worked for us .

This product is not as powerful as I thought it would be. I've tried Valerian before and I did feel a calming effect on my muscles and it did help me sleep better BUT those were the capsules instead. I have tried also Passionflower and I had liked Valerian better, but for some reason I don't feel like this liquid version does much. The only true thing that makes me truly sleepy is Melatonin but then you have to be more careful since it's a hormone and not a very natural product. In the end, all these products provide only a brief temporary calming effect to aid sleep, don't expect it to cure anxiety or anything like that I suggest, don't spend money on these remedies and invest it on a good counselor instead.
On a side note, if you do try this product, be ready for a not very pleasing taste, it's rather very strong. I like pouring it on my chamomile tea.
Sound Oasis Travel Sound Therapy System
Construction is durable, with well made plastic components. Not indestructible, but tougher than your typical big-box electronics item. Should you want to plug the unit in, several wall adapters are included for various parts of the world.
The included sounds are pretty good, although some are gimmicky. Most are on a reasonably long loop. Would be nice if the volume went a bit higher, but is more than sufficient as long as you don't expect to place the unit across the room from your bed.
The time and alarm functions are pretty standard, though there are some nice features for travellers who frequently move between the same time zone. You can set an "away time" and an "away alarm". On batteries, the unit's backlight displays when accessing functions. When plugged in, it is on all the time. The backlight is brighter than it probably should be. That said, we are using this as our primary alarm clock at home.
As of September 2008, there doesn't appear to be a comparable product on the market. The price we paid ($90) seemed steep, but after using the unit while travelling, it was a bargain.
I highly recommend this product.
UPDATE: August 2009 After changing the batteries, the unit went a little haywire. I emailed Sound Oasis and they were kind enough to help me solve the problem. Should you have similar troubles, there is a reset button inside the battery compartment. Less obvious is that the battery compartment cover must be closed for the unit to function.
We've used the unit on full volume every night for almost a year still works and sounds brand new. Each sound loops for only 3-6 seconds, which emphasizes the repetition and makes it hard to lose yourself in the ambiance.
Over half of the sounds have obvious salient sub-patterns that intrude and prevent the primary sound from being soothing.
The speaker is very small (1 inch?), which produces no low frequency at all, making even the white nose seem squeaky.
The dial's blue backlighting is totally unreadable at night.
I liked fewer than half of the sounds. Squawking birds, thunderstorms, a cacophony of frogs -these keep me awake nicely.
My conclusion: save your money and buy the cheapest sound generator on the market. This product isn't any better; it just costs more.

I bought this because i have a hard time sleeping. I had the Brookstone Model similar to this, and this one works much better. It has twice as many sounds,as the Brookstone, and three different plugs for travel anywhere. Some peaple say the backlite is to bright, but that is not the case. It has a very low blue backlite. The ONLY complaint i have, the same with the Brookstone,is max volume is not very loud. I bought a pair of $5.00 pc speakers, hooked them up to unit, and now it is very loud in stereo. Price is a bit steep, but in line with the Brookstone. Overall a nice unit in a compact size. I wont sleep without it.Want Sound Oasis Travel Sound Therapy System Discount?
