Thermoskin Carpal Tunnel Brace with Dorsal Stay, Right

I had such bad carpal tunnel syndrome that I couldn't sleep at night because my hand went very uncomfortable numb. After one night using this brace I was sleeping easier and after a few nights, my CTS was better during the day as well! I am a nanny to a 7 year old, 3 year old, and 3 month old. I also bring my 7 month old with me so there is A LOT of lifting/arm&wrist usage and this brace definitely helped with my performance.

It's sturdy, very well made, excellent velcroe, and makes my wrist/hand feel soooo goood!!

I am very lucky, however, that I ordered the correct size and wish they had a better guide to knowing what size you should order as you cannot return the brace if opened.

I use this brace not for carpal tunnel but to support a wrist weakened by overwork on the computer. It's great both for when I work on a computer and for when I do yardwork. The metal insert can be removed, and my spouse also straightened (with a hammer) the metal insert so that it was optimally comfortable for my wrist.

This is a durable product that can be machine washed, regular cycle on cold /air dried (remove the metal insert before machine washing).

I was looking for a comfortable brace with a good velcro and received one out of the two. The velcro on this thing rocks. BUT, the brace is uncomfortable and this thing is super bulky. It minimally helps with the pain. I would not get this brace again.

BED OF NAILS 1919 Mat, Green - THE ORIGINAL with 8820 spikes

I'm not totally sold on this acupressure mat. It supposedly alleviates pain and brings on a state of euphoria. Perhaps the latter part is true. I do feel very relaxed while laying on the mat and have actually fallen asleep on it a few times only to wake up a hour later.

When I received the package I was a little surprised at how sharp the pressure nails really are. This is definitely to be kept out of reach of children. I laid it out and went shirt off my first time. It did hurt at first. It was a burning sensation that eventually subsided. And the first time I got up from the mat I thought my back was on fire. After multiple uses I did get used to all this and actually found it quite enjoyable.

The problem is; does it work? I cannot answer that. I can give you my background. I am a very active person. I golf 3-4x a week, jog regularly, and lift weights at the gym sometimes doing all 3 activities in 1 day. Earlier this year I strained my upper back muscle. If you've ever done this it's quite painful. This product never crossed my mind until I saw it at a very good price. After doing some research on the product I concluded that it's worth a shot. I also have trouble sleeping at night. I wake up probably 3-4x a night and never get a good nights rest.

Results:

The bed of nails did not help me with my sleeping problems. I still wake up regularly through the night. It also did not help with my muscle pains. I've been using it for 3 weeks now. It also hasn't really helped with loosening my tight back muscles either. I can vouch for the relaxation part, however. I lay on it for 20-30 mins with music playing and I feel at peace. I collect my thoughts and feel very calm.

I went through the Bed of Nails website and found that they don't actually claim it does anything. They throw around the word 'may' everywhere. Like a lot of Western medicine it's really up to the person to make up there own mind. Do magnets for pain relief actually work? I don't think so, but there are proponents out there for that too. At this point I would just caution the buyer.

The Bed of Nails has literally changed my life. A bi-daily routine for me, standing on the bed in the morning awakens me and gives me a sense of calm relaxation and a jolt of energy to start my day. At night, the bed soothes my sore muscles, erasing any sense of tension, and lulls me into a deep sleep. After many years of doing chiropractic, massage, acupuncture and yoga to counteract a neck injury sustained in a car accident, the bed has absolutely blown my mind with the benefits over the long term and far surpassed all other remedies and practices. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving. The Bed of Nails pillow, which I just started using, is my instant happiness delivering a rush of endorphins surging through my body, it always puts a smile on my face. The sense of well being and endorphin high is so appealing there should be a warning label!

I was given the bed of nails as a gift. I stand alot for my job and I am overweight so I frequently had lower back pain. I had no idea what to expect from the bed of nails and when I first lay on it topless it was quite painful. I then put on a t-shirt and laid on the mat and found it to be pleasant. I used it for a week or two every night with a t-shirt on and as I got used to it I lifted my shirt bit by bit until I didn't need the shirt any more. Now, it doesn't hurt and it relaxes me. The list of ailments the bed of nails is said to cure is extensive and I was hoping it would make me sleep better, but it didn't. It relaxes me and has even helped me fall asleep but I still wake up and I have scratched my fingers on the plastic nails while adjusting the mat. However, I don't get back pains anymore. I didn't even notice at first. Then it dawned on me that I hadn't been bothered by my back in days (weeks now). I use it as I lay on bed every night and I feel more relaxed in general and my back feels fabulous. I think you may have to use it a few weeks before you notice the difference, but once you do you will love it. If it hurts use a t-shirt until you grow accustomed to it. I highly recommend.

