Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Body Wash Detoxify Black Chamomile 10 fl oz

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Body Wash Detoxify Black Chamomile 10 fl ozDont let the review re price fool you. I bought this yesterday at a Bath & Body Work store on sale and used a coupon. The MSRP is $13.00. The sales lady told me it only comes out during the holidays. I used it in the hotel and love it. I have several others scents in the gel and lotion from the Aromatherapy line frmo them, but this my favorite. Wished they made it in a candle!

My daughter bought this for me Christmas '09. I went back to BBW to see if I could get more, and that's when I found out it had been a seasonal item and wouldn't be released again. It's unfortunate, because while I was there, at least three other customers, plus two of the employees raved about it, as well. So now I'm going much more slow on using it, not wanting to run out, although it's bound to happen soon.

I received this body wash as a gift last Christmas, and I'm about to run out. I read on the bottle that it was a limited edition product, so I thought I'd try Amazon to see if there were any. While I expected them to be a bit more expensive, $70 is outrageous. This is a body wash. Nothing more. Don't waste your money.

I tried the pillow mist in the Black chamomile scent recently and I fell in love with it! I really would love to get some body lotion and body wash in this scent, but some sellers on Amazon put ridiculous prices on their items and try to take adtanage of us thinking we are that desperate. This is one of the best scents Bath and Body Works has ever made, it really does help you get to sleep and I also understand it has been discontinued for a while but seriously $100 for just a body wash?? Are you crazy?? This is a very amazing scent but it's not worth $100. When Bath and Body Works were selling these in their stores they sold these for just $13 each. That's just ridiculous and I really hope that price is just a typo! If you really want this scent you are much better off just buying the pillow mist it's at a WAY more decent price.

This is a nice smelling product that is one of the rare Bath & Body Works scents that isn't fruity or floral. Plus I dig the industrial look and color of it. From what I can tell, Bath & Body Works discontinued this scent a few years ago. However, they brought it back for Holiday 2012. The lotion and body wash were actually selling on their website for a clearance price of $5 in Jan '13, so I decided to stock up. Hopefully they continue to bring this back every year.

Brookstone Anti-Snore Pillow

Brookstone Anti-Snore PillowI had purchased this pillow to replace the sona anti-snore pillow for my husband. It was horrible. Didn't work at all. I lasted all of a half an hour before I had to give him his old pillow back. Brookstone refuses to refund the item because it's considered a "personal item". Their customer service said I couldn't contact the manufacturer for a refund because it was made in China, recommended I try to sell it on Ebay as a solution. It's almost like an internet scam. Please don't fall for it like I did.

I purchased this pillow to replace lost Sona-Pillow.

This pillow comes with pillow case and also regular pillow case will fit. Sona-Pillow didn't come with pillow case and cost in addition to pillow itself.

It is smaller than Sona-Pillow. Sona-Pillow was bigger and it may take a lot of space on the bed.

However, I purchased Sona-Pillow again. This new anti-snore pillow didn't do its job for me.

Side sleeping is difficult because no space to put arm under pillow. Still my ear harts with ear cup which supposed to make space for ear.

I tried to review on Brookstone website. I wrote review twice for this product at Brookstone but not showing up on their site.

After two months of using this pillow the results are the same as a regular pillow. I still snore whether on my back or side. I was desparate to buy something to alleviate the snoring, but this was not the solution. Sorry I wasted $ bucks. And it takes up a lot of real estate on the bed.

I bought the anti-snore pillow from Brookstone last week and the chemical smell is terrible. I've been trying to air it out but am also concerned that it's going to cause cancer or something! Product is not usable unless the smell goes away. It did stop my snoring for the night I used it but I'm afraid of the consequences!

Want Brookstone Anti-Snore Pillow Discount?

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. At the store they specifically told me it was a "personal item" but I could try it as long as I kept the plastic on it. As I took it out of the box, the plastic ripped so that option was out.

As soon as we took it out, we noticed a very strong chemical smell. It was not usable. We took the case off and washed it twice and the smell did not go away. I called customer service as was told that they package the pillows too soon and that leaves the smell. They told me to roll the pillow up tightly and then unroll it and the smell would go away in 24 hours. Two days later, the smell was still there so I called customer service and repeated my concerns. I was told there was nothing they could do about it since it is a "personal item". So now I'm out a hundred dollars for a pillow that can not be in the same room as me because it smells so bad it makes my head hurt. We will never shop at Brookstone again and my credit card company has started an inquiry.

Philips Hf3470 Wake-up Light, White

Philips Hf3470 Wake-up Light, WhiteFor the most part, I really like the Philips Wake-up Light. The modern design is great. The lighting itself is beautiful. The product features are adequate. The orange LED display offers four levels of brightness. The control buttons blend in nicely with the trim. The snooze button, appropriately, sticks out like a sore thumb so if I'm still drowsy I can just reach over and activate it without lifting my head all the way up off the pillow to find it.

