I have been sleeping on orthopedic neck pillows for about 12 years. I never had trouble finding a decent pillow until recently.

I tried the tempurpedic hated it because it squishes down to one inch from the heat. I tried the d-core pillow but I got pain in my neck it's just a strange design. I don't do well with memory foam pillows because of the heat, again, they tend to get flat and I actually need the support.

After trying about six different pillows over a period of two months, I gave this a try. It's fantastic. It doesn't flatten because it's not memory foam and the precision cut foam tubes can be changed. I started with the mid-firm one but had to change to the soft (the instructions do say to start with the softest one). No more tossing in bed, no more pain in the neck (literally).

This pillow is perfect especially because you can adjust the firmness by changing out the cores. I am absolutely delighted with it and so is my husband. He doesn't have to hear me complain that I can't sleep.

U P D A T E: I have been using this for almost 6 months now and I have to look for another pillow. I'm in between the 2nd and the 3rd cores. The 2nd is too soft and the 3rd is too hard. I am having a very hard time adjusting. No longer happy with pillow. Too bad, it worked wonders at the beginning.

My husband and I suffer from stiff neck pain from time to time. We need good neck support while we sleep. We have tried alot of pillows over the years. Water, buckwheat, Tempura to name just a few. After reading the reviews on this pillow I felt comfortable in purchasing a couple of them for us. Mistake. These pillows are made out of VERY soft foam. Even with the choice of changeable inserts the pillow itself does not have support for your head. I only opened one pillow hoping to return the other which I did without any problems. I was very disappointed by the quality with the price I paid for this pillow.

I purchased this pillow and it arrived in about a week! To set the cores into the pillow was very easy. The cover that is supplied with the pillow is not very easy to put on however, the cover DOES hold tightly to the pillow which is great. As noted in the instructions, it seems to be best to start off with the softer cores and work up to the more firm ones. Once I switched over to the next level core, the first night I awoke twice to reposition. The second night I slept though the night and likewise since then. I have not upgraded the core and I have yet to have any neck aches.

I use a CPAP machine and have arthritis in my spine (and neck) and this pillow is working very well for me. I am thrilled that I finally can sleep all night and have no neck pain in the morning. I had originally asked Customer Service if they had such a pillow, little did I know that there was one in the works!!! I am very, very pleased!!!

I've been unable to sleep well due to shoulder pain for over a year because of pinched nerves in my neck. I would only sleep for a short time before waking with terrible shoulder pain every night. I've had this MARVELOUS pillow for a little over a month and I sleep through the night every night! It's such a blessing. It takes a couple of weeks to get used to having such a different-feeling pillow, but I followed the directions on which core to start out with and the pain is gone. I changed cores after a couple of weeks for a bit more firmness. I love going to bed again. :-)

I bought this pillow to alleviate my chronic neck pain after reading all the positive reviews. However, after using this pillow for a week, my little nagging neck pain turned into a major pain!! The foam rolls are a good idea except that the two firmest ones are too firm. They feel like rocks under your neck, and the soft one squishes down to nothing! The pillow is just cheap quality foam, and there's virtually no pillow in the middle, so your head ends up at an awkward angle! Also, the foam material that the pillow is made out of is very cheap quality compared to other memory foam or tempurpedic pillows! Very disappointing for the price!!

I ran across this particular blend when I was in graduate school and was having problems sleeping. For me, the fact that this melatonin is blended with ginseng is what seems to make it effective. I have tried a number of other sleep aids and none of them work quite as well as this one. I remember one time in particular I tried to save some money and buy straight melatonin. I didn't notice any real changes until my cousin asked me what I was using. I was shocked when she said she noticed a difference. I of course denied using anything, but she went on to say that my eyes were alot darker last year, and how lighter they've gotten now. WOW! Inside I was jumping around, lol

Maybe it is because I only paid $4 for mine, on clearance, so I wasn't expecting a lot out of it, but I LOVE this thing. My son held onto it 24/7 for the first three days he had it. ...And he still loves keeping it on and with him at night time, every night. It's loud enough to drowned out the sound of my husband's snore and let me sleep, but quiet enough where it won't keep anyone awake.(I keep it on the ocean waves) Both of my kids love the stars, especially the color change effect. I saw someone say it was fragile, but I have a two year old and four year old who play with it, throw it, and drop it all the time, and it still works perfectly. I also have had the same batteries in it since I got it right after Christmas, with heavy use, so I am not sure why someone would think they need new ones after 2 4 nights.

If I had read the reviews first, I would not have gotten mine, so I am REALLY glad I got mine first.

