Hearos 40 Pack Ear Filters
I've bought hundreds of products from Amazon over the past five years or so and have never felt compelled to write a review on any of them. This product, however, is a life-saver for me. I've tried approximately 18 brands and models of ear filters and have only been able to sleep comfortably using this particular brand/model of ear filter. All other ear filters leave my ear canal sore when I wake up in the morning except for these. I don't know what I'd do without them since I travel nine months out of the year! Thanks to Hearos for making the softest and quietest combination ear filter on the market.
This product is essential for many motorcyclists, as otherwise, hours of Interstate wind noise actually becomes painful. They are also effective while mowing the lawn, trying to sleep when the kids are making a ruckus, and in the wood-shop. When I used to target shoot with high-power rifles, these filters were a hearing saver. I own four brands of earmuffs, and this product is more effective at blocking sound than the best of them (i.e., the Peltor H10A). For maximum sound blocking (e.g., you're near a pile driver), wear these AND a pair of earmuffs.
In hot weather, these filters won't make your head anywhere near as warm as earmuffs.
This product is unsuitable for loud concerts, unless you want to block and muffle nearly all sound. To reduce volume at a concert, without [over] muffling the sound, try Hearos High Fidelity Ear Filters or Etymotic Research ER20BP High Fidelity Ear Plugs.
When it would otherwise be too noisy to sleep (kids, dogs, party, etc.), Hearos solves the problem. I can't sleep wearing ear muffs or those Etymotic ear plugs (since they poke out so far you can't lay on your side.)
Washing ruins a Hearos ability to be compressed for ear insertion, as whatever chemical the factory adds (to aid compression) is removed. They are so inexpensive, just throw them out when they get dirty.
Some people have trouble getting these INTO your ear canal. Here's how I do it. Roll up and compress the smaller end of a HEROS between your forefinger and thumb, lightly lick it (for lubricant) and insert it. They expand rapidly, so you have to be quick. Be careful not to push it in "too far" or it will be difficult to remove.

Agree with all the reviews above -they fit in comfortably; they don't stick out of your ear; they're incredibly effective.I won't fly or go to a rock show without earplugs anymore, and while sometimes I'll have to find another brand, they're never as comfortable or as good.

I'm 64 years old and have always had a ruddy complexion which has gotten redder as I have gotten older. About 3 months ago, I was approached by a salesperson from a Vivo Per Lei kiosk at the mall. She was very annoying and the product was very expensive. When I got home, I went to Amazon and read the reviews, saw the great prices and purchased both the day cream and night cream. Within a week or two, my skin had a better feel and appearance the redness was greatly reduced. I no longer use a tinted moisturizer to cover up the redness. The Vivo Per Lei creams have been very effective for me and it's amazing how long a jar lasts. You need just a couple of dots to cover your face and neck.
This does give my skin a firm, soft feeling the morning after using it. Don't use too much it's thick, so it's easy to accidentally take too much when removing from the bottle. I don't use it every day and don't really see a long-term change in my skin.

This product seems to moisturize very well, but the scent is very strong. My skin is extremely sensitive and I usually use products without perfumes if I can help it. I don't know what it is, but it's definitely not subtle. My chin seems to be reacting to it (reddened skin and blind blemishes developing) but the rest of my face is doing very well and appears softer and more 'dewy.' When I opened the jar it had a strong smell, but what the heck lets give it a try. What a big mistake that was. The fragrance stays a long time and made my eyes water. My forehead broke out and along the sides of my face did too. Do not use if you have sensitive skin or are opposed to fragrances in face cream. Not to sound like a tv commercial, but frankincense oil is awesome. It worked a miracle on a very very stuborn wart that I had on my index finger when I was younger. I went through tons of Compound W with no results. I tried the drops, the medicated bandages, and the freezing kits. Nothing. I went to the doctor and had it freezed multiple times. Nothing. I had a cancerous lesion on my leg. A friend of mine told me to try Frankincense oil because of it's healing effects and that it had such a HIGH frequency and that cancer has a LOW frequency and that applying it everyday should heal the cancerous (mole) lesion. The picture of the product would have you believe it's two bottles of tablets. It is not. It is those stupid little blister packs that ordinarily wouldn't be too bad, but the pills are quite brittle and will crumble easily, so we had to cut them open with scissors.Of course, now all the other reviews say the same thing, but yeah. The pills themselves work just fine. Just be aware that you're gonna have a lot of un-blister-packing if you buy these.

Like other reviewers I received a single box of blister cards instead of the two bottles of loose tablets. The blister cards are nearly impossible to open without crushing the tablets. You will need scissors and pliers to pry open each blister, and then tweezers to pick up the crushed bits of tablet. Finally, you will need a broom to sweep up all the bits that fell on the floor. And some bandaids to wrap up your bleeding fingers where you jammed the scissors trying to open the package. Amazon refunded me for this, but the product description remains inaccurate. My order was placed in November, 2012.