The elegant halogen illumination is the heart of what this product is all about. You can use the Wake-up Light as a bedside lamp and adjust it to any of several intensities. Powering down, it smoothly transitions to darkness. Awesome!

The radio sounds nice, comparable to your standard clock radio. Unfortunately, it's FM only, and I'm one who likes to make the most out of my space. With no AM band to choose from it loses a bit of value for me.

As a wake-up light, this product is fantastic! With the unit placed within a couple feet of your head, it does a fine job at convincing you that the sun has risen. There are three choices of alarms: FM radio, chirping birds or a "beep" as it is referred to in the manual, but it really sounds more like a lazy kettledrum concerto. I love waking up to the chirping birds...very natural.

If you're typically miserable when being abruptly awakened to dark surroundings, then I highly recommend this item. It's a luxurious waking experience, which can contribute to a more positive start to your mornings. It really is a cool thing to have.

***6 Month Update*** Had a lot of questions about burning out lights and whether or not I still enjoyed the alarm clock, so I just thought that I'd offer a quick update to my review. At nearly 6 months, I still use the alarm clock every day and have yet to be dissatisfied and my original review still stands. The light bulb has so far not burnt out and that's even with me using it for hours at a time as a reading lamp (note that the bulb is replaceable should it ever burn out). The bird noises still sound natural and pleasing to me (I was afraid I'd eventually associate bird tweets with groggy mornings and want to kill anything with feathers) and, in fact, I still occasionally wake up and think: My goodness, some bird is going to town out there... before realizing it's only my alarm clock. As always, if there are any further questions, please leave them in the comments section and I'll do my best to answer them.

-------------------------------------------------------

With the exception of the somewhat alarming price tag, this alarm clock alternative is actually really wonderful! I've been using it for a while now and find it every bit as effective at getting me up in the morning as my old BEEP!!!!!! BEEEP !!!!!!!! BEPPPP! alarm clock, without the mini heart attack I used to have every morning. Annnnd, in addition to the pleasant factor, it's also very handy. I've found myself turning on the lamp constantly in the middle of the night should I need to get up. The FM radio is really impressive, too. The device has great reception (comes with a wire antennae) and has surprisingly good audio quality. The video doesn't do it justice exactly, but there's actually some pretty good bass.

Here's a rundown of what I love about the Philips wake up light:

Pleasant way to wake up

Easy to use controls

Lamp multi-purposeful

Excellent quality radio

The only cons I can see are the price a little hefty for an alarm clock, but you know if it's worth it. And the fact that it's a fairly big device and won't travel with you easily. It may not sit on your nightstand well, either, depending on how much room you have BUT since it doubles as a lamp and radio you can actually replace those things with this one compact contraption!

Overall, I'm in love! I'm not at all a morning person so anything that can start my day better is worth its weight in gold.

I HATE getting up in the morning, and this thing has made it a little less painful, especially as we move into the winter months when it's still dark when I get up. I've always been able to wake easier when the sun is up, and that's the philosophy behind this wake up light.

Set a wakeup time, and the light will gradually start brightening to the setting you've picked over a span of about 20 minutes. You can choose the light brightness you wake up to brightness goes from 1 (very low) to 20 (ridiculously blindingly high). Mine is set at about 7, though it could be a couple notches lower (maybe when it's not dark out when you need to get up, you need a higher setting). This gently and effectively wakes me up. I usually wake up before the brightest part (which is why I need to adjust it), but can easily go back to sleep for a bit as it brightens up and then wake up with the final brightness at the alarm sound, and I feel much less horrid than I usually do when I get up to a radio alarm.

If you need it (you don't HAVE to have it on), you can also add a sound. The sound only comes on at the alarm time (say, if you set your alarm for 7, the light will start at around 6:40, but the alarm sound won't come on until 7), but gradually gets louder. You can wake to FM radio, chirping birds, or (what I picked) the "lazy kettle drum band" as another reviewer described it. All very nice and not jarring.

I really like this alarm. It wakes my hubby up as well on days that I'm working and he's not, but the regular alarm woke him up, too, and this is less jarring to both of us. I much prefer it to the sudden jolt of the alarm, or even a gradual sound alarm alone. I used to find myself waiting and bracing myself for the sound of the alarm if I half-woke-up not too long before it, but now I can actually go back to sleep and not feel like I have to prepare myself for it. When you hit SNOOZE, the alarm sound goes off, but not the light (I'm honestly not sure what happens if you snooze and you don't have an alarm sound set, though!).

It loses one star because for the price, the alarm could be more fully featured. It's missing some simple features: dual alarm, weekday/weekend settings, auto reset (though you can train yourself to do this manually by flicking the alarm switch back down every AM after you turn it off), digital FM tuner, and memory for the light level so that the alarm can be at say 7, but the light alone at 15.

You can also use the lamp alone or the radio alone, so I was able to condense 2 things on my bedside table (alarm clock and light) into one, and this one is fairly attractive (some of these light alarm things are pretty ugly).