I bought mine at Walgreens for $9.99 and it shines colored stars and a moon all around the room. The housing and sound quality is OK not great but the price is fair. My son loves the heartbeat sound. There are also birds and ocean. We left it on all night by accident and it's still running. Good stuff.

I like the item as a nightlight it projects a moon and stars onto the wall/ceiling with various color LED lights. I believe there are five colors to choose from. It will only stay one color at a time it does not cycle through them, as some other products do.

I did not feel that the light was too bright, in fact I thought it could've stood to be a little brighter... but this is more of a "cute" item than functional the stars look great on the wall, but it doesn't really illuminate the room itself like a standard nightlight would. Also, depending on which color you choose, the light is varying degrees of brightness... I normally leave it on green/yellow, which are the brighter ones; red is a very dim color.

The product also has "soothing" nighttime sounds you can listen to: rain, bubbling brook, crickets/owls, the ocean, a heartbeat, and chirping birds (not a night noise? but ok). The major problem with the product, however, is that the sounds are FAR too loud, even when the volume is turned all the way down. It's like the volume that you'd listen to on a radio or something during the day.

I'm certain I could never fall asleep with any of the noises on. Muffling it with a blanket or something doesn't seem to do much good, and then the sound is distorted anyway, so it may as well be off. Putting it in the room next door might solve the noise problem, but then the light isn't useful.

I wish the volume had a knob, so you could turn it up/down, because then you could set the volume at an appropriate level for sleeping (i.e. just barely audible). The problem is that it only has buttons to go up/down, and the range just isn't suitable.

I would recommend the product just as a fun toy for a child's room for the star projection, but if you need a regular nightlight, this isn't the best option. And I definitely don't recommend it as a "white noise" or sound machine if you want it to fall asleep to (unless you're very hard-of-hearing, lol).

This was a purchase for my little girl. I have no idea what expectations those that gave this a poor rating had. Evidently they were overly high. We absolutely love it. We just got it today. Love love it. I was worried about the volume level bc of past reviews. The sounds on the low volume is not loud to us but we are used to running a fan or window air for noise so to us, it is not loud at ALL. It is smaller than I had expected (I did not read the measurements prior to purchase) but in retrospect I am glad it is the size it is, it will sit nicely on a bed side table. It is about the size of an ostrich egg. It does not glow blue like the picture, this part is silver and does not glow. Only the stars and moon glow. It is made of all plastic and runs off batteries. It costs 15 dollars so I was NOT expecting anything more. The stars emit 5 different colors to choose from on the ceiling...green, blue, white/multi, pink or the red that cycles through all of the colors. The sounds are very realistic. I like it so well that I think I will purchase one for my room as well.

I have 3 sound machines in my house, and I actually like this one the best. The only caveat I have is that you DO get what you pay for, so does this sound like an actual rainstorm right there in the bedroom? No. But it doesn't sound too bad either. I have a Conair SU7 and I can hardly stand to listen to all but one of the "white" noises on it. I also love that this little egg gets loud: another reviewer found it too loud, but it is perfect for masking the noises that wake up the baby when the rest of the house is still awake. I put it in the room where I already had the First Years Sounds for Silence machine that gives off a pleasant background noise and masks nothing and the two together make a perfect sleep cocoon cacophony. I only wish it could plug into the wall. Running all night and for 2 naps a day I am replacing the (rechargable) batteries about every 10-14 days.

I like this product, it sends me off fairly quickly but does not keep me asleep. I'm not afraid to use it when ever I need it even if I won't get a full night sleep or if I wake up in the night. It does not seem to make groggy the next day. I do use three sprays though instead of the recommended two.

I have tried homeopathic remedies in the past and have never really found any that I noticed a good difference using them. This however changed my opinion of homeopathic remedies. I have tried so many different vitamin and tea blends to help me get to sleep. My mind is so full of running thoughts I can't turn it off most nights... I'm always reluctant to try a homeopathic remedy out of fear they will not work. This product not only worked, it worked so well that I found I only needed half the dose the package recommended. BodyMedia LINK Armband Weight Management System

I have had my new BodyMedia BW for several days now. Unfortunately, I tried to pre-order it on Amazon but was one of many who were told it would take 1-3 weeks to ship on the release date. Bummer. I ended up ordering it directly from BodyMedia instead. I am a Mac user and initially needed to download one driver for the unit from the BM site and then Java to get the Activity Manager to work from Safari. None of these items will work with Firefox, but not a big deal. Overall, a very easy set-up that only took 10 minutes even with the downloads.