Sound Oasis Nature Journey Sound Card
This sound card has a lot of really nice sounds, I'd like them a lot for relaxing with a nice background ambience, but I use my Sound Oasis machine to mask household noise (TV, traffic, etc) when I am trying to fall asleep and most of the sounds aren't steady enough for that. The waterfall is great for that but the rest of the sounds have quiet spots that allow outside noise to be disturbing. And I have to say, the windstorm is a very eerie and disturbing sound, not relaxing at all and the thunderstorm upsets my dog. All of the rest of the nature sounds are very pleasant, the forest rain is soothing, the surf sounds are also, I love the crickets and the frogs but they are just not good enough as white noise for me.

I normally purchase a radio with forest sounds or rain sounds to help myself sleep. It is more for the purpose of blocking out the noises of the city than anything. It helps me fall asleep. These flax pillows are great. We now own two (had to get the second so we each had one). The first one is several years old and still works great after a lot of use. Not only are they super for taming stiff neck and shoulders (my massage therapist reccommended a moist heating pad in the first place and that's how we ended up with the flax pillow) but they are also great for pre heating the bed (warm flax can be more soporific than a sleeping pill on a c-c-c-cold night)and for taking the chill off of the feet (in the bed). I bought this because a friend had a similar neck roll. This one is slightly different because it is filled with flax (the other one has some kind of beans).The flax smell is a little off putting to some people, like my wife, but I don't mind it. If you have shoulder or neck pain this really works.

I find it works quite good, i've been using it now for 5 years and stops the breakouts from getting out of hand, but i would say that the other products in your skincare regime should be made for your skin too, don't just depend on just this, it is good for clogging and for painful pimples or white heads, i use it with a mild exfoliating cleanser and make sure i moisturise well with an oil free moisturiser afterwards. I actually use Payot drying lotiong on top sometimes when i want it to work quicker as that has sulfer in it and drys it out even faster used together, i find the two work well together and either on their own don't work as well, hope this review helps someone.

Hylands Hylands Calms Forte Sleep Aid
I'm writing this after my first restful sleep all week, after taking two Calms Forte pills before bedtime. I have trouble sleeping at night and often get on a bad sleeping schedule because of it. Sometimes Calms Forte is exactly what I need to break the cycle. It's relaxing and does make me just drowsy enough to fall asleep. I've used melatonin before, but it's much too strong for me and makes me feel groggy in the morning. With Calms Forte, I feel fine when I wake up.I can definitely feel when this kicks in, a kind of heaviness, a "wouldn't it be nice to lie down for a minute" feeling. If I do lie down, I'll sleep til morning. But if I get a phonecall or get to a good part in my book, then it's not very hard to push through and miss that little window of drowsiness. Also, one pill doesn't do it for me, I have to take two.
I understand the mix of five-star and one-star reviews. It's mild; this is not something that will knock you out in fifteen minutes. Some people respond to herbal remedies, some don't. So buy the smaller bottle and give it a try, just be prepared to pass the rest on to a friend or family member if it doesn't work out for you.

It's all about what you expect. These don't rival Unisom. For heavy duty anxiety I'll sooner reach for Xanax. That said, both of the aforementioned have their benefits and side effects. Long term use isn't desirable. I'm not saying it's great to take these on a regular basis, but their relatively weaker influence won't lead to the psychological dependence you might experience with other drugs.I have a background in medicine and as a result, I view natural products with a healthy amount of skepticism. I want to see peer reviewed journals demonstrating efficacy; I don't care if cultures used passiflora incarnata or avena sativa (the top two ingredients) to cure ailments before the birth of modern medicine.
With all of this said, I was given this bottle well over five years ago and I came across them today. I took three and I have to concede that I do notice a slight effect. Sedating, I suppose. I imagine they would have worked better if they were used within a reasonable amount of time, hence the extra star for longevity.
If you found these ineffective, my first suggestion would be to take them on a (near-)empty stomach if you haven't already. At least not right after a meal. A needle in a haystack for your digestive system, so to speak.

I'm not sure this product would be effective if you're not actually tired. I use this when I'm tired, but too wound up from the day to drift off. After reading Docgobbler's review I called the Sav-a-life Co. directly and was told yes, they do break, but no, at $40 each, you just replace them, they don't sell parts or fix them. They do, however, have a brand new model at $89.95 (and I could be their very first customer for it) that has no replacable battery, and three ways of charging it. It both vibrates or buzzes or both at once.
I was gonna buy two as I have narcolepsy and we have a nephew who's wrecked twice falling asleep at the wheel.
One would like to think someone would make a decent product in this field...