Extra note: the LCD setting also has 4 brightness settings, which is nice. I can't stand a super-bright LCD, and the lowest one is fine for me.

Hope that helps. I really like this thing. Though it's WAAAAY more than I would normally pay for an alarm clock, it's made my mornings so much nicer that I'd definitely buy another one if I needed to.

The short version of this review is as follows: You could accomplish the same thing with a cheap electrical outlet timer with a lamp plugged in and keep your existing alarm clock and save a whole lot of money, but it is a decent alarm clock.

My motivation for purchasing this item, which I have been using for a month now, was because we are currently in winter and my normal waking hour in the morning is before sunrise currently. This means the room is pitch black and it is awfully hard to get up when it's both cold and dark in the bedroom and the bed is nice and warm. As always, I was finding myself having a hard time "getting it in gear" in the mornings because of this, and I generally do better during the summer months when sunrise is around the same time or earlier as when my alarm goes off. For about 4-5 months of the year, though, it's just tough. I had been thinking how nice it might be to have an artificial sunrise of sorts to help me get up and at 'em. Then I stumbled across this idea and just KNEW that someone else was thinking the same thing. I eagerly anticipated this alarm arriving and set it up the very first day I received it. I thought it would be perfect because I was going into a week of call and knew it was going to get progressively harder to get up for 2 weeks (no weekends) due to working straight through.

After the first week, I was sort of disappointed, but I thought that perhaps it was simply a matter of getting back on a non-call schedule rotation that was needed. So I have given it another 4 weeks and am still rather ho-hum about it.

Function:

This is basically a simple alarm clock with radio, buzzer, and birds chirping options for wake up sound. It has a pleasant, amber, reasonably large time display on the front and is capped by a conical lamp shade with what seems to be an incandescent light inside. This lamp has 20 stages of brightness and a separate on-off switch from the radio on-off and bracketing the switch are the brighter/dimmer buttons which mirror the volume up/down buttons beside the radio button. You can set the lamp to any of the 20 levels of brightness and turn the lamp off. At this point the alarm remembers what the brightness setting was last set to as the target brightness for the next time the alarm goes off. The same applies to the volume settings on the audible portion of the alarm.

Once the brightness is set, and the alarm is set, the alarm will turn on the lamp at the lowest setting 30 minutes before the set time for the audible alarm to go off. It will then progressively increase the lamp brightness over that 30 minutes to the pre-determined brightness, at which point the audible portion of the alarm will sound (in my case, the radio turns on) with a nice, gentle, ramp-up to the volume. You can, alternately, set the volume to be off, as mentioned above, and only have the lamp turn on with no sound associated with it.

The trick to figuring out what brightness setting you need is to set it to full bright (#20) the first time and then, when you wake up the next morning, take note of how bright the lamp was when you "registered" that it was on and awoke. Set it to that number for the next night and you should then time it roughly so that you wake up when the audible alarm goes off.

Pros:

Volume ramp-up on the radio is very gentle. Much slower than most alarms but still hits target volume in 30 sec or so. This is how it should be done.

Display is easily readable at night but not overly bright/room illuminating. I like my room to be dark, and the amber light is minimal enough to not disturb.

Can double as a night stand lamp, helping you reduce some of the clutter over there.

Light is sufficiently bright to get your attention when asleep if you happen to be turned that direction. It also helps me get to the other side of the room to the overhead light switch.

Cons:

Light output is not very bright. At full illumination, it's not really bright enough to comfortably light up my 20'x20' bedroom. It seems equivalent to perhaps a 30W light bulb or so. If you are not facing the lamp at least somewhat, you may not notice the light being on. It basically means I have to leave it set to max brightness for the alarm because half the time my back is to it and it's effectively, then, just a simple radio alarm.

Light is extremely yellow. Much more yellow than most incandescent bulbs and not at all like a real sunrise light color temperature.

Uses a proprietary lamp module, apparently, that has to be ordered from Philips. I have no idea how long to expect the included bulb to last, but it will eventually need replacing, and who knows if you'll be able to purchase one at that point. After all, they just outlawed incandescent bulbs, effectively.

The unit is huge. It takes up about as much space as a table lamp with shade does, though doesn't put out as much light as one. It's mostly vertical volume, so that helps some, but it towers over most other alarms.

The radio is poor. Reception for even nearby, strong stations waxes and wanes and is even severely affected by my position in my bed.

Sound quality is limited. This is your tinny little radio sound with no depth or volume. I can't tolerate listening to music on this unit, though talk radio (NPR) is acceptable. Thankfully this isn't that much worse than your average alarm radio, so most folks won't be taking a downgrade here.

Only a single alarm setting. No dual/multiple alarms for those who have varying daily schedules (e.g., college students) or for those who prefer a weekend setting and a weekday setting (myself).

All controls are on the front or side, none on top. This makes them all difficult to reach/use, especially when half-asleep.

