Macks Ear Band Swimming Headband

My two year old son had tubes put in his ears at the beginning of summer and I needed something to help keep the silicone ear plugs in place. I was skeptical because this product hadn't been reviewed and was half the price of its competitor. We have been to the beach three times and in a kiddie pool a few times this summer and Macks Ear Band Swimming Headband has worked well for us. My extremely active toddler who often pulls hats off, didn't seem bothered by the headband and, more importantly, the ear plugs never once fell out. Though he does not yet swim, he did submerge his face and head a few times and the headband did its job. I really like that they come two in a pack and I keep one in the car and one at his day care for water play days.

I have a son who has tubes in his ears. We had another brand of headband that ended up fraying pretty bad from the little ones constant taking on and off. I loved these head bands for several reasons. First off the price is amazing especially since you get two in the package. We are able to have one that is just for bath time and another for when we do any type of swimming activity. Secondly these are just as nice if not nicer than the more expensive brand. I also like that they are reversible. I will buy these again if the need arises.

Seem to work well and well made. I received two of them and they were both the same reversible colors (blue and purple). I'm not sure if that's the only colors they make or not...just what I received.

Update: July 2012...ok so my 9 year old son has gone swimming a lot this summer and has gotten to use these for 2-4 times a week for a few weeks now. They keep his earplugs in place (he has to wear silicone earplugs due to tubes in his ears), so there is no worry about them falling out. I bought 2 of these thinking at the time that I'd have an extra in case they stretched out, but that has not been the case yet and we're still using the first one.

My 2 year old did not want to float during swim lessons because she doesn't like to get water in her ears. She suffers from seasonal allergies and it makes her ears sensitive. We tried using silicone ear plugs, but she wasn't a fan of having them pressed into her ears. She saw this earband at her swim school and we decided to give it a try. It is great. It keeps the water out of her ears and fits her head very well. It is easy to put on and has held up to wear. I am glad to see if offered cheaper at Amazon, I will have to keep that in mind when ours wears out.