I find that wearing the unit is very comfortable so far for the entire day and while sleeping. I remove it to sync and shower. It is also comfortable under clothes.

Syncing with my iPhone is relatively easy. Just one push on the unit while the app is open and my phone and the most recent calorie/step count/activity data will be displayed within the app. One minus though, once your phone times out to conserve battery you lose your Bluetooth connection and must complete the sync again. Not a big deal, but it could be improved. The capabilities of the app are more limited to the on-line AM, but I am hoping in time it will be upgraded.

You must use the USB cord to officially download/sync your unit to the Activity Manager (website based). You cannot yet do so with the Bluetooth capability of your computer. Another bummer, but possibly will improve in time. Also, be aware that your food input and calorie information on your phone will not automatically appear on-line within the AM, you must do a hard-line sync with the USB. Another little minus, but again minor. One the plus side, current data from the on-Line AM WILL immediately update into your app.

I have seen some comments where people are not happy with the AM food list and search capabilities for tracking calorie intake. I have used Spark People, LiveStrong, and the Lose It! app for iPhone and I am so far generally pleased with the on-line food list (as well as the app). In addition, entering my own food is very easy and the nutritional input area is very user friendly if you are into the details like I am.

So far, I am very surprised at how accurate the activity and sleep data is. It is exciting to see the spikes from a vigorous workout, but even walking up a few flights of stairs will show as a quick "spike", confirming that you did something more than your baseline. It also reflects long periods of sitting or laying down...need to keep those to a minimum :)

The Activity Manager interface is well laid out and shows general numbers and charting. Overall, polished and easy to use.

I also wanted to add that the customer service for BM has been satisfactory. This company appears to be trying very hard to make all of us new users (and current users) happy with our devices. There is also a Facebook page where the customer service reps will answer questions and are very responsive to users. This has helped me to learn more about the device and answer more questions. They also list promotions for sales from the BM website and discuss releases for other retailers where the unit is available.

One last downside...the price. At the current rate of two-fifty for a unit they are not cheap. Certainly more than I wanted to spend, but for the motivation is worth it for many users struggling to really get a grasp on the calorie-out part of the weight loss/maintenance equation.

***UPDATE***

I have been using this unit now for about 6 weeks, and I continue to be satisfied. The biggest surprise for me has been that I needed to INCREASE my caloric intake when my weight plateaued for two weeks. I was able to run a detailed report from the data that has been collected over several weeks and it was clear that I had too large of a calorie deficit each day. Show me another weight loss/health product that can do THAT! The reports are a great tool. A recent update to the iPhone app has just been released as well which fixes some bugs and adds to the utility of the app's use.

I've been wearing the new BodyMedia BW armband for about a week now, and although it was a rocky, frustrating set up I'm loving it now. I starting wearing this right after Thanksgiving and I've already lost the extra turkey and pumpkin pie pounds I gained thanks to this!

Due to some of the other reviews posted, I think some clarifications are in order. First, all the data that is being collected is actually stored on the armband. The only thing the phone does is act as a display of data that's on the armband (just like how the watch/display works with previous versions, by the way). But it's able to do a lot more than the old watch display by taking additional information like the food log and give you an up to date snapshot to show if you're consuming more or less calories than you're burning. Just like with previous versions, you still have to "download" the official data to the Bodymedia activity manager on your computer via a USB cable.

You do have to press the button on the armband to link it to your phone BEFORE you open up the app. Then when it links, the phone will display your latest steps, calories burned, etc. I do this once or twice during the day to see where I'm at and its super easy to link it each time before. If it were constantly connected (as another reviewer indicated he thought that's how it should work) it would kill the battery life of both your phone and your armband bluetooth drains battery life. If you are in an exercise session (say, at the gym), you go to the workout section of the app, and the phone and armband stay connected for that entire session so you can get real time data and work out till you've reached a threshold of burned calories. Super easy.

There's no doubt the setup instructions need improvement. I've seen on other sites that customer service can help, though. As much as I like the convenience of bluetooth it does drain the battery life of the armband. I used to wait two weeks between charging, now I have to charge every 3 or 4 days.

But overall I love this version of the armband. It's a great tool. Should you upgrade from the previous version to the BW version? If you've got a supported smart phone and you like being able to check in to see how you're doing or want real time info when you're at the gym then yes. If you're ok with using the watch display combined with the previous version -then stick with it.