You don't really feel any more rested when you wake up with the light on. It just makes it easier to turn on a real light in the room.

Very expensive for what you get. You could replicate most of this system simply by keeping your existing alarm and table lamp and adding a timer to the outlet the lamp is plugged in to in order to go off at the pre-desired time, a minute or two before the alarm does. That'd cost you about $5.

If it were me, I would do several things to improve the device.

1. Change the light source to something with a more white light and brighter light. an LED system would solve this, probably by having a preset number of LEDs, each one lighting up progressively. This would, if done properly, light up the whole room AND provide a much more natural light closer to the real world sunrise I was hoping for. I know they have LED based light therapy lamps at Philips, perhaps they could borrow those? Or, at least, let me plug in a higher wattage incandescent lamp with a whiter light output.

2. Shrink the unit by about 50-70%. Again, switching to LEDs would probably help this.

3. Provide at least dual-alarm capability.

4. Improve radio sound quality. With as large an enclosure as this thing has, it ought to sound much better than it does, even allowing for the lamp portion.

5. Drop the cost. This is a $20 alarm, basically. If they could make the above changes, it would be about a $50 alarm clock.

This is not a bad alarm, or a bad lamp. It's just not worth what the asking price is and it's certainly not much better than a standard alarm clock.

Want Philips Hf3470 Wake-up Light, White Discount?

I've had this Wake-up light for about a week now, and I am very satisfied. I get up very early and always have a hard time getting going. This light greatly helps ease the transition into wakefulness.

While using this wake-up light, I often gently wake up just a few minutes prior to the audio alarm sounds start, which gives me the luxury of lying in bed for a few more minutes as I think about the upcoming day before I need to get out of bed. I really enjoy the bird-chirping alarm sound as well as the beeping which actually sounds more like a steel drum. I haven't used the radio, so I cannot speak to its quality.

Additionally, I feel much better when waking up to a lighted room. I know longer have to fight the urge to hit the snooze button over and over again.

Final note: I decided on this model after reading the reviews of a similar model (the Philips Hf3480). The reviews of it were initially very good, but a disturbing number of reviewers had come back to edit their reviews. Apparently the light bulbs were burning out quickly and could not be replaced. On this model, light bulb is replaceable, so if it burns out quickly, it will not be too much of an inconvenience.

Edit (on April 11, 2011): After about 6 months of use, the light bulb is still going strong, and I still love waking up to the light.

Edit again (on December 20, 2011): The original light bulb is still going strong. I'm still extremely satisfied.

Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller, 0.50-Fluid Ounce

Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller, 0.50-Fluid OunceI'm 63 (and have wrinkles under my eyes). I have had dark circles under my eyes since I was a teenager. They also run in my family, so there was not much hope of escape.

I like this Garnier product very much!

I have always used the Cover Girl cream product (comes in a tube, like lipstick). Bcs it's so "firm," I have always applied a light cream under my eyes so the product would "flow." As all the womens' magazine beauty gurus say, pulling on the "delicate skin" below the eyes is not something that's very good to do, especially on an on-going basis. Nonetheless, that was the only product on the market (that I could find). Until this one.

This product doesn't cover completely (but what does? not the Cover Girl tube; not even theatrical makeup! The only thing to cover completely is PhotoShop!), but this product has made a definite difference. With all my wrinkles, I haven't noticed caking. Maybe the others are putting it on over foundation?

Yes, you do have to spread it out. So what? It's quite thin and takes no time at all. As opposed to the Cover Girl stuff I used to use.

Of course, the "anti-puffy" claim is ridiculous (also Olay's roller-ball product, which was a complete bust & didn't deliver on any of its claims!). I bought this Garnier product for coverage. It's great for that. I will continue buying this product and hope it doesn't go out of production!

If you prefer a "mineral" makeup, L'Oreal's mineral line has a "concealer" powder that is also very good. If you are using a face cream/lotion product, wait at least 30 min. before applying this product, or you'll have the product in all your wrinkles and creases. (I find the L'Oreal mineral line is excellent for rosacea coverage, and I use that when I have a flare-up.)

Anyway, I think this is a good product and worth a try.

mb

I am in the public eye six days a week for my line of work. I have always had dark circles under my eyes. It is caused by the veins underneath the skin beneath the eye becoming more visible as we age. This product rolls on very easily and quickly, and you simply have to rub it in. It diminishes the dark circles fairly well. Sometimes if you get too much on your skin, it is noticeable as a white-ish color under your eye. When that happens, I take a damp fingertip and rub it in some more. As others have noted, this probably is just concealer make-up. But me being a guy, I'm not about to start buying womens' concealer at the store. This product is simple, portable, convenient, and it works. Recommended.