I was a bit skeptical, but the reviews were great so I went ahead and bought this. I'm so glad I did. The more I use it, the more I like it. Be aware that the product package picture here on Amazon is of the old packaging and the original product. But what you will get when you order is the new stuff.

Sorry to say, I much prefer the original product.

The nice thing about this night cream is that it is mostly organic, free of parabens, is not terribly expensive and comes in a beautiful purple pump.

The cream is a light white, very little fragrance (great for the sensitive such as myself.) My only complaint is that this cream is not very dense and sinks right in. It doesn't moisturize well in winter and is a bit light for my skin. In fact, I can use it as a day cream as it doesn't leave a residue. For the younger person, this night cream may be just what you need--not too heavy. The ingredients are top-notch; I only wish it was more hydrating for my skin. If you want a night cream that sinks in and is not heavy, this may be just what you need.

The old formula was great, used the cleanser to. The new "more sustainable" formula makes my face feel like is has a film on it and it doesn't absorb as well. the bottle is also a pain, hardly any comes out when I pump.

The Doctor's NightGuard Dental Protector for Night Time Teeth Grinding - 1 EA

These mouthguards work well for people who grind their teeth at night. However, a couple things you need to know. The size large worked for me. I am 5' 10" and 150 pounds, not a large guy. The size small worked for my wife, who is small. The other thing is it takes a bit of practice to get a good fit. You aren't likely to get it right the first time. You might want to buy a pair and figure the first one is just practice. Then, when you have a fit, trim it so it isn't too clunky in your mouth.

I do not have joint problems just teeth grinding so getting the $400 custom fit seemed a bit absurd the other reviewers apparently did not read the directions or the manufacturer has modified the directions to account for their concerns dipping the mold in cold water for one second eliminates the "scalding" problem and using your fingers to mold the product and "sucking" in as directed really helps shape the mold to fit your teeth and the shape of your mouth. I also followed the directions and trimmed the mold before boiling in hot water so it did not go beyond where my teeth are (wisdom teeth gone). It took no time at all for me to get use to the mold No real complaints other than I grind my teeth in the first place and thus need something like this.

I have been at the dentist almost six months trying to get a night guard, but my experience was not good. So far, they have made three of them without any success. All of themstarted moving all my teeth and the biting started getting spoiled. On top of that, the cost of such night guard was U$ 340. My first night guard was the really expensive one from the dentist. It mysteriously disappeared one morning and I used a thicker, old-school whitening tray, until I could think of something else, because the one from the dentist just wouldn't stay in, so I didn't want to replace it. I later discovered the Doctor's Nightguard The Doctor's NightGuard Dental Protector for Night Time Teeth Grinding, Medium, 1 each and perfected how to make it fit me the best. They've since redesigned and I don't like the new design as muchDoctors Nightguard Mouth Piece, Small 1 Ea (ends up a bit bulkier feeling and less customizable), but I definitely prefer it to Splintek's.

I tried the Splintek Sleep Right night guard and it is completely flimsy. I knew the moment I took it out of the box that it wouldn't stay in. It was more like a noodle, so I was amazed to go online and read great reviews for it. I knew it wouldn't stay, once I'd go to asleep. The thin part in the front has no rigidity of its own(as it appears to in the photo) and just flops around. There is nothing to prevent this from slipping to the outsides of the teeth, out of place or falling out of one's mouth. It's possible this might be good for someone who needs to prevent clenching when awake, but, like I said, there's no way this would stay in place in my mouth.

A better choice, in my opinion, is the Doctor's Nightguard, which sells for around $25 all over the internet. I've bought it at Walgreen's for $24.99. It comes in 3 different sizes. It took me bit of practice to get it right, but the company will mail you a new one if you mess yours up. I've seen some bad reviews for it--someone was appalled at the idea of sticking a boiling hot piece of rubber/plastic in their mouth and said they couldn't make much of an impression, but I follow the boiling instructions exactly and, surprisingly enough, that one second in cold water(after boiling, per the instructions) makes it more tolerable to me than Latte or a cup of tea(which I can't handle hot).

