Biocore Optimum Complete Enzymes 90 Veg Caps

Biocore Optimum Complete Enzymes 90 Veg CapsI had high hopes for this blend of enzymes. I'm a vegetarian who has had significant digestive problems since raising my intake of vegetables and whole grains. This blend has a wide variety of enzymes in high doses, so I thought they would be the best ones I ever tried. They do have a lot of lactase, so they're especially helpful with dairy. For me, though, the biggest problem was grains and legumes. I eat a lot of oats, wheat, corn, beans, and soy products.

Over the past six months, I've tried several popular enzyme blends. The one that worked best for me was GNC brand Multi-Enzyme Formula. Through research I've learned that the key ingredient in that blend is CereCalase (10 mg), which is responsible for breaking down the phytates in grains and legumes. I experienced a huge difference between the GNC brand and all of the other brands I've tried. With the GNC brand I can eat pretty much anything I want, without experiencing heartburn, gas, or bloating. Another blend that contains the patented CereCalase is Swanson Ultra Full-Spectrum N-Zimes.

These Biocore Optimum worked better than the Rainbow Light brand, but not as well as GNC.

In conclusion, if you eat a diet high in grains and legumes, you must use an enzyme blend that contains CereCalase. I'm aware of only two blends that contain CereCalase: GNC Multi-Enzyme; and Swanson Ultra Full-Spectrum N-Zimes. If you're a vegetarian like me, I believe you will have the most success with those two (of the two, Swanson is less expensive and more potent).