I have been using this for about a month. I like it. It works great. It covers my dark circles. I rolls on nicely (the metal roller feels cool on my skin, which I like). Caffeine helps diminish dark circles according to studies. I know there are several products that cost twice as much with only the caffeine benefit and not the cover up benefit, this seems to have both for a better price. I use this daily and will DEFINETLY buy it again! I am a happy customer. I am not sure why the other bad reviews? Obviously NOTHING you can buy is a "facelift in a bottle"... (although Emu oil really helps with wrinkles....) are people hoping for miracles? Garnier Anti-Dark circle eye roller does exactly what it is advertised to do. I'm a sasisfied customer.

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. I love this product! I don't usually wear a lot of make up so I love that this product looks so natural. I can apply it alone with no other make up or mascara. I normally use cover girl stick concealer. I would apply the concealer, rub it in and then my eyelashes would be covered with concealer so I'd have to apply mascara. I think some of the negative reviews came from people who were under the impression they could just roll this on with the roller and that is not so. Actually I think Garnier could of skipped the roller and just put this in a tube that can be applied with your fingers. This product is liquid and when you roll it on it puts little globs of the liquid on your skin. I make one run around my eyes with the roller, then pat or rub until it is blended with my skin. My eyes look brighter and healthier when I've used this product, unlike other concealers.

This product looks natural, is easy to apply (you have to blend with your fingers) and it last all day.

This is a very interesting concept... healthy skin. I've suffered with bad acne since sixth grade and have bought products and acne systems that contained the usual acne treatment chemicals. I've also tried stronger doses prescribed with antibiotics. All of these would produce temporary relief at the first try of them, but my acne problem would return. I have now learned that I also suffered from an uneven complexion and a severe mix of oily and dry skin. They skin around my nostrils would flake the worst, yet my forehead and chin would be so oily. I noticed that my skin would get worse depending on the time of year, what climate I was in, and worst of all, my crazy hormones.

Long story short, I tried the Mary Kay Timewise set after attending a Mary Kay makeup party thrown by a friend of mine who was getting married. I bought a sample at first to try it out and immediately saw changes. It doesn't even focus on getting rid of acne, that's just a side-effect! This product in particular is said to provide topical nutrients for the skin, which I think has been the key in this system. They cleanser and lotion do a great job as well, and I highly recommend trying it.

I still get acne, but it's nothing like before. I now only get the kind of acne that lasts for a day and heals fast. And I only seem to get it right before my period. I haven't got the kind that hurts or the kind that just won't go away and takes forever to heal. My skin feels so great and my complexion is so much better! I've been using Mary Kay skin care for about 4 months now, and I am now only buying their products.

Trader Darwin's Melatonin, 500mcg, 100tablets

Trader Darwin's Melatonin, 500mcg, 100tabletsWe had been talking the 300-milligram (thousandths of a gram) melatonin tables that most stores carry, but they weren't improving our sleep habits that much. Then a friend who has terrible insomnia and so has researched the use of melatonin, told us to try using a much smaller dose -250 micrograms (millionths of a gram) taken at about 6-8 p.m. We found these tiny dosages through Amazon; Darwin Joe's is apparently made by Trader Joe's. Anyway, we just take the whole 500 micrograms, and it has really helped both the kids and the adults around here to sleep better. One caveat: they have such a delicious mint flavor that it's almost too yummy -be careful to put the bottle where little kids can't get to it, because they might want to eat them like candy.

This does work. Don't use more than 2 to 2.5mg for kids. But it has been a really great product to help two of my children get to sleep. Would highly recommend it.

CPAP Tube BrushI love my CPAP Tube Brush. I now feel that I am giving a quality cleaning to my CPAP tubes. Rinsing the tubes with soap and water is not as good as adding a brush to aid in the cleaning. I have 6ft tubes and the brush is just long enough to clean the tube. When I have finished using it, I hang it in the shower, keeping the clear plastic tube that came with the tube, to cover it while it hangs in the shower.

The wire that the brush is attached to is sturdy and flexible, easily bending to conform to the shape of my tubes. I would recommend one of these to anyone with a CPAP/BiPAP.

Mack's Ear Seals with Removable Cord (Pair)

Mack's Ear Seals with Removable CordI bought a pair of Mack's Ear Seals a few years ago at a local drug store, and they are some of the best reusable earplugs you can buy -certainly the best I've ever used. They have a neon yellow rubber base topped with four graded silicone flanges. From tip to end, they're about one inch long.

The NRR (noise reduction rating) of these earplugs is 27 decibels, and man, do they work well. I wear them primarily at concerts and find that they allow me to hear the band clearly, but they reduce the noise level to a comfortable volume.

I also wear these earplugs while traveling (a godsend in planes, trains, and youth hostels), and sometimes while sleeping at home to block out the really loud chirping birds that have nested in the tree outside our bedroom window. These earplugs cancel out small sounds entirely.

The grippy silicone flanges keep these earplugs in place. The fit is pretty comfortable, much more so than I find memory foam earplugs to be, and I have average-sized ear canals. (For those with smaller ear canals, I would recommend Etymotic's Baby Blues Earplugs.) Wearing Mack's Ear Seals while sleeping works fine for me because I tend to sleep on my back; however, those who sleep on their sides or stomachs may not find these earplugs comfortable against a pillow because the yellow ends stick out past the ear.

