Maybe it is because I only paid $4 for mine, on clearance, so I wasn't expecting a lot out of it, but I LOVE this thing. My son held onto it 24/7 for the first three days he had it. ...And he still loves keeping it on and with him at night time, every night. It's loud enough to drowned out the sound of my husband's snore and let me sleep, but quiet enough where it won't keep anyone awake.(I keep it on the ocean waves) Both of my kids love the stars, especially the color change effect. I saw someone say it was fragile, but I have a two year old and four year old who play with it, throw it, and drop it all the time, and it still works perfectly. I also have had the same batteries in it since I got it right after Christmas, with heavy use, so I am not sure why someone would think they need new ones after 2 4 nights.I went back to Walgreens and searched high and low to see if I could find any more of them (another one for my second child and one for me, since the kids are hogging it) but they were all gone.
If I had read the reviews first, I would not have gotten mine, so I am REALLY glad I got mine first.
Long story short, Try it out. It's a lot more awesome than the other reviews make it out to be.

I like the item as a nightlight it projects a moon and stars onto the wall/ceiling with various color LED lights. I believe there are five colors to choose from. It will only stay one color at a time it does not cycle through them, as some other products do.I did not feel that the light was too bright, in fact I thought it could've stood to be a little brighter... but this is more of a "cute" item than functional the stars look great on the wall, but it doesn't really illuminate the room itself like a standard nightlight would. Also, depending on which color you choose, the light is varying degrees of brightness... I normally leave it on green/yellow, which are the brighter ones; red is a very dim color.
The product also has "soothing" nighttime sounds you can listen to: rain, bubbling brook, crickets/owls, the ocean, a heartbeat, and chirping birds (not a night noise? but ok). The major problem with the product, however, is that the sounds are FAR too loud, even when the volume is turned all the way down. It's like the volume that you'd listen to on a radio or something during the day.
I'm certain I could never fall asleep with any of the noises on. Muffling it with a blanket or something doesn't seem to do much good, and then the sound is distorted anyway, so it may as well be off. Putting it in the room next door might solve the noise problem, but then the light isn't useful.
I wish the volume had a knob, so you could turn it up/down, because then you could set the volume at an appropriate level for sleeping (i.e. just barely audible). The problem is that it only has buttons to go up/down, and the range just isn't suitable.
I would recommend the product just as a fun toy for a child's room for the star projection, but if you need a regular nightlight, this isn't the best option. And I definitely don't recommend it as a "white noise" or sound machine if you want it to fall asleep to (unless you're very hard-of-hearing, lol).

This was a purchase for my little girl. I have no idea what expectations those that gave this a poor rating had. Evidently they were overly high. We absolutely love it. We just got it today. Love love it. I was worried about the volume level bc of past reviews. The sounds on the low volume is not loud to us but we are used to running a fan or window air for noise so to us, it is not loud at ALL. It is smaller than I had expected (I did not read the measurements prior to purchase) but in retrospect I am glad it is the size it is, it will sit nicely on a bed side table. It is about the size of an ostrich egg. It does not glow blue like the picture, this part is silver and does not glow. Only the stars and moon glow. It is made of all plastic and runs off batteries. It costs 15 dollars so I was NOT expecting anything more. The stars emit 5 different colors to choose from on the ceiling...green, blue, white/multi, pink or the red that cycles through all of the colors. The sounds are very realistic. I have 3 sound machines in my house, and I actually like this one the best. The only caveat I have is that you DO get what you pay for, so does this sound like an actual rainstorm right there in the bedroom? No. But it doesn't sound too bad either. I have a Conair SU7 and I can hardly stand to listen to all but one of the "white" noises on it. I also love that this little egg gets loud: another reviewer found it too loud, but it is perfect for masking the noises that wake up the baby when the rest of the house is still awake. I put it in the room where I already had the First Years Sounds for Silence machine that gives off a pleasant background noise and masks nothing and the two together make a perfect sleep cocoon cacophony. I only wish it could plug into the wall. Running all night and for 2 naps a day I am replacing the (rechargable) batteries about every 10-14 days.