Some tricks to help in making it...I pull off the blue thing(on the older one) and throw it out, before I start. I just have to be extra careful to not bite using my teeth or I would bite right through while it's warm. I use my fingers to help form and also create suction using my mouth to form the sides. Then, if there's a lot of extra, I trim a bit and reboil for another 30 or 40 seconds, cool for one second by dunking in cold water and put it back in and create suction using my mouth and tongue to really form it to my teeth. This might all sound really strange and complicated, but, in all, the whole process takes me about 15 minutes and I do it about every 6-8 months, when I chew through one.

My husband prefers the somewhat bulky appearance of the night guard to the "horrendous" sound that my grinding makes(I have to believe him because I've never heard myself). Plus, I put it on after the lights are out and I'm ready to drift off--it's like a pacifier. It always stays in place, all night--no more headaches. I would highly recommend the Doctor's Nightguard!

I needed a whitening tray and decided to go with this model even though its meant for use as a grinding guard. I think it's a little expensive but if you can mold it right the first time (not sure if you can remold a second) it will not disappoint. I like this model because it has a solid bottom that you cannot bite through which is advantageous because I always end up biting through the cheap sports mouth guards.

To properly mold this to your teeth and mouth you boil this in water as per instructions. I boiled a coffee cup of water in the microwave and dropped the NightGuard into the cup keeping it submersed for the entire recommended duration. Then I picked it out with a fork and dunked it...for only a brief moment, maybe one complete second....into a cup of cold water to dissipate the heat...don't worry, this will not harden the plastic. I put it in my mouth and bit down gently and molded it to my teeth by pushing the bottom up against my teeth and pushing the plastic upwards to cover my gums in front and behind my teeth onto my upper pallet. I waited momentarily and then placed the NightGuard into the cup of cold water again to allow it to harden.

If the plastic does not soften then you didn't use boiling water or didn't keep it in the boiling water long enough. Be mindful to keep it submerged for the recommended duration or just a little longer. Too long...i.e., 10 minutes...will cause the plastic to lose its basic shape and make the molding process more difficult; not long enough will not allow the plastic to get soft enough to mold. Submerging in cold water for a second will dissipate the heat and you wont be scalded when you put it in your mouth and it wont reharden the soft plastic either. Don't make the mistake of dunking in cold water for too long...one second will suffice.

In short, BOIL water...submerge for recommended duration... remove...dunk QUICKLY into cold water...remove and place into mouth and mold by biting down all the way against the bottom, then push and smooth out soft plastic over the gums and soft pallet...close mouth and gently suck to finish fitting...remove and put into cold water for hardening.

The instructions are very clear and easy to read. Follow them and you will have a perfect fitting mouth guard or tray for whitening your teeth...incidentally, I use 22% nitewhite ACP...works great...

I went into so much detail because some of the reviews obviously indicate that instructions were not followed...literally.

I have always had issues with puffy bags under my eyes when I haven't had enough sleep or have consumed too much sodium. Most of the time, I have had success with the usual remedies cold water/ice cubes, eye massage, tea bags, and cucumbers. But they're all a time-consuming and sometimes messy PITA to do. I was so excited to get this pillow home! I had just been diagnosed with severe apnea and was desperate to sleep on my side. But I was very disappointed with the pillow. The side cutouts seemed good in theory but only if your head was gigantic! The cutout wasn't near deep enough to allow my mask to hang over the side as designed. The pillow was ROCK hard and 6-8 inches high. There was no way I could sleep comfortably on this pillow and have my neck at such a steep angle. It went back immediately.

This pillow travels with my husband wherever we go (in fact, we bought a backup after we left one in a hotel and were lucky they found it and returned it!)

If you travel with yours I recommend dying the pillowcase something other than white. In fact, I'd love to be able to find pillowcases in various colors for these.

Osteoarthritis Night Knee Pad / Side Sleeper, White

Although I was very hopeful that this product would alleviate annoying knee pain while sleeping, the product was unable to satisfy my needs. First, the product is NOT soft-in fact, it is really nothing more than a mid-grade set of athletic knee pads with a hole cut out of the pad where (theoretically) your knees would contact. It is very uncomfortable to wear-the material is a tight elastic band that is rough to the skin-just like an athletic knee pad-nothing soft about it. The pad itself is rather thin. It would be helpful if it were thicker and larger. Overall, I found this pad to be disappointing. I originally ordered a large-it was incredibly restrictive, so I ordered an XL, which was not much better. The longest I could tolerate wearing it was about 40 minutes. It was a waste of money for me. If you are looking for a set of knee pads to play competitive volleyball or tile your floor, these might be worth purchasing. If you are looking to relieve knee/back pain...keep looking.