Mack's Ear Seals are made of silicone and rubber, so they are perfect for those with latex allergies and are waterproof. They come in a clear rectangular snap case, which is handy for traveling. In addition to the plugs, you also get a thin detachable cord. I have personally never used the cord, but I see how it could be useful for sporting events, etc. Recommended!

If you gently twist them into your ear, you can hear NOTHING other than the buzzing in your own head!

These are probably the best I've ever tried.

2 drawbaks:

1. they have a stem that sticks out too much to make them appropriate for sleeping with

2. they are slightly big, which means that you constantly feel them in your ear, if you're on the small side. No way you can avoid that completely with any plug, but it is a bit uncomfortable.

When you take them off, though, you just suddenly realize you were sitting in a room full of noises you never even noticed--until you saw what real silence is about!

Remember to always TWIST them out, not pull them out, as they may make your ears pop badly...

These are pretty good for lap swimming. I am admittedly not very fast, but I didn't need any Swimmers Ear drops or the like after my work out today.

I like the cord on it because I think it would be awkward to try to chase down one that happened to fall out. There was no danger of these falling out, though, when they were inserted and there was no pain or pressure. It was an added bonus that it made things even quieter and more serene.

I recommend these!

Update 10/31/10: I think I have used these approximately 10 times and the cord pulled out of the plug on one side today. They are still keeping water out, though.

I've been told I have small ear canals but these still fit great. I had considered noise cancelling head phones but these are so much more ecconomical and portablitiy is a no brainer. If you are looking for something to help quiet your environment for a little while, please don't spend your money on electronics, try these first.

I have used many different brands of earplugs as I am a light sleeper and often have had no choice if I wanted to get any decent amount of sleep. These earplugs are hands down the best on the market. I hear nothing and for me they are very comfortable to sleep with all night.

I do not twist them in or out. I simply grab my ear with the opposing hand, reaching from behind my head and tug on my ear to open more and push in the plug with the other hand and do the same in reverse to remove. The cord is also great as anyone who is a frequent user of earplugs know they can come up missing very easily. Still using a pair that were purchased well over a year and a half ago!

If you try these you definitely will not be disappointed. If you are still worried about the minimal amount of noise that does get through, you need to sleep in a vacuum chamber.

High Potency Lactoferrin 100 mg 90 Caps by Swanson Ultra

High Potency Lactoferrin 100 mg 90 Caps by Swanson UltraMy cat has Herpes so he sneeze and wheeze time to time.

I tried Enisyl-F Lysine but barely worked.

Then I've heard that Lactoferrin works for Herpes.

So I tried this cause I couldn't find a Lactoferrin for pet.

It worked!

He hasn't sneezed and wheezed since then(around couple month)

This is amazing especially in this winter time.

Regular Gel Cooling Pad

Regular Gel Cooling PadThis is actually a very effective passive way of cooling down. However, as the gel absorbs the heat from your body, it warms up. I usually only get an hour or two of cooling power from these.

I have put mine in the fridge to cool it down further, but the gel actually gets hard, and while it cools longer, it isn't as comfortable. On hotter nights, I like to have it handy and I use it to "cool my middle" but placing it on a pillow works well too.

I've actually used a similar model for several years, so these do last over time.

Nice pad for a quick cool down. It gets warm in less than an hour but feels nice for a while. Offers relief from hot flashes

I've put up with night sweats for many years, toughing it out, tossing off sheets, occasionally running my hands under cold water or using a cold washcloth when it got bad. These pads are a perfect non-medication -and dry! -solution. I bought two. They stay by my bedside and when I get too hot, I place them under my knees or neck, wherever I think they will help. They are thin and comfortable and keep cool for several minutes, enough to cool me down. I've never put them in the fridge. That might be too much for me. A few minutes back out in the air, and they are ready to cool again. I've had them a few days, so this is not a review about their long-term reliability. I'll post back later on that. Four stars until I see if they continue to work.

A month later...

The pad works very well. It won't hold a chill forever, but usually enough to halt a hot flash or nightsweat. The room temp affects the success. It's summer and, although I have central air, sometimes it"s a bit warm (and my whole body temp is warmer) and the pad heats up faster. It also takes longer to cool down in that circumstance. That's why I'm glad I bought two. I don't fret about night sweats anymore. These are a good, affordable solution.

The best spots for me to place the pads are: back of my knees and under my feet.

This thing is very small, considering it is supposed to go inside your pillowcase. Tried it a few nights & it doesn't stay cool & actually seemed to stay about the temperature of my own body heat. I put it in the frig thinking that would help but it only stayed cool for about 45 minutes.

Marpac Marsona TSCI-330 US & International Travel Sound Conditioner with ** BONUS ** Sleeping Mask!

