This item works as described but the thin little plastic clasps which hold the battery break off easily when changing out the battery.
After reading Docgobbler's review I called the Sav-a-life Co. directly and was told yes, they do break, but no, at $40 each, you just replace them, they don't sell parts or fix them. They do, however, have a brand new model at $89.95 (and I could be their very first customer for it) that has no replacable battery, and three ways of charging it. It both vibrates or buzzes or both at once.
I was gonna buy two as I have narcolepsy and we have a nephew who's wrecked twice falling asleep at the wheel.
One would like to think someone would make a decent product in this field...
having spent the morning reading the reviews of the products and sellers I'm
frustrated someone's not doing a better job.
I know one thing I'm Really Happy for... my fellow reviewers on Amazon and a few
other responsible companies' websites for accurate evaluations of products which is a major reason We depend on Amazon!

The product worked while I tested it, but the moment I tried to actually use it it did nothing. I did not leave it on and followed the instructions for keeping the battery thing open, just worked great for about five minutes and did not work for actual use.Even for testing a significantly less expensive device that vibrated worked better than this one.