I have been using this for almost a week now and it has helped my teeth! I dont wake up anymore with my teeth and jaws in pain. The first night it was a little hard to get used to, but now its fine. (On the first night, I wore it for about 20 minutes before I acutally went to bed to help get used to it). It is a tad bulky in the cheeksuntil you get used to it. Science of Sleep Snore No More Pillow
When I first got the pillow, I hated it. It was too light, too firm, and too different.But after a couple of nights, of forcing myself to sleep on it, I really started to love it. The half-circle shape of the bottom of it is AWESOME! It cradles your head in such a way that it really helps support your neck, and was very comfortable to sleep on either my back or side.
At first, I hated how firm the pillow was, but once I got used to it, now I hate soft, squishy pillows, that don't give any support.
The only thing I didn't like about the pillow is the raised part at the top. I wish it were more like a wedge, to really tilt the head back, and keep the airways more open.
Honestly, I have no idea if it helped my snoring any. (I normally sleep alone, and only bought the pillow because a friend of mine was staying with me and complained of my snoring.)
I really did like this pillow, and miss using it. Unfortunately, after only about 3-4 months of use, it is squished down, flatter than a pancake. I don't know what happened! It's not like I was driving over it with a truck or anything.
So I probably won't buy this particular pillow again, since I can't afford to replace my pillow every 2 months, but I sure do miss it.

I loved this wedge ... for the first couple of weeks!It worked great, had the perfect amount of lift, supported my back when laying on it, was very comfortable and performed its function exactly as needed. However, the foam quickly seems to break down and become too soft. It is now much too soft and no longer as supportive as needed my back aches and I can't feel the support under the bottom portion at all when laying on it. I also frequently roll off of the sides of it when not completely in the middle as the edges are too soft to be supportive and just sink down when you lay on them.
I have tried flipping it over and reconfiguring it multiple times to no avail the foam is just too soft now to work properly. The bottom portion of it also crumples up whenever I move around at night, causing uncomfortable wrinkles.
It still works sort of as it raises your head up a few inches while sleeping (until you fall off it if you get too close to the softer edge!). However, it is not comfortable and does not support your back as a good wedge should.

I bought this because I wasn't able to sleep in my own bed after surgery and was stuck sleeping in a lounge chair for almost a week. Once I got this situated on my bed, I was back to my own room. The size is perfect width is equal to or a little wider than my pillow and the length starts at the base of the spine and gradually lifts you up. OK, well I have some minor gripes about this items, but I will still give this item 5 stars because the quality is very good and it seems a perfect blend of being firm enough to give support and not deflate, and yet soft enough that it's not like sleeping on a board. I think for it's intended purpose it is a great buy, my main complaint is that it's not comfortable for side/stomach sleeping but I don't think that ANY wedge would be good for that purpose, so I can't fault this one in particular.Pros: removable cover for washing, ideal firmness (not too hard or soft), folds up for easier storage, no smell that I could detect, very good for black sleeping, helps prevent acid reflux. For me, I can sleep on this on my back and not snore at all, but I will snore on my back without this. Not any hotter than my regular pillows.
Cons: No good at all if you like to sleep on your side or stomach, this will throw your spine way out of whack so don't even try it! Upon first using it, it left a noticeable amount of little lint fibers all over my black sheets (granted I did not wash the cover before using it, that might have prevented this minor issue).

On the plus side: It is a comfortable memory-like foam and it's longer length than the typical wedge makes a surprising difference with a more gradual incline.The negatives: First, there is an odor. This of course is highly subjective; in fairness, it didn't particularly bother my wife but on the other hand, she didn't have her face close to it all night like I do. After airing it out on the patio for a few days and washing the cover, the smell was gone. Subtract 1 star. Second, after several weeks there is a depression where my upper torso lies reducing the height by about half, and I only weigh 160 lbs. If you have reflux, you need more life than only 3-4 inches. Subtract 2 more stars.
It is also over-priced, although since that is true of all these wedges, I'll cut them some slack and not subtract another star.
I ended up taking a previous 7" foam wedge which is unbearably hard, cutting 3" off of it which puts it at the same incline angle as this pillow, and then putting this pillow on top of the other wedge. That is working better than I expected. Too bad I had to do this in the first place to get a comfortable wedge with adequate incline.