Marpac Marsona TSCI-330 US & International Travel Sound Conditioner with ** BONUS ** Sleeping Mask!It does a great job, drowns out a partner's snoring and allows for a super night's sleep. I wouldn't be without it.

Having had a large size Marsona in the past, I assumed this one would be as good. It is not, so do not waste any money on it. The speaker is small, so there is no power to provide a loud white noise. It has only two volume levels, and even at the highest, it cannot mask anything for lack of sufficient volume (is very quiet actually). From the packaging and documentation it is also not clear if this will work with 220/240V in Europe, which it should if it is a travel version. They included international plugs to attach, so I must assume it should then function there too.

Buy Marpac Marsona TSCI-330 US & International Travel Sound Conditioner with ** BONUS ** Sleeping Mask! Now

I am a light sleeper, and find the Marpac travel sound conditioner a must for travel. The international version is very easy to use as long as you have the right plug adapter. The small machine is loud enough to block out the strange noises of the street or hotel. We would not travel without it.

SlumberCare Neck Support SupremeCare Memory Foam Pillow, Ergonomic Side, Sleeper Shape

SlumberCare Neck Support SupremeCare Memory Foam Pillow, Ergonomic Side, Sleeper ShapeThis pillow has a perfect shape for side sleepers and yes, is very firm, but not uncomfortably so. For me, the firmness is perfect. It took me about a week to adjust to the different texture and shape of the pillow. I had a headache upon wakening after the first two days of sleeping on it, but I have experienced this with every ergonomic pillow I have used.

Side sleepers need firm support for the neck and head. If you are not a side sleeper (or even back sleeper), this pillow will not be the right shape for your sleeping habits. This pillow will probably not suit stomach sleepers very well.

I'm sad that the firmness of the pillow seems to be decreasing though. It is softer and not as firm as before. This is after about 3-4 months of nightly use. I noticed it getting slightly softer after 2 months. Every ergonomic pillow I have used in the past has done this so maybe my expectations are too high.

I give this pillow an overall great review and side sleepers will probably not miss sore or stiff necks and shoulders that they may experience with traditional pillow shapes.

Pillows in general are very subjective. For me, this pillow does what I need it to. It takes the pressure off of my shoulder while I sleep and already I have less pain as a result.

I start with this pillow and switch to my old one when I need to. Last night, my 2nd night using this pillow, I swapped out after approximately 5 hours. I expect it will take several more days for me to get fully adjusted to the new pillow. This is to be expected when adjusting to a unique pillow such as this. Even though I am not yet at the point of using it all night, I have noticed less pain (almost no pain) in my shoulder and neck when I wake up.

Typical of memory foam, there is a strong smell to this pillow. I do not know how long it will take for this smell will fade. If you are scent sensitive this may not be a good pillow for you.

The pillow is very firm and uniquely shaped. It is not a pillow with which to put behind your back to read. It may not be a good pillow for those who change positions when they sleep. Also, if you have a narrow build, you may find that height is too high.

This ergonomic neck pillow arrived much larger than I was anticipating (which I was grateful for since I have a california king bed for my husband -but I'm only 5'4" and 135lbs.) I'd been suffering from neck pain and radiculopathy for several months prior to purchasing this pillow and had attempted all other therapeutic modalities, minus accupuncture, for relief. I had also purchased several other pillows and without success, I continued to remain in pain. I do agree with the other reviewers, this pillow does tend to seem harder than preferred should you be a back sleeper. However, when I'm going to sleep on my side, the pillow fits comfortably and has just the right firmness. Should you be a prone sleeper, I do not know any pillow that would be appropriate especially if you have neck issues. Also, the odor that some folks reported upon receiving their pillow, I did not notice. I have now had this pillow for two months and have noticed a significant decrease in my neck pain and radiculopathy. I do not awakened with neck discomfort like I had before and thankfully, only experience occasional neck discomfort and radiculopathy only while working. Thus, if you are a side-sleeper, I have absolutely no reservations whatsoever to recommend this pillow for you --otherwise, if you are a back or prone sleeper --keep looking, this is not the pillow for you. Hope this helps!

This item has a very toxic odor. I have put 4 pillowcases on it and it still smells bad. It must be the material it is made of. I have allergies and this has not helped at all.

Adrenal-Rebuilder-150-Caplets-by-Dr-Wilsons-Original-Formulations

Adrenal-Rebuilder-150-Caplets-by-Dr-Wilsons-Original-FormulationsThese products are incredible. I have suffered from anxiety and fatigue for three years as well as irratic sleep patterns. Tired in the daytime but popping awake around 10pm and unable to sleep until 1 or 2am.

