It does a great job, drowns out a partner's snoring and allows for a super night's sleep. I wouldn't be without it.
Having had a large size Marsona in the past, I assumed this one would be as good. It is not, so do not waste any money on it. The speaker is small, so there is no power to provide a loud white noise. It has only two volume levels, and even at the highest, it cannot mask anything for lack of sufficient volume (is very quiet actually). From the packaging and documentation it is also not clear if this will work with 220/240V in Europe, which it should if it is a travel version. They included international plugs to attach, so I must assume it should then function there too.

I am a light sleeper, and find the Marpac travel sound conditioner a must for travel. The international version is very easy to use as long as you have the right plug adapter. The small machine is loud enough to block out the strange noises of the street or hotel. We would not travel without it.