I was so excited to receive the new Bodymedia FIT bluetooth version, however I am really disappointed. I love technology, but this seems to be much less user friendly than previous versions and they have lost some vital functionality. My main issues:

1. If you turn the phone off or multi-task to another app, the Bluetooth does not stay connected to the phone. In order to reconnect you have to push the button on your armband. If you could hit "refresh" in the app and have it reconnect that would be fine, but having to push the button on the armband is very cumbersome.

Depending on what I am wearing, I can't hit the button through my clothes. So I

have to reach under my shirt (imagine how that looks!) to push a button, which makes a not so quiet beep-beep-beep tone every time I want to check how many calories I have burned.

2. I am not a fan of the BodyMedia food interface so I track my food through MyFitness Pal and enter my calories consumed using the daily estimate feature. This feature is not available on the app. In order to enter just the number of calories consumed you have to use the web interface. That means I can't use the app for food logging.

3. The old version that had the display unit showed your current calorie burn rate in calories per minute. There is no way to see this information on the app. I have had issues with my armband showing abnormally high burn rates while driving in the car. I used the display to monitor this, and would take it off or flip over the armband if I saw it happening. There is no way to check your current burn rate during an activity. You have to wait until you sync your armband at home and try to remember what time it was.

4. Workouts: Several options for it to alert you when you have completed a work out based on minutes, calories or intensity. This is a nice feature. However once your workout is done it is not tracked anywhere. There is no way to review current or past workouts.

I hope BodyMedia does a lot of work to improve the usability. There are so many cool ways to use technology to track fitness/health, and this one just falls flat.

I bought my Body Media armband through Jenny Craig when I joined about 9 weeks ago. I feel it has been an invaluable tool, as well as a great motivator for me. My depression had been bad much worse than I realized, in fact. I was silently suicidal (with plans intact) and could not snap out of it. Lumiday is great! The people over the phone are really nice. I never would have tried it if it wasn't for the free 15 day trial featured on their website.

The first week that I got it, I wasn't taking 2 capsules a day like it recommended so I didn't notice anything. I remembered reading that after the 15 days of starting the free trial they would automatically start billing me so I called to cancel it because I wasn't seeing any results. I ordered this cooling pad to take with me on a camping trip, but it is MUCH too heavy to lug around. Used at home, I found it to be pleasantly cool... for 10 minutes. I timed it. After 10 minutes it had absorbed my body heat and started radiating it back. So rather than simply having to flip my pillow over to the cool side, I had to wake up enough to remove it from my pillowcase, let it cool off for several minutes, flip it over and reinsert it into the pillowcase. Flipping my pillow is easier & I can do it without having to come fully awake. Chilling it in the refrigerator makes it work a little better, but not for much longer. Also, there is no way to keep it from sliding around in the pillowcase, so it ends up bunched up at the bottom. Unfortunately I threw out the packaging ot I would return it. Oh well. It seemed like a good idea but has been a disappointment.

We use it for our kids on really hot nights to help them get to sleep. Allergies make it impossible for us to open windows and the air conditioner is expensive and not very effective upstairs. I bought one cooling pad for my husband to see if it would work and it did so we bought 3 more now each family member has one. The down side to it is once it warms up, it takes quite a while for it to be able to cool again but generally my kids are asleep before it gets warm and that is all that matters to me.

I've had a Chillow for over a year and have found it to hold the coolness for quite some time. It cracked along the edge, recently, and my husband patched it. A few months later, it cracked in a different spot and quite a bit of water leaked onto our mattress cover and sheets, so I decided it was time for something new. So I ordered gel cooling pad, thinking I was saving ten dollars. When it arrived I was quite disappointed. The vinyl pad is divided into eight sections and each section contains gel. It is so thin that I know it will heat up in no time. It might be possible to cool it down in the fridge every day, but I don't want to be bothered. I always just left the Chillow in my bed and it was cool by nightfall. It was big and I could put a couple of cups of water in it when it became too thin to keep me cool. I am returning this Gel Cooling Pad and ordering a Chillow, instead. This time I will try using waterbed conditioner when I fill it with water. Hopefully, that will give it a longer life.

It's ok but does not stay cool for long and then you are sleeping on a hot plastic mess which is not pleasant. it is also very heavy. Maybe could be used as a chair pad if you get up and down alot?? Dunno, as it takes a long time to get cool again. Not the answer I was looking for.

I may just decide to freeze it anyway since it is useless the way it is and hope for the best for at least a few uses. Weighs to much to send it back for a refund.

I'm a miserable jerk, and have no manners, temperance,or patience. I have a crap job installing heavy equipment in filthy cardboard box factories.