After seeing a nurse practitioner I was diagnosed with adrenal and thyroid fatigue. She had me read Dr. Wilsons book: Adrenal Fatigue. I took these products designed by him ( evidently made by Future Formulations) and within two days I felt like a different person: energy, clarity, confidence and ability to get a normal good night's sleep. Within a week I felt 20 years younger and the person I used to be. I highly recommend these products. Along with the Adrenal Stress and Adrenal REbuilder I also took Dr. Wilson's Adrenal C Formula and his Herbal Adrenal Support formula drops. I took the minimum dosages, 1 pill with each meal and the drops AM and PM. I had spectacular results.Profoundly grateful to have my life back and highly reccomend these products as well as Dr. Wilson's book.Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress SyndromeFuture Formulations Super Adrenal Stress Formula 150 Capsules

As a registered nurse I was a little skeptical that a "herbal product" could restore my health and sleep but it definitely does what it claims-( I have tried many other products) i ran out of tablets due to poor planning and am struggling to get this shipped to Australiawithin 3 weeks i crashed and am unfortunately back to severe fatigue and insomnia.

Great product!!! Just a word of caution adrenal fatigue/ thyroid sufferers often experience difficulty taking medication or herbals due to poor digestionI recommend building this up slowlyby taking just half even quarter of a tablet and building up to tolerance. Another disadvantagewhich is why it only got 4 starsvery expensive for fatigued people usually struggling to work and the treatment time is very longvery very costly procedure.

Probably the best over the counter adrenal support supplement available. I've tried everything form "fatigued to fantastic" supps, adrenal glandular products(pig or bovine based), adaptogen herbs, and liquorice based supplements too.

The trick is that it doesn't necessarily give a perceived boost as much as if you don't use it, how much more run down you can feel. Over time its amazing how much more fuel is in the gas tank when you may need to go deeper than usual on a particular day.

Strongly recommend avoiding caffeine as much as possible. It won't interact with this supplement however, caffeine as well as sugar seem to add to the work load upon the adrenals(which is self defeating).

Another factor is adding in a lifestyle change that will lower either physical demands and/or lower the stress load. Bottomline is don't put in all on the pill to correct the problem.

Dosage can be as high as 3 pills three times a day, however for if your on HC already 1 or 2 twice a day should be fine.

As an aside, I noticed a bottle in the medicine cabinet of the main character in an early episode of Showtimes, "Homeland" TV series. Maybe the mainstream is starting to find this product.

Amazing product!! I would have never thought that I would feel such an awesome difference in the way I was feeling in as little as 2 weeks time. My Doctor told me he wanted me on this product and not just any adrenal product but this one! Since my doctor has been right about everything else he has done for me I trusted his word and purchased this product. All I can say is, that it has given me my life back. I was feeling so poorly I was ready to give up hope. Now I am feeling better than I have in years!!!! Everyone notices the difference it has made. My husband, friends and co-workers all were shocked at how much this has turned my health around. Thanks to Dr.T and to Dr Wilson's Adrenal re builder.God Bless them BOTH!

Adrenal Rebuilder was recommended to me by my world class integrative MD. Yes, it will help you recover from adrenal fatigue when other things may not work; as it did for me. You may have to take a maintenance dose once you recover as it is very easy to lapse back into adrenal fatigue. The hormones have been removed from these pig glands so you will not get a jolt of energy like you may get from other glandulars. Most adrenal supplements only give you raw adrenal but this product gives you five different types of glands which are related to stress response in the body.

According to Dr. Wilson's website, "It is designed to build and support healthy adrenal tissue structure and function, and support the other glands most affected by stress. This unique formula is composed of dried porcine adrenal, gonad, hypothalamus, pituitary and thyroid gland extracts that have been processed to be hormone free. These glandular concentrates contain important natural building blocks and other nutrients your body can use to help promote and support normal function and structure in stressed and fatigued adrenal glands, as well as in the other endocrine glands affected by stress."

Hyland's Calms Nerve Tension Sleeplessness, 100 - 4 gr. Tablets (Pack of 3)

Hyland's Calms Nerve Tension Sleeplessness, 100 - 4 gr. TabletsI highly recommend this product. I have bad problems with insomnia. My mind won't let me settle, I end up working on many things, etc. I take 1 pill (without food) and start working on my projects like normal. Usually by the time an hour as gone by at the most, I cannot work anymore. I feel like I have been sedated and must sleep. I was worried that it would make me difficult to wake, however my toddler had no problems waking me up for toilet time during the night. I woke up feeling fine and the best part is, the next night I started having the same sleepy feelings at the same time.

Finally something that really helps me sleep and is safe! I take it just before bed if I'm feeling stressed; I used to have difficulty falling back to sleep after getting up in the middle of the night, but this definitely helps me stay sleepy and not get distracted by racing thoughts.

I have been using this very product for over 20 years, probably closer to 30 years now. It helps me sleep, lowers my high blood pressure, calms me down if I've had too much coffee, and helped a lot when I lost my mother last year.

I highly recommend this for nervousness, sleeplessness, mild anxiety. No bad interactions at all, and can still drive very well after taking the recommended dose. You can even give this to your dog on stressful occasions like July 4th!