Device is tapered, so the entry end where you put your leg in is slightly bigger than the exit. That helps keep it snug and in place. The material it's self is stretchy and breathable. The pillow/pad is a good density, and has a small indentation to accept the bulge of the joint from your other leg (somebody thought this thing thru!). I've had this for a couple weeks now, and found it comfortable from the first day. The main reason I got it is that the small pillow I was using before, while designed to fit between the knees, would get lost and sometimes fall out of the bed. This stays in place all night.

This is one of those "Why didn't I think of that?" ideas. Anyone who has tenderness in their knees knows how uncomfortable it can be trying to sleep on their side. Problem solved with this knee pillow!

Now its not like you couldn't use a regular pillow and stick it between your legs, but that can be too bulky. So then you might try a smaller pillowbut that doesn't always stay in place!

This product did not work. The picture gives the impression that your legs will lie together in a natural, comfortable poition. The pad is soo thick that your legs don't touch either above or below the knee for two to three inches on either side, leaving the leg unsupported. I could only wear it for about 15 minutes before I had to take it off because of how awkward and uncomfortable it was. There is no way I could sleep with it on. If anything it agrivated my osteoarthritis. Also the outer seam was rough. Save your money.

It gets you to sleep FAST and doesn't seem to last as long as the traditional pills, this is the part i really like! The time release version leave me groggy the next morning but the fast dissolve seem to clear my system in 5-6 hours. Might just be my reaction, but if your seeking help sleeping I'd highly recomend this product! Safe and effective!

I like the way it tastes, and it does a fabulous job of promoting sleep. As other reviewers have stated, the pills are soft and crumble easily; when I carry them in my purse for travelling, this has been a problem. I have not had any problems with upset stomach as others have and like having the convenience of leaving a pill at bedside "just in case" I need it; I don't need to sit up and take it with water.

The pills arrived, bottle intact in a pillow-pack, but when I opened it, there was nothing but fragments and powder. I contacted the Vitiman Hut International and they said they would check their inventory, but that was months ago and I haven't heard form them since. These little strips make an amazing difference! If you have trouble breathing while you sleep, you'll wake up noticeably more rested. If you are working out, you won't get winded as fast; and if you're sick, they just might make it so you're a little less miserable.

At the time of this review this offer is just outstanding for the small size. You can get these per unit for only 20 cents per nasal strip. You have to add shipping costs though. That brings it up and makes it less competitive than some of the other offers. Shipping is an expense. The only way to know the price is to itemize per nasal strip. It doesn't matter how many come in a box. What counts is only the price per unit, providing the size unit is your size (large, medium or small).

The price simply has to come down. You'll spend about $102 per year for this habit at one of the cheapest prices. And it's just for a little strip that sticks on your nostrils and makes them flare out a little. This is a great product and very helpful. The price is high considering the low manufacturing costs, in my opinion. I'd like to see the price for this great product reduced substantially.

I have pretty significant allergies, and can typically not breathe well at night almost all year round. I was tired of always taking pills every night -i save the Afrin-type nasal spray for "emergencies" - so these Breathe Right nasal strips have been a WONDERFUL find! (For me, the prescription steroid sprays don't work well, and i'm a little leery of them.)

You use one a night -they are not re-usable. By lifting the sides of the nostrils, they allow you to breathe more easily without drugs. I sleep better and do less mouth breathing with these on. They don't hurt, and you can barely feel that they're on.

Yes, they aren't super attractive -especially the beige colored ones -but at this point in my life, i'll take breathing freely over beauty! The clear ones are less noticeable.

I use a lot of generic items, in both food and health/beauty aids, but these are one thing i'd really recommend the brand name. They stick better, lift the nostrils better, and yet don't tear my skin when i take them off in the morning.

You do need to make sure your nose is quite clean of daily dirt, oil, and makeup, so that the strips stick well to do their job.

I only use Purple Prairie lotions and have discovered that I need lotion less and less everyday. I think it is because it is free of all the chemicals that you find in commercial products.
